Highly disappointed with Genesis replacing my windshield. They installed scratched glass and did not install the brand of glass they quoted me.   I chose Genesis to replace the windshield because they were responsive, comparatively priced, had the brand of glass I wanted, and had good reviews. The brand of glass was important to me because I could have repaired the small rock chip but decided to replace instead.  After dealing with Genesis, I would not recommend them to anyone. They returned the vehicle with a dirty windshield which I have never experienced with other companies and a different brand of glass than quoted. Upon cleaning the windshield I noticed scratches at the top corners. I reached out to Genesis about the different brand of windshield and scratches. The owner insisted the scratches were from me cleaning it because "they check all the glass from the warehouse". I do not know if the scratches were there from the warehouse or caused by the installer cleaning it with a razor blade but they were not from cleaning it with glass cleaner and a microfiber.   The owner offered to replace the glass with the same brand or I could pay $100 more to receive the brand he originally quoted me. Because of the quality of the first install, Genesis not taking responsibility for the scratches and the fact that he refused to install the glass he quoted me without paying more, I was not willing to let him touch my vehicle again. I asked for a refund to have it replaced correctly elsewhere and he refused. I will be having the windshield replaced correctly by a different installer. If you care about your vehicle, I do not recommend Genesis. You can get higher quality work at the same price from other installers. read more

Second time I've used Genesis Auto Glass. Had no issues the first time, however last week they replaced a cracked windshield on my jeep. When I removed the tape they put on to hold the glass in place, it removed some of the finish off of the paint on my car. When I called them, they gave me every excuse why it's not their problem. The glass was replaced on a Wednesday, I took the tape off on Friday morning. I called the same day to report it to the tech who had done the replacement. He said to send some pirctures and he would talk to his boss. When I called back on Monday, the owner assumed I had waited until Monday to remove the tape, hence the comment that "no longer than 3 days". Them: You have to remove the tape within 3 days. Me: I did. It was removed within 48 hours. Them: Well, it should have been removed after 24 hours. Me: Well, nobody said it HAD to be removed no later than 24 hours. I was told to leave it on for AT LEAST 24 hours so the glue would dry. Them: It's never happened to us before. It must have been a defect in your vehicles paint. Me: Well, it's happend now. Also, what are the odds there is a defect in my vehicles paint in exactly two of the four places where you placed tape on my vehicle? Them: There's nothing we can do. Me: There's nothing you CAN do? Or there's nothing you're WILLING to do? Needless to say, I will not be using them again. I also took my jeep to an auto body shop and showed them the damage to get an estimate. When they saw the tape they said that tape should NEVER be used. It's basically packing tape and there are other tape options that don't have such a strong adhesive. read more

Yo.....no joke...Oliver from Genesis is THE MAN. I unfortunately got my car broken into last night by some innis who had the misfortune of breaking into a car that only had a Costco size bag of granola inside...WHICH THEY DIDN'T EVEN TAKE!! the nerve..... I contacted Genesis this morning on my way to work with snow blowing into my window at 45 mph. I wasn't in the best mood.... Oliver got back to me within 5 min and quoted me a price that would make my teacher salary size wallet sing to the gods. We were in constant contact through text of when he would arrive. Also, I should mention, it is SNOWING like no other right now, and he came 45 minutes from Laurel MD to Bethesda MD to do this. Thanks for the great work on my 2018 Honda Accord! I called around and was told that I was going to have to pay extra to calibrate my vehicle because of the sensors on my windshield. Many places wanted over $800 for the windshield and calibration, which is outrageous when Honda charges less than $150 to calibrate your vehicle. Anyways, decided to go with Genesis Auto Glass. Oliver advised that I would not need to calibrate my vehicle and that the glass I was getting was of same quality as the original. Genesis Auto Glass offers mobile services and after showing up within the agreed timeframe, it took Oliver about an hour to get it done. I was impressed with the quality of the work. He was very knowledgeable and eased all of my doubts. All of the sensors in my car work perfectly fine! Genesis Auto Glass saved me some money during these difficult times. I've never needed a new windshield and I'm really glad I went with Genesis. The price with the big national chain was $400. Genesis did it for $238, including taxes. I was curious about the process and Oliver answered all of my questions. The new windshield looks just like the old one did when the car was new. Actually, Oliver explained a feature of my car that I didn't know it had. There's a heater built into the windshield that comes on when the back windshield heater comes on. Nice! Oliver was pleasant, professional and worked quickly. Before he left he made sure to remind me of the nationwide warranty and told me to not wash the car for 3 days and to leave the tape on the windshield for at least 24 hours. Wow! Oliver was responsive, fast and my new glass looks absolutely perfect! He was on time, repaired in less than an hour and even gave me some sunshield tint to avoid the glare! About a week ago I was rushing to go into the office, for an important meeting. Once outside, I discovered that my car windshield had been smashed by a stray golf ball. Luckily, I had the option to to join the meeting from home, but I was, also expected to, virtually, attend a staff meeting, the next day. As I was pondering how to manage the situation, a friend who knew about my windshield, just so happened to have been driving behind a GAG van. She took a pic & sent the contact information for the company. I had contacted my insurance company, & confirmed that my deductible was $500.00. Don't ask... The pic was a Godsend, because, the out of pocket was as high & $350. I called GAG for a quote, & when Oliver Hernandez quoted me a price of $175, I hopped on it. Who doesn't want to save money? Worst case scenario would have been hidden fees, etc. The real sell was the next day appointment he offered me. I needed to drive my car, ASAP, not 2 or 3 days later... Oliver & crew showed up earlier than the scheduled time, but he CALLED ME 1st, to let me know his ETA. That was important, too, because I was able to give the Big Boss notice that I would be disappearing from the meeting in order to meet w/Oliver. When GAG arrived, the key hand off was quick, I was able to get back to the meeting, w/out missing important information. They were done in less that 45 minutes. They accept all forms of payment, so that transaction was seamless. He sent a digital receipt, which made it easier to get reimbursed from the Golf Course! Overall, Oliver, & crew were pleasant & professional. I was COMPLETELY satisfied! So much so that I informed the Manager Of my complex to contact me if another resident has a similar issue. I've been here for more than 4 years & I've never had a golf ball hit my car, but it could happen again... I would use GAG, again, and I'd DEFINITELY recommended their services. *side note: it rained right after he installed the new windshield, & it has rained a few more times, since.
