The price was also cheaper than expected, especially for the mobile service. Worth every penny, can't recommend them more. One small note, my windshield wiper cowling rubber trim was brittle. It absolutely isn't their responsibility to fix this. But, the installation required them to remove this cowling and the rubber crumbled. In hindsight, I should have bought a new cowling trim and left it inside for the installer. Make sure to check any trim/panels near the windshield and order new ones beforehand.

Fast forward to recently, and that tiny crack had grown to about the size of a quarter. I scheduled an appointment for a mobile repair, but literally overnight, that quarter-sized crack expanded even more. When I called Safelite, they were able to move my appointment up, but at that point, a full windshield replacement was necessary. That turned out to be the right call, because the crack quickly spread from one end of the windshield to the other. Sigh! I arrived about 30 minutes early, and my technician was able to take my car right away. He let me know the process would take around three hours, and he was spot on. The waiting area was spacious and comfortable, with a TV and a coffee/water station, which made the time pass easily. Once everything was completed and recalibrated, I was invited to inspect the work. They did an excellent job on my windshield, and I really appreciated the extra attention to detail. He was even able to transfer my car's insignia from the old windshield to the new one. Overall, a smooth, professional experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Safelite.

I was excited when the Capitol heights Safelite technician knocked on my front door, but my excitement was quickly deflated when he informed me that he was instructed not to do the job at all because the piece that was removed by Safelite a couple of years ago was not on the car. One has nothing to do with the other!! If they could change the windshield a couple of years ago, they can absolutely change the windshield now?! I made an appointment almost a week ago, so they wasted my time, impaired my ability to be mobile, and because I paid in advance, they wasted my money!! I rarely complain about anything, especially not in public, but this infraction is unforgivable I need remediation for what amounts to more than an inconvenience. Look at all my other reviews. You'll notice I'm not a complainer. This however, was horrible and must be reported. When I called to talk to a human, both numbers led me to dead ends. I could not even leave a message. I cannot imagine worse service. Use this service at your own peril.
