I cracked my iPhone and was unable to use it and couldn't afford to purchase another phone; so I had another iPhone and went to beyond electronics (white marsh location) to get it unlocked and use with my carrier. When I got to the store I was told I couldn't keep my same carrier or phone number. The guy in the store helped me so much and I left there 30 minutes later with a working phone! read more

The services provided were fine, if not a bit over-priced. The attitude of the employee running the register left MUCH to be desired, as he was EXTREMELY condescending, and demeaning. Advice for future reference: Americans aren't as dumb as you like to treat them...and we talk about our experiences. I took my iPhone 5 in for a screen replacement after dropping it. I figured that it could be substantially less expensive than taking it to the Apple store or buying a new phone. It was $120 with a 14 day warranty to have the screen replaced and the Apple store only charges $160 with guarantee for year. It is worth the extra $40-- trust me. I had the replacement done about a month ago and my phone isn't working properly. Of course it isn't covered by them as it has been more than 14 days. Also, I agree with the previous reviewer-- their attitudes weren't very conducive to building a positive customer relationship. They were, indeed, very condescending and treated me like I was an idiot. I wouldn't go there again. Ever. read more

I had my phone repaired by this company, but in their White Marsh location. They wanted 300$ to replace the display and glass on my Galaxy 4 and it might take 3-5 days max. This was cheaper than Radio Shack by about 50 bucks and i would get my phone back 2 days sooner, so i went for it. I left my broken phone there to await parts and i purchased a cheap phone for about 30$ that i could use until mine was fixed. The guy showed me the cheap phone worked in the store but said it needed charged before i can use it. Later that night i concluded this phone can't hold a charge, so i had my GF return it since she works nearby. She returned the cheap phone the next day without an issue but had to pay 10 extra for the next cheapest phone. While there, she bought her brother an additional battery for his phone for about 35 bucks. The battery turned out to be useless and dead but her brother didn't want the bother of returning it so we didn't. Now it's been 5 days and i call the store. They tell me not done yet, oh so sorry. After 7 days i showed up to get my phone on a Friday, and again they are oh so sorry they are waiting on parts. At this point, i was a little upset? concerned? Pick a verb. Regardless i maintained a positive attitude and they did too. They still had my phone and my money so i kept cool. Monday comes and i get no call from Beyond Shady Electronics to pick up my phone. This is now 10 days after the phone was dropped off. After work, my GF showed up to pick the phone regardless of the condition or state of repair. The phone was now fixed but they had not called either number to tell us it was completed, and certainly did not leave a message. The staff told my GF there was 14 day warranty on the repair, any problems bring it back. The phone repair looked flawless. It was clean, i was happy. I put the phone back in it's otter box and moved on. Within 3 days, i dropped my phone. Yeah i dropped it, i dropped it a hundred times before this repair it never cracked (The original repair was because the phone was crushed, not dropped) and it was always kept in a name brand otter box. So i took the phone back to make use of the warranty. The manager never even looked at my phone but told me "physical damage is not covered under the warranty". I was polite and tried to explain that this would not have happened if the repair was to factory spec. They couldn't care less, so i filed a report with the BBB, as many have. The BBB is worthless and won't take action against these shady characters because in their words, the responsibility was mine to get the warranty in writing. So, it's close to the holidays now. I hope this warning finds you before you make the same mistake i did. These guys sold me a crap phone, a crap battery, and a 300 dollar crappy repair all within 10 days. They won't honor the warranty on their shady repairs. They treat you oh so nice until they get your money, then it's oh so sorry. If you complain they treat you with such contempt , and they suddenly become disrespectful all because your not one of them. It's obvious it's family run business or they are racist. They will treat any American who complains with disdain. You need to see things a little slanted to be treated fair here. Spend the extra 50 bucks and take your business to Radio Shack. I had this store repair my cracked screen on my iPhone. They also put on my life proof case for me. I didn't drop my phone and the shabby screen repair cracked. I brought my phone back because this was an issue with the quality if the repair and was rudely told by the owner that I should pay for another repair and he didn't care about a negative review or that I was going to dispute the charge with my bank. Faulty repair shop and terrible customer service. Do not go here! read more

I went here less than a month ago to have my iPhone 5s screen fixed. It cost me close to 120 dollars. I also decided to get a lifeproof case. So here I am approximately 3 weeks later with a cracked screen. I dropped the phone with the case on it and it still cracked. Unfortunately lifeproof can't do anything for the phone itself but they're sending me a new case. This store is ridiculous. Not only did I spend 80 dollars on the case itself but I paid to have my old screen replaced. They have extremely poor customer service and aren't reasonable at all. I'm sorry but if I paid $200 less than a month ago, why would you make me pay over $60 again for something that was out of my control? How do I know it won't happen again? clearly you have faulty products and bad service. I will never go back, they're too overpriced as well. Do not go here. read more

Got my IPhone screen fixed here 2 weeks ago and on the first day images on my phone started getting black streams though it not long after the whole screen turned black. I cant see nothing but I can hear my text messages come through . went back up there to get it fixed and these dickheads going to have the nerve to try and charge me to fix it. I went to the one in White Marsh mall to have my iPhone screen replaced and it was horrible. It was expensive and my screen cracked again less than a week later. I took it back and said that it had been less than a week and my screen cracked and they said it was fine when it left the store so I'd have to pay to have it fixed again. They were incredibly rude and condescending and I would NEVER go back there. In fact I actively tell anyone I know with a cracked screen not to go there. read more

Don't waste your time or money with this company! They're rude and you can't trust their work. The staff is completely disrespectful, and act like they are better than you. They want you to pay before they do the work on your phone which is ridiculous. Fix my phone and show it to me before I pay you. Then, when my phone had problems, they blamed me and said it was my fault. I lost money, my phone doesn't work, and I was disrespected. I should have known better...
