Oh my. What can I say about this company. I called and spoke to Gary (owner). He was so pleasant, willing to answer all your questions and make sure he provides you with satisfactory workmanship. I called Gary on 1/28/25 and he came to my location and completed what I needed the next day. He was honest telling me what I needed. Hell, I see him as my own personal mechanic now lol. Kudos to you Gary. I'll be using your services again and give recommendations. read more

I truly can't recommend Gary and DMV Auto Glass more highly! They were willing to come out in less than 24 hours of my inquiry and gave me an incredibly reasonable price quote. I did my research first and chose them due to their great reviews, their prompt reply & overall really great communication, their comprehensive free estimate, and last but certainly not least, due to the fact that their services cost less than almost all of their competitors. Plus when my schedule changed, they were more than accommodating and really worked around me. They came exactly on time, calling ahead to let me know they were on their way, only needed half a hour to replace my broken rear window shield, were very Covid and generally safety conscious - wearing masks and gloves, and vacuumed the broken glass plus cleaned up beautifully overall. They didn't even actually require me to be there on scene but of course I wanted to come out, admire their workmanship and to meet them. The final price was actually less than the free estimate I'd received; I'm still blown alway by that! It was also incredibly easy to pay them as they take multiple kinds of payment in the form of checks, debit/credit card, apps like Venmo, cash, etc. They truly did an amazing job, in fact it looks better than it did before. I don't normally leave such long reviews but I just have to say that Gary really is a consummate professional and DMV Auto Glass a genuine top tier company. If you're on the fence about getting any auto glass services done, rest easy in that you'll be in for a great experience. read more

DMV Auto Glass - Thanks so much for my new rear window, looks fantastic! - Auto Glass Services Near Me

On 7/20/24 I had my front passenger window replaced. Overall it looked great but I noticed flaws. The technician was kind and professional. However. The technician did not correctly placed all the parts back correctly. I wasn't able to open the door from the inside nor secured it. Also, the window does not roll up how the previous one or the others does - smoothly. It seems that it struggles a bit to roll up. And the window was left very Dirty. I tried contacting them but would not answer or return my calls. These people will take your money and disappear. I asked for a receipt and never received one. DO NOT use their services. They are horrible. The only proof I have is that I paid them through Zelle. So I have a name if I need to take to them small claims court or take any legal action. AGAIN DONT USE THEM. Very unprofessional and spent additional money to get the issue fixed. read more

Called them a little before 12 noon, and my window was fixed a little before 3 pm. My car was broken into and my whole back window was totally gone. I obviously didn't want to drive like that. So, I was glad that this shop did mobile repair. The service guy came through, fixed the window, and vacuumed the glass out my car. The cost was a tad high, but I didn't do much shopping around, because I needed something fast. & in that area, they excelled. read more

It is seldom the case that any service provider completes any job for the price that is agreed upon. They always find a way to add a hidden charge. DMV Auto Glass is no exception. DMV agreed to install a new windshield for $219, if I would write a check for $219 or pay $219 in cash. DMV said the charge would be slightly more, if I paid by credit card. So, we agreed that I would write a check for $219. Period. But, I ended up writing a check for $253.34. The difference entailed an extra $20 for rubber molding and $14.34 for sales tax. So instead of writing a check for $219, which was the agreement; I had to write a check for an extra $34.34. That must be one of the tricks of the trade to get an extra $20 on each windshield replacement. Wait until the last minute to mention that the molding costs $20 extra and that sales tax was omitted from the quote. I said something to DMV about the discrepancy in price, after they completed the job. They said that they meant to send a follow-up email to me, to mention that molding would cost $20 extra. But then forgot. And he apologized for the discrepancy. One would think that the cost of molding would be included in the cost of replacing a windshield because when you replace any windshield; it is understood that there will be materials other than the glass. There will also be caulking and molding. Etc. Overall, I would recommend DMV, anyway, if only because you are not going to do any better when you need a new windshield. You are never going to find any service provider who quotes a price and sticks to it. All of them have their tricks to the trade for finding an excuse to charge extra. read more

My car was broken into from the back driver side window. I went to Yelp to get some quotes and they were the first ones to respond. They were very professional and booked a time very quickly. They texted me the very next day to give me an eta for when they will be at my place and fixed my window. We had a little hiccup with the warehouse giving them the wrong window but they were very professional and courteous. They exchanged it out and came back within an hour to fix my window and they finished the job in 30 minutes. They even vacuumed my car of the window debris. Highly recommend. read more

Thank you for replacing my damaged windshield. I spoke to Gary and was pleasantly surprised to get next day mobile service at a very reasonable price. I was concerned about the quality of the aftermarket windshield when compared with OEM. Gary explained that I am able to order OEM through a dealer, but would pay more and wait several days for delivery. Gary explained that the aftermarket windshield they provide are good quality and meet safety standards just as OEM. I felt much better. Gary gave me a time frame for next day service and was on schedule. He communicated with me when he was in the area and approximate time he would arrive. Gary and his business partner were professional and got the job done in less than one hour. Great work. Thank you. read more

The best! Gary was communicative and quick, transparent pricing, and not only super friendly but did a great job coming right to my house in DC and replacing the front windshield on my Honda Odyssey. Gary did it for cheaper than literally every other place I called, and did a fantastic job. Saved his number to refer friends to him as well, and I'm sure you'll be doing the same. Safelite quoted at $500, lowest I got was $300 + tax from others in DC and Virginia, and Gary beat that price too! With free on the spot service. Amazing!! Was on time, friendly, and great to work with. Hopefully my windshield doesn't break again, but if it does, I know who to call -- DMV Auto Glass! read more

When I discovered that my passenger side window was smashed in, I first called Safelite who told me that the earliest they could fix my window was in 4 days. Seeing all the good reviews on Yelp, I called DMV Auto Glass and Gary came out and fixed my car within hours. He was such a pro and made the process painless. The price was also considerably less than Safelite quoted which made me really happy too. I would not hesitate to recommend Gary and his services to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation. read more

Since he mentioned that the price was lower he said we can go in half on the deference. We texted each other to confirmed on a time and place . He was very attentive and understanding . Had my passenger side front window broken and wanted to get it fixed ASAP. My insurance company suggested another big name company to fix. When I called them I was quoted $270 and when I told them I had found some places that were almost $100 cheaper, they said it could be because they are using cheaper glass or even glass from junk cars. I was also told to make sure there was a warranty. The receptionist was helpful over the phone and I got a call back quickly from Gary, who is also the owner, saying that he could come to me in 30 mins. Not only did he come within the 30 mins, but he assured me that the glass was new and that there would be a warranty on the work he did. He vacuumed out my car and made sure all the broken glass was gone. He was friendly and worked quickly to fix the window. It works perfect now and I am so glad that I decided to look around for another company. Small business can be the way to go sometimes and I'm glad I chose this one! read more

Gary was absolutely amazing to work with! I called him around 9AM, my car window was fixed before 1PM- SAME DAY! Some jerk broke into my car last night in DC and I didn't want to pay the high deductible from Geico so I decided to find someone who can replace the window instead. I shopped around on Yelp, and the reviews led me to Gary. I was so impressed with how quickly and efficiently the job was done- in a professional manner and all the shattered glass in my car was gone! Something I was really worried about. I did end up vacuuming myself a second time (based on Gary's recommendation)- but there was very little left to clean up after he was done. I would recommend this business over and over again! Job well done and at a great price- and I received excellent customer service! BONUS- he came to my home! read more

Unfortunately, I had some debris fly from the road on 95 this weekend and crack my windshield pretty badly. I was pretty sure it needed a replacement as opposed to a repair. Time was of the essence because I was only in MD Saturday-Sunday. I called Nu-Pro because they had great Yelp feedback and said they were open on Sunday. Not sure where the disconnect was, but I called them twice on Sunday AM and no one answered. I left two messages and never heard back. So, now it was after 10 AM and the time crunch was getting more pressing. I went back to the internet and found DMV Auto Glass, also open on Sundays. I called and Gary, the owner answered, confirmed they had what I needed in stock and they said they could do it the same day. The price was nearly half of what I was quoted online by Safelite and they don't even work Sundays. Didn't have much of a choice and decided to give it a shot. Glad I found them! He said he could make it out between two and three and would give me a ring to let me know when he was on his way. Phone rang around 1 and he was there before 2. Really nice guy and professional. He was upfront that he'd try and save the seal, but can't promise that it would work and that it would be another $20 if it wasn't possible. As it turned out, the seal did need to be replaced, but the job was done well, fast, at my location and at the exact price quoted. He took credit cards remotely via iphone which sends an automatic receipt which was nice as well. Highly recommended. read more

Gary is the man when it comes to you fixing your car window. Some dang-nab'd hoodlum broke the window of my wife's car while we were off on vacation. Weirdly, they didn't take anything. Even an admittedly old GPS unit. Not even the sweet collection of burnt CDs I made for her. So likely they were just into mayhem. But back to Gary. My wife checked with Safelite and one other place online and they were quoting her $280-$320 to replace the window. We got back on a Saturday evening and they couldn't get the window replaced until Wednesday. The garbage bag on the window was only going to keep out so much of the impending rain! to the rescue comes Gary! He came first thing on a Monday, only slowed by the warehouse being closed until then. And he did the job for $180! This was definitely a new piece of glass (backing up Grace T.'s review). Gary vacuumed up the broken glass (I did a little detail work per his advice). In sum, he was faster, he was cheaper, he was quick, he was professional. Gary is the MAN! read more
