While they made an effort to make this right, they asked me to wait over 2 months for them to right this wrong. Extremely hard pass! If you make the mistake, then correct it immediately. It's been about four months since the install of my equipment. I'm leaving my first review here on the equipment in my office. I have a pair of Sonus Faber bookshelf, speakers, along with a Sonos amp, and an LG gallery 65 inch television along with a Sonos mini sub. I must say I am absolutely blown away by the quality of all of this gear. The picture is phenomenal even in brighdaylight's. The glare is dramatically reduced from other products I've seen in the marketplace. All that being said, the product is only half of what goes into this review, I can scream with absolute joy, and tell you that I was blown away by the workmanship quality and Communication provided by the team at Gramophone. They did an awesome job with both the installation and the follow up. Putting money out for projects like this aren't exactly cheap, but it was worth every single penny. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for indoor or outdoor upgrades to their multimedia experiences. From my first visit to their showroom, I was blown away with the size of the facility. They have individually niched rooms with the most sought after equipment an audiophile could want. My wife and I recently bought an older farmhouse and I visited them for some home automation needs, I quickly discovered they offer that and so much more. The staff is so friendly and they explain things so that we both can understand, the selection is unparalleled and aftercare service has been wonderful. The only real problem with Gramophone is I pass their showroom on my way home from work and I have been spending a bit too much time and money lately! I was searching for new speakers and began online like many folks. I was zeroing in on a particular make and model. I wanted to actually hear it and tried a large retail electronics and appliance chain but could neither converge on a choice or hear the model of interest. The maker's website directed me to Gramaphone in Timonium, MD. They obtained the speaker of interest and I was courteosly met by their expert Joseph Turner. He demonstrated the speaker of interest as well as some comparables and guided me based on the SOUND I wanted as opposed to advertising claims. In addition, he took the time to demonstrate the range of systems and capabilities offered by Gramaphone. I ultimately selected a Bowers & Wilkins speaker system. It was new to me, but a perfect fit for my desired listening. I am convinced that there is no substitute for direct listening and personal expertise, which cannot be obtained online. Gramophone did an outstanding job upgrading my system. It started with John Paranilam, the showroom manager, who patiently listened to my concerns and questions. He provided expert knowledge on what was needed to improve my network and make other enhancements such as a Sonos Connect and new version of the Apple TV. The new equipment was installed yesterday by Jay, Rich and Chase with an assist from the URC rep, Lee. They arrived on time, were very considerate about working in my house by using plastic shoe covers, and cleaned up perfectly at the end. They were all very knowledgeable and did a great job installing the new equipment. They answered all of my questions and explained how everything worked. Some aspects of the installation were complex and they did a thorough job making sure all parts of the system worked properly. Lee contributed some great ideas and knowledge about the URC system. I highly recommend Gramophone. I had them install the original system years ago and they were excellent then, too. You will wind up with a great system that meets your needs. I can't imagine going anywhere else if you want a customized audio-video system. read more

My experience with Gramophone has been 5-Star excellent! I started my research for home theater components by visiting both the Columbia and Timonium Stores. I spoke with Advisors at both locations and decided I was going to be most satisfied working with Gramophone which I understand has 35 plus years of experience in audio and video. Both locations offer really nice showrooms where you can comfortably and patiently audition a vast selection of products with no sales pressure. John Z. is the Advisor I have been working with in the Columbia Store. We started with several sit down meetings to discuss my home theater project so John could understand my preferences in audio and video. He showed me a variety of components that would fit into my budget with no attempt to "up-charge" to more expensive products. Many detailed discussions and demos took place with John before I made any purchases. He was very patient and accommodating as I probably took more time deciding what I wanted to purchase than most of his customers. My install went excellent; the professional crew was very accommodating with my onsite requests and respectful of my property. I continue to work with John on additions to my system. So, we have tried to save money ion the past by having our AV work done by the Geek squad and others......never again. We have used Gramophone several times now. Yes, we paid a bit more for their knowledge, advice and service but it was worth every penny. If we have a problem (which happens with these complicated systems) or a question (lots because we are fairly tech-illiterate) they have responded quickly and completely, giving us the resolution needed every time. Our expert John went above and beyond to help us achieve the set-up we wanted. When we used the other guys we actually had to fight them to get what we needed and, in the end, we never did have a completely functioning system.
