Hands down the best place to get your tints in MoCo! My friend recommended this place and I could not have left more impressed with the service given by the shop. I made an appt on their website to get ceramic tints on my Model Y and right away, their customer service was top notch via email! Mr. Lloyd congratulated me on my new purchase and explained their tint service, quoted me a price. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by Hung at the front desk. He explained the various tint products they had, recommended the tint level according to state law, as well as the process they take to apply the tints. I decided to wait in the shop while my tints got done, roughly 1 hour. The shop had a great atmosphere for its customers such as free Wi-Fi, snack bar, car books/magazines to read, as well as a TV with Netflix. The entire place was so clean and had a nice auto ambiance to it. The workmanship on my tints was amazing. Once it was completed, Hung took me to my car and reviewed the tint work with me. TL;DR at the bottom. Lloyd and his guys at Pristine Auto Spa are total pros. Not just with the quality of work, but from the first interaction with the whole crew, they were professionals. Walking in the door, the staff greets you with respect and courtesy. It is always Mr. ____ or Sir. Unnecessary for me, but you can tell that it is the standard of service they want to provide. I ended up speaking with Lloyd on the phone about the services I was looking to get done and my budget. Lloyd was understanding and flexible with my budget and my timeline as he was able to squeeze me in that week. I ended up dropping off my car the day before and left it overnight for them to work on (since I couldn't get off work and drop it off the next morning). As my car was new, I was a bit worried about leaving it somewhere overnight. The guys there assured me my car would be safe in their garage and once I got to look inside, I felt better. Their work area was clean, and organized, and looked like all the tools they use were the latest for their field of work. The next day, Lloyd was texting me updates on every aspect of how my car was doing and answered any questions I had. I'm actually surprised Lloyd didn't block my number as I kept adding and taking away different projects I wanted them to do on my car, even last-minute additions. Lloyd was completely flexible and his responses were prompt. When my car was finally complete and I went to pick it up, I actually met Lloyd and he told me a bit about the shop. Lloyd is a local guy and the shop opened pretty recently. His partner has been in the business for a long time and has multiple locations across the country so there is actually a lot of experience in the shop. He told me that his passion is cars so he switched his area of work and went into a business where he could work with cars on a daily basis. I could tell from how he spoke about his shop and how the interior was put together, he was fully invested in his passion. Lloyd seems like a very genuine guy and when he told me his philosophy for working with customers to make sure everything is higher than their expectations, I fully believe in what he is saying. It has been 2 weeks since I had my car tinted and PPF at Pristine Auto Spa and everything looks great. The PPF is so well done, you would need to go within 5 inches to notice anything. The tint job was also quality as the back window of Teslas is really hard to do since it is one long piece of tint film. The guys pulled it off flawlessly. Lloyd also texted me the other day just to make sure everything is still going well with the job they did and to let me know that if I had any questions or concerns, I could just directly contact him. Before I stop, I just wanted to add that I actually first went to a well-known and very established tint/car detail business down the street from Pristine, because I had my wife's BMW done there. The service when I first walked into that place was totally opposite from the first time I did business with them. I also never got the quote/estimate they said they would send me. I'm not sure if my old place just didn't have the time or forgot, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth and made me appreciate Pristine's superb customer service. TL;DR: These guys are true professionals and their work is second to none. Lloyd's (owner) philosophy is working with customers to make sure they get the best experience. I went to Pristine this yesterday afternoon for Hung to give me a quote to remove old tint and reinstall lighter tint. Hung gave me excellent information and a quote that was well priced for the work involved. I asked when I could schedule the work to be done and he said, how about now, and we can be done by 5:30. I made a request for estimates for tint removal on a Monday morning. I was almost immediately contacted by Hung. He gave me a quote and stuck to it though it took much longer to complete. Make sure you read this review first before you go to this shop. I went to this shop after checking the prices of two other shops. Their price is relatively cheaper than the more popular shops which are also in Yelp. Their shop at Rockville is clean and professional looking as well as its staff. The lobby has two tables which can seat a couple of customers. WIFI is free. However, I noticed no refreshments is served. Not even a vending machine. No interaction with other staff other than Hung. I would say he's very straight forward. No gimmicks. He will not sell you other products/services other than what was requested. In a way it is good. He does not smile a lot though. Pretty much has a poker all the time I was dealing with him in person. But going to the more important part of this review. Like what I mentioned previously, it's the price that mainly influenced my decision to go to this shop. I got their PPF full frontal and added the four doors. Cost me more than $4K for the install. I would say they did fairly fast job, maybe too fast it cost the quality of work. Checked in my MDX 2023 Tuesday and got it back Friday same week. But my issue with this shop is the quality of work and how Hung always rebutt/disclaim the defects/issues after the PPF install. Right off the bat when I asked him how they handle defects post PPF his answers are like a script - paint jobs from manufacturers are not perfect so any defects like bubbles and lines are attributed to this. It's like he's already informing me that they will not fix anything after the install. After 2 weeks after the install, this is to cure the PPF, I went back so they can post inspect it. Before they wash my vehicle, I pointed to Hung some bubbles I noticed on several spots and he just told me after they washed it his guys will inspect my vehicle and will address what they will see. After waiting for my vehicle for more than 2 hours and see the same bubbles, I still heard the same excuse with the message that they will not address the bubbles because they are factory defects even though I only have 2,400 miles on my vehicle and hardly drives it. There is clause in the pre-agreement that they're supposed to inform me of any other defects that they found before installing the PPF. Did not get a notification about the spots that I am seeing bubbles. I am not really happy and satisfied with this shop paying more than $4K and getting this quality of work. I expect a professional service and a great customer service. I understand most of the reviews here are 5 star and mostly window tinting. Just take this review as grain of salt before going to this shop for PPF. I was planning on going to have the rest of the MDX (rear bumper, trunk and rear fenders) PPF here but will re-think about it knowing I will hear the same excuse for any issues post PPF installation. I was looking to get a ceramic coating on my new car so I called a few places, Pristine Auto Spa being one of them. I left a message and received a call from Hung within 10 minutes. Hung is a consummate professional. He was patient was my Miriam of questions and described everything in detail. Since I had to leave my car overnight, I wanted to see the place before making a final decision. Hung invited me for a tour the next day. Upon my arrival, I was positively surprised. The reception and waiting area is very spacious, the feeling of the place was that of a luxury car dealership. Hung was waiting for me and immediately took me for a tour of the work area. That area was spotless. They have several bays, the latest equipment, and the entire team is very professional and seem to love their job. I decided to bring them my car the next day and leave it overnight. I got the car within 24 hours and it looks perfect. It is too early for me to know how good the ceramic coating is and I will update this review if anything goes wrong. However, as of now, I couldn't be more pleased with the work they have done. Their price was very competitive too. I strongly recommend Pristine Auto Spa to anyone looking to pamper their car or add a PPF or ceramic coating.
