I ordered a treadmill and a recumbent bike from Amazon. I forgot when it arrived that I would have to assemble it, so I thought okay this shouldn't be so tough. I was wrong, when I opened the box and saw all those pieces, I knew immediately I had to hire someone for the job. I got on Yelp and came across John's business. I was a little skeptical at first because it says furniture assembly but I decided to message him anyway. Not only did he answer right away but the price was excellent and he could fit me in the next day!! John arrived promptly and went right to work. It didn't take him long before he had the treadmill put together and was working on the bike. He even opened up the treadmill mat and set everything up nicely. He completed the bike in what seemed like seconds and I tested everything out. John was very professional, on time and he answered all my questions with ease. Everything was well put together and he didn't leave a mess behind. I am throughly impressed. Not only is he skilled in assembly but he's sort of a jack of all trades. I explained to him a situation that I was having with the light in the basement and he knew exactly what to do to remedy it. John is officially my go to guy!! When I called about an appointment John was very friendly and professional. He booked me a same day appointment and was very flexible around my schedule. I was worried that there may be an extra charge since he was based out of MD but he came to VA at no additional cost. He had the best prices around, great customer service, and very professional. He knew what he was doing and explained every step of the process along the way. John handled my electronics with great care and promptly cleaned up behind himself. This is my second time going to John to build furniture for me. Both times I ordered from Wayfair. The first time I broke the box open and carried each individual piece upstairs because the box was so heavy. That was for a dresser. This time I just left the boxes right by the door and John and his team quickly and efficiently brought them to where they needed to be assembled and got right to work. I recently purchased my home and needed some furniture set up, my paintings, wall decorations and a ceiling fan assembled. I contacted Fully Assembled and spoke with John McKay. I told him what I needed done. He scheduled a time he could come out that worked with my schedule. When he arrived he asked where i wanted all of the wall decorations and paintings hung. He had one of his employees start working on that while he followed me to where I needed my television and credenza set up. An amazing fast experience. My 2 year old had thrown a toy into our TV the day before, so after purchasing a new TV we needed same day wall mounting for it to avoid a toddler repeat. After calling Fully Assembled at about 8am in the morning I was able to book a same day appointment even having a really busy schedule that day myself. Cancelled on me twice without giving me prior notice. On both occasions I had to contact him to find out where he was and if he was still coming only to be told he couldn't make it. John came out and did a nice job of putting my furniture together. The problem was the tv's. He didn't bring adequate materials for concealing the wires - neither within the wall or the strip. I wanted within wall hiding of the mounted tv's and he said he'd come back after Christmas to hide them since I'd already paid him the $275 fee for the 2 tv's. He also said he would adjust the tv if I didn't like the height. Needless to say, I still have an incomplete mounting job with tacky cords hanging from the tvs. I called and texted back after Christmas, even spoke to him where he promised to call back that same evening but never did. For $275 (for the tvs, I paid another $145 for the furniture assembly) and only 30 mins of work to mount them, those tvs should be completed and finish. I regret using this service and should have stuck with my prior service, Magic Mount TV, who did an excellent job on my last apartment. For less than what Jon charged, their service includes the tv mounting, a free tilt bracket, 2 wall plates, in-wall cable conceal, HDMI cable, and the guy helped me set up my entertainment system and remotes for no extra charge. John is a nice guy and I wouldn't have had any problem if he had just honored his word. If you do use this service, just make sure the entire job is finished otherwise you will be left hanging. I still have to find another contractor to come hide the wires and the quotes I'm getting are at $100 before someone will even come out. read more
