Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.

I've known Sunbusters and its people for about 6 years now when I had my car windows tinted. The tints are still in excellent condition up to now and still look as if they were just installed. Incredible! I just visited the shop and was greeted very nicely by the tinting guys. I had my new car' windows tinted by them. I have no doubt about the superb workmanship and i highly recommend that should you need to have your car windows tinted, go to Sunbusters. No one can beat these guys. Kudos! read more

I love when you can make appointments to places like this. It saves me time and a lot of hassle. I went to their website and booked a time/date, paid a deposit to hold my spot and submitted it. That was it! Easy Peasy! I received a text and email the day before, as a reminder of my appointment. I arrived on time for my appointment and they got to work right away. If you're planning to stay and wait, like I did, please note they have a few chairs inside the "garage" and it's a bare minimum waiting area, at best. The guys that did my work did an awesome job! They were pretty quiet, but efficient. Full disclosure, I got 20% and 35% mixed up and ended up asking for the incorrect tint. Deep Sigh! I made an appointment for the following day to have it corrected. The guy remembered me from the previous day and made certain to give me a drastically reduced price than what I was initially quoted. My car was completed in a very rapid and timely manner (both times), they were only working on my car (since I had an appointment), and the outcome was gorgeous! Now I can drive around without having all eyes on PS You have to make an appointment to have your car tinted. When you arrive, drive around back to wait for them to either open or finish with the appointment before yours. They also have a car wash behind the tint shop.

The main reason I tried this shop is because I was able to book my appointment online. Bob, the owner, strategically books appointments for each person for a few hours out. Therefore, you're the only person sitting in the waiting room and he's only working on your car. Genius Idea!! No more first come first serve business because you have an actual appointment!! I booked online, received a confirmation and was sent a reminder the day of my appointment. I was greeted by Bob when I arrived and he described what he thought would look nice on my car. He even showed me examples of other cars he recently serviced that were similar. He was very customer service oriented and checked on me a few times to make sure I was okay in the waiting room. He even brought me back to check out my car after he finished the first side. I was really impressed with this young black entrepreneur. He does excellent work and is clearly a few steps above the rest with being able to book online. Prices vary, so inquire within. APPOINTMENTS ONLY! Tint Spot 301 accepts cash and credit, but a tax will be applied to your credit card, so cash is always best. Come and check him out, you won't be sorry!

Oh, and for anyone wondering what the specs are on the tint, I purchased CIR25 by 3M. CIR25 is a premium nano-ceramic automotive window film offered by 3M (often referenced as CeramicIR or CIR). The "25" designates a 25% Visible Light Transmission (VLT), meaning the film allows 25% of external light into the vehicle, balancing a sleek, dark aesthetic with comfortable nighttime visibility. Tucked away, the technician met me at the receptionist station. The tint technician was polite, quiet, rather attractive & tall. He also had long dreadlocks which are a weakness. Anyhow, the tech verified what needed done, the tint percentages & then took my car for servicing. It was within the hour so I walked to 7/11. Unbeknownst to me, I inadvertently met another " detail technician" working on my car at the store register. This individual was also tall, dark & handsome. I was simply overwhelmed.
