Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the fella that I spoke to but thank you! Not only did you take the time to talk about my particular paper weight, but you provided this particular televisions history, potential costs for repair for this go around and what I most likely would be looking at in the future of my "money-pit" paper weight. I greatly appreciate your candor! Oh yeah...thanks for the pointer about readjusting the LED settings on new TV's to extend the life of my future purchase.

Eric quoted me a very fair price and had me return the next week when the part was delivered. After opening my laptop he realized the battery was badly puffed up and may have damaged other components. He called me for permission to continue because he was concerned he might not be able to repair the laptop once he started the process. I really appreciated him keeping in touch and getting my okay to proceed. He only gave the operation a 50:50 chance of success, but it was do-or-die so I told him to go for it...and he succeeded! I got my laptop back in tip-top shape and will hopefully be able to use it for several more years. I've already started referring coworkers!

I searched issues and solutions. Despite my backups, reset attempts and iOS trust, my phone went black. Twelve hours later, I could feel all my missed calls vibrating under a black screen. A simple phone fix search led me to a small zoned-for-business house on Second St. in Laurel. Even though they were about to close, they fixed my phone and we chatted at their prompting. I didn't want to part with my greenbacks. But the price was less than the last time I had an issue several years ago. And the service was friendly and extremely competent. So here's hoping I never have to see these phone doctors in lab coats again. But if I do I believe their great bedside manner and efficiency will make me a satisfied outpatient and repeat customer.

There was a consult/diagnosis fee, but they count this towards your final repair cost at the end, so it's free as long as you are getting your item fixed. Gadget Guru was able to fix our drone for less than the cost of having to buy a new one and we are so excited to have it back and running again :) There were unexpected delays in supplies of drone parts which we would have experienced ourselves as well (the times we live in). They reliably called with updates and thanked us for our patience. Great communication regarding what they found to be wrong and what they would be replacing to fix the problem, with time estimates as best they could :) I will definitely be a return customer with any other electronics in need of repair. Friendly, courteous service, with business hours late enough I can still reach them after work when needed. Completely recommend the Columbia Gadget Gurus :)
