A new car is in the house and since I can't ride around in a fish bowl, I knew I needed tinted windows. My sisters have both used Pro Tint (the one in Upper Marlboro) on their vehicles and they were both very satisfied. I decided to give the one in Bowie a whirl. I love when you can make appointments to places like this. It saves me time and a lot of hassle. I went to their website and booked a time/date, paid a deposit to hold my spot and submitted it. That was it! Easy Peasy! I received a text and email the day before, as a reminder of my appointment. I arrived on time for my appointment and they got to work right away. If you're planning to stay and wait, like I did, please note they have a few chairs inside the "garage" and it's a bare minimum waiting area, at best. The guys that did my work did an awesome job! They were pretty quiet, but efficient. Full disclosure, I got 20% and 35% mixed up and ended up asking for the incorrect tint. Deep Sigh! I made an appointment for the following day to have it corrected. The guy remembered me from the previous day and made certain to give me a drastically reduced price than what I was initially quoted. My car was completed in a very rapid and timely manner (both times), they were only working on my car (since I had an appointment), and the outcome was gorgeous! Now I can drive around without having all eyes on PS You have to make an appointment to have your car tinted. When you arrive, drive around back to wait for them to either open or finish with the appointment before yours. They also have a car wash behind the tint shop. read more

I saw a review from another customer about this place and thought I would give this place a try. After reading a few of the reviews I moved forward. I went to the website read through it and like what I saw. The site is straight forward. The cost was more than reasonable compared to friends who had their truck windows tinted and the amount they paid. I booked my appointment for noon. I got there 15-minutes early. I walked in identified myself the the young fellow told me where to pull up to. I drove my truck into the bey. The young fellow asked me what percentage I wanted or did I want to match my passengers and rear windows. I said match the tint to the rest of the windows. There was two of them and they began immediately. I was able to sit in the make shift waiting area and watch them go through the process. I was amazed with all of what they were doing. For some reason I thought it was an elaborate process and it wasn't. Once they finished tinting my windows they cleaned up their materials wiped down my truck gave me instructions on what not to do. I've seen this place for years but it always looked like it was abandoned. After being turned away from a location, I decided to go and see if I could get some information. I was seeking a tint on two of my vehicles I had just purchased. I pulled up and saw a gentleman sitting inside but didn't see the door or understand how I could get service. After observing for a while, I pulled up to the door and the gentleman came up and provided pricing and wait time. Because I had two cars, he gave me a little discount which was appreciated. Once the cars were pulled in, they got to work. I couldn't figure out their rhyme or reason but they bust their ass. From start to finish, I'd say it only took about 45 mins. The tint looks great. I did have to do some minor cleaning of the back window a few days later but overall, hell yeah, I'll be back! At this point, I want to buy a building and have them run it for me read more

I showed 20 mins before my appointment and still waited past my appointment time unacceptable.

I only had a visor applied to my front windshield. I arrived just as they were opening the shop up for the day. My car was taken in promptly and service was quick, professional and very reasonably priced. I'd definitely return for future auto tint needs! read more

My boyfriend had the worst experience here. He gave basic specifications as far as how dark he wanted and how far down to go with the visor.... he made the visor go past the legal limit and there are random scratches in the tint. We brought back his truck to see that the visor gets fixed and the manager got an attitude and said we would have to pay $15 to have this fixed. We already had to adjust our day to bring the truck back. Absolutely not. Extremely unprofessional. Would not recommend. read more

I looked ProTint up in Bowie at the recommendation of one of my coworkers. She said they were reasonably priced and they do good work. I have to agree. I made an appointment on Thursday for Saturday morning. I was just getting the two front windows done. The two gentlemen who applied my tint seemed to be very knowledgeable as well as efficient. I walked around the block several times, came back and they were done. My truck looks awesome!! read more

It's okay but not the best. If you're on a budget, than this be a place to come but if you want your car to look the best..just find another place. The person who did my tints just had this attitude as if he didn't want to do it. He even had a attitude when it was time to pay. When I drove off with it, I was like no this is not it. My car was looking tacky ash and mediocre. I took it to another shop down the street from me to get them redone. Omg the results are so much better. I took my car in to get my windows tinted at this establishment and here are my thoughts. The gentleman did an extremely good job tinting the windows however there are a few things that were disappointing. Firstly, when he was finished he left bits of tint on a few windows and pieces that were stuck to my car when he was done. Secondly, and the most disappointing part was he did an awful job cleaning up the interior of the car when he was done. He didn't wipe down the doors or underneath the back window. There was spray all over the place and the back speakers were very wet. My seats also had spray all over them. He also left his metal and plastic knife on my trunk and resting on my spoiler, as well as used my door handle as a hanger for his spray bottle. I take extremely good car of my car and to risk scratching the paint like that was irritating. The actual tint on the windows is top notch but clean up was simply non existent. read more

The price was very good, but not that impressed with the quality. I asked them to redo the passenger window, but it still has small bubbles and some larger ones at the edges. I doubt these will dissipate over time. The back window needs to be re-done; but i don't have the confidence or the time so I need to find a shop that is very quality conscious and may just have them redo the whole car. If you aren't picky then you might be ok with this shop's quality. read more

How do I click on 0 stars? I am not able to rate this business on their work because I was unable to get my windows tinted. I thought I had done my due diligence and researched tint shops effectively. Obviously not. I scheduled an appointment to have my windows tinted 3 days in advance. Firstly, the website advertised a $100 promo. I called to make sure this included all the windows. The gentleman I spoke with said it did, but there were no available times for that day. This was fine. Hence, the online reservation. I received a confirmation email the day before my appointment, but when I got to the shop, there were already 2 cars in the bay with no space for mine. When I told the worker that I had an appointment at 1:00 he was totally oblivious. He said the computer system must have overbooked. Does this business not verify the appointments made (whether online or over the phone) at the beginning of each business day? Seemingly, if this has been a previous issues, they should know and make every effort to correct it. The gentleman who was working said that he could try to fit me in somewhere. No thank you, sir. I will not be patronizing your business. He seemed perfectly fine with me walking away dissatisfied. read more

I found ProTint on Craigslist after a thorough search for tinting shop in the DMV area. After a phone call on a busy Saturday they were kind enough to give me same day appointment. This place is reasonably priced and they true professionals. Lamar and team did an amazing job on my car. I couldn't be happier. After the tinting job was finished, I had my car hand washed at ProWash, which is also owned by Lamar and team. This place is awesome and I HIGHLY recommend you check them out. read more

I had my tint installed April 20 by Thomas ( I believe). It was hard to get in contact with him initially, however, he returned my call and set up an appointment. I was skeptical at first, but he was very professional and assured me my car was in good hands. I dropped my car off and within 1 and half it was ready for pick up. He allowed me time to walk around the car to inspect it. Everything was fine. He instructed me to wait 3 days to roll down the windows and about 10 to wash (I believe). I waited until May 2 to do the post to see if I would have any bubbles or scratches that I missed upon pick up. NOTHING! Everything still looks good. He even gave me a complementary car wash. I highly recommend and the price was reasonable. The only reason for the 4 stars was because no one was available at the shop during the working hours when I initially tried contacting on both Thursday and Friday, however, Thomas made up for it with the quick same day service Saturday. read more
