During the pandemic, I purchased a classic van. It came without a stereo; the previous owner removed it. I had a small budget for something temporary so I purchased a Pioneer unit on Amazon. Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon. read more

I've worked with Hot Tints and Sound many times in the past and always had great experiences, so I assumed this visit would be the same. I was happy to schedule tinting and a remote start installation. Unfortunately, my experience walking through the door this time was immediately negative. I understand I was 39 minutes late, but the front desk representative repeatedly emphasized how important their time was, without considering other factors like traffic. The constant badgering made the situation uncomfortable and unprofessional. Ultimately, I decided to leave because the interaction didn't feel respectful or customer-focused. I had an appointment today for tint service at this location, and when I picked up my car, I saw it wasn't the tint I thought they were going to put in. The day before, I had put in a sample on one of their vehicles, whose tint number I thought they already had that information in their system. I was talking calmly with the young receptionist, telling her my impression when I saw my car, but I was LITERALLY about to pay. When this man arrived at the reception desk, he seemed very upset, as if someone was looking to make accusations. He was repeating the number I wanted, but unfortunately, I don't know about tint numbers, so I didn't understand why he was making such a big deal out of me. He could have asked her what number I chose the day before, but there was no communication. I wasn't demanding that he correct the tint. I was very confused by this situation because I wasn't looking for arguments; I just wanted to pay and leave. I didn't have any more time to waste because what was done was already done. When I got into the car I noticed that my door was dripping with liquid but it was already dry, it looked ugly but it's something I can clean, I was very nervous and disappointed at the same time because no business has spoken to me so rudely. He didn't even greet me. In my opinion, he could have easily told me everything he had to say in a good way. I never answered him because he seemed very upset, the whole situation was uncomfortable. In conclusion, it was just his bad attitude. For the rest, I give it five stars, but the girl with straight hair who also speaks Spanish treated me very well from the moment I went to make the appointment. She took me to see other cars to use as an example because it was my first time doing this. She is very kind and clear in everything. This place is great in case you are trying to get your windows tinted. "Will" the main guy in the office was super informative with helping me decide which percentage to get. I wanted to get some tints on my hoopty that has a lot of miles because I was tired of randoms staring at me through the window. haha. Problem solved. This location is close to the train tracks and placed in the cut, so make sure you drive slow as you get closer to the spot so you don't miss out the entrance. There is enough parking and if you are here for tints? they book you through appointments only because it takes 2-3 hours to finish the job. If you got your deal through a groupon? Be mindful that this place does have fees for glue removal and small windows. I had to pay an additional $80 on top of the groupon deal so make sure you call prior to buying it through there. Although I liked the tint job I got, I was really not happy about how they charge for their services. I bought a Groupon ahead of time that discounted a $299 service for $99. So I'm thinking I'm saving $200, but No. So they have 3 options: Good, Better, Best. The Good Tint costs $113 for a sedan (5 windows), No Warranty. The Better Tint costs $226, which I bought and has a lifetime warranty. The Best Tint (Best Quality) costs $339 and also has a warranty. So I bought a $299 service for $99 ahead of time and used it. They also charged me $123 on top of that, so I spent a total of $222 for their Better (Medium Quality) Tint. So basically, the Groupon gave me a $4 discount total. Their advertised price for my Tint was $226. I paid $99 for the Groupon and was still charged $123 additional, for a total of $222. I saw someone else post a review that these guys are a Scam. I wouldn't call it that but I would call it false advertising, maybe that's the same thing. Anyways, like I said earlier, so far I'm happy with the tint after 4 days so far and we'll see how it lasts, as promised or not, it has a lifetime warranty. I came here a few years ago for my old car and had no issues. I had a lifetime warranty on the carbon ones and had a little rip happen but never attempted to fix it since it didnt bother me and was my doing. Now i got a new car and wanted to tint the windows quick. Was planning on coming back for the new car, especially because around here the reviews for tint folk suck! Read the reviews the worst they say is you need to wipe your car out or the people werent nice. I dont need to have a pleasant convo i just need it to look right and last time i dont remember thinking they made a mess I came in during my appointment time (within 2 weeks of getting the groupon to help make this more affordable. They do charge $10 each for the triangle windows and an extra 60 or so for the carbon tint. A few bucks more for the ceramic. All windows takes about 2-3 hrs total according to the estimate. The people working here are just downright rude, don't know how to talk on the phone, have 0 customer service skills, and will constantly try to upsell you. All I wanted was a simple remote engine start installed for my car and every chance they get they would ask if I wanted to upgrade to their highest package. I had to tell them no multiple times. Then they would give you attitude for not willing to upgrade.....way to be professional. We got remote start installed here on our other car years ago and it was a completely different experience. Seems to have really gone downhill. I got replacement rims on my Mercedes CLS which look great and got a good price on them. Had an issue with a faulty tire sensor that was put on (obviously not their fault) but I brought it in and they replaced it right away. Brought in my new S63 to get windows tinted. I got the 90% heat reduction tint which I will appreciate in the Summer. Its not as dark as most tints but I think that's a good thing because police wont harass you and it wouldn't look right with my car color. Had a 12pm appointment and it was done at 3. The customer service here just straight up sucks and no one is professional in there. No one's in uniform, the front desk girl was wearing a long t-shirt without pants. I was in the waiting room for roughly 2.5hrs. Which they do not clean, there were cobwebs all over the ceiling and the walls and dust everywhere, making it hard to breathe after awhile. I then went over to the window to see the progress on my car and I saw the "tech" sitting in my car eating lunch and texting. The manager was eating at the front desk(don't y'all have a break room?) and asked if he could help me and I just asked how long the process usually takes because this guy is texting and not working on my car. My cousins generously bought me a Groupon to get my windows tinted from Hot Tints. I had to cancel my initial appointment but since we've been in quarantine, I decided that now was the best time to get tints so they can cure without me rolling down my windows all the time. The lady behind the register talked me through all the steps and even showed me different packages I could upgrade to but I decided to stick with the one that was gifted to me. My car doesn't have pocket windows, but if yours do then that's an additional charge on top on the groupon. The groupon is definitely the bottom of the bottom but to me, the deal and the tints were perfect! I dropped my car off at noon and by 4PM it was ready. In the end, I just paid tax on what would've been my bill and I was out the door. A week later, all the bubbles that were initially there have disappeared. 6/22/17 Good speedy service...go's down hill from there....William hookup my car with new sound system. He's a Friendly professional..disappointing mistake, He screw my bass control knob in the wrong area...he moved it ....now I have four screw holes in my door panel. I also had my CXP Carbon tint removed. I asked them to only remove the two front windows. instead they remove all my pocket windows ..WTF? After spending over $600 there I don't remember hearing a "thank you, enjoy your system" or anything from the lady at the counter. As If they were doing me a favor .... surely, I will take my business elsewhere... I left feeling, I spent more money than I should and the job done was half ass. NOT GOOD Groupon will not save you money, You will pay more! BUYER BEWARE I also found a razor cut on my new subwoofer!!! WTF!? UPDATE: 6/23/17 I did receive a call from William... we argue that it was me who wanted the bass knob, where it was ....(NO!!!) and not taking the responsibility for the cut Subwoofer... but cannot argue about the missing tint. RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATION. Rich and crew did an amazing job installing 2 different tint products in our south facing condo with each room having a wall of floor to 11' ceiling commercial glass. With Rich's recommendation we chose the highest level of tinting for our bedrooms to reduce the heat buildup and on a day like today, 97 deg, sunny, high humidity, it's is quite comfortable. I went with a lighter shade tint for the living room. Installation was professional and took only one day, the product is awesome, and the price was reason especially for the size of the job. I highly recommend do not coming here. I have had a car done here before and they didn't butcher that job like they did this time. I bought a 2023 car and brought it in for a window tint. Including the windshield. The first time after seeing the tints I let the owner Rick know that there is something in the driver tint and that there were bubbles and scratches in the windshield. Without looking he dismissed the hair stuck in my driver door. After coming back and showing him the damage ... I also let him know that there was negligence with the car of my car being that there are scratches on my gearshift also. When I brought back the car I was pissed. The owner and I had some heated words back and forth and they denied the damage to the car trying to blame it on my ring (I was expecting the denial being a woman and all) however I have pictures from my car when I first got it and those damages were not there. His son had to be the mediator in actual get him to fix the tints. He called the cops on me and treated me like shit because of his ego. I highly recommend not coming here. They are extremely unprofessional I spent $360 for tints and still had to go back due to scratchy film. You will have a 50/50 chance of the work being done correct. read more
