I went in for a cracked screen and my bill ended up being $253 plus the phone stopped working a month later. Skip this store. Their business plan is to get you in and string you along for more charges. Go somewhere else. He told me 15 minutes. I gave him 30. Came back and my phone was still open. He told me my battery was swelled so he couldn't close it. I've never had issues with the battery, but fine. Told me the screen and the battery were same as Apple provides. I would not have compatible issues on my iPhoneXS. I ended up paying for the screen, being up-sold on the battery, and found that my phone complained about both parts. After battery install the phone would never give me any data on the health of the battery. The screen also never worked as good as the original. The sensitivity on the lower part of the screen was very off and the battery life was no better than my old battery. A month or two later my phone stopped working. I took it in, he said he remembered me, and he told me there would be a $45 diagnostic fee. He said my phone is probably broke because I am using the wrong power supply. I told him I'm using the power supply I always use. I told him I connect the phone to my computer using the cable Apple gave me. He told me that wasn't good. Before even looking at my phone he is setting himself up to not be at fault... ...next he points to an incerptable white line on the corner of the screen (which has been there for a while) and tells me this is why the phone is not working. The screen, the battery, and the charge port are all tied together. I must have dropped it or hit it against a key in my pocket. I told him the screen was working fine this morning. It is not charging and the battery compartment was getting warm when I plugged it in. He then tells me he can open it up to look, but he is then going to have to charge me $90 to replace the charge port. He is 100% certain that he can't tell a thing until he charges me $45 + $90, and will then replace parts as needed. I told him I was fine if he just opened it up for $45 to have a look for anything obvious, but it is clear he either did not want to get into it to check over his work, or he was going to just set me up for more charges. Will never come to this place again. I have been to other phone repair shops that do it quickly, don't upsell you, and stand behind their work. My impression is the business plan here is to string you along for as much as they can get out of you. read more

I went to the Apple Store to get my iPhoneX and my iPad (3rd Generation) fixed. The iPhone needed a battery and the iPad's home button was not working correctly. Apple wanted me to get a new iPad because they wouldn't fix mine, and the iPhone battery was too high for me. I came to iFixandRepair a few days later and Babu fixed both items! I don't have to get a new iPad right now (I probably will in the next few years, but not NOW), and it works very well. My iPhone is working great with the new battery he put in, and I came home with a cost to repair both lower than it would have cost to just replace the battery. Everything looked fine so I payed anyway, and then come to find out a couple days later the Bluetooth on my phone has completely stopped working. I came in on 9/25/23 to get my iPhone 12 Pro Max screen replaced. I had spent time at the Apple Store inquiring as to get my screen replaced and Apple was going to charge me close to $400. So, I went into iFixandRepair, as I had bought cases from them and knew they fixed phones. The gentleman working (I didn't get his name, but he was a very friendly guy) gave me a reasonable quote (under $200) and said he could have it done within 15-ish minutes. Well, I have seen the reviews on Yelp, so I was skeptical...however, my screen was replaced and it is working perfectly fine...looks the way it did when it was brand new. I cannot speak to the experiences of others, only my own, but I had a wonderful experience. I received top-notch service, fair prices, and friendliness. The gentleman took the time to answer my questions, and more importantly...I saved money! Yes, you're not getting a "genuine Apple part"...but, these screens are really all the same. It's working fine! If that changes, I will update my post. However, I can only praise this store for really coming to my rescue. I came here to avoid the $350+ charge at Apple to replace the screen on my Xs Max. I was charged about $160 here but let me tell you it was a shit job! After my screen was replaced I ran into a lot of issues with my phone such as not being able to use all the letters on my keyboard, my phone randomly shutting off on its own, aaaand to top it off at some point I had to get it reset at the Apple store which cost me about $45. A few months after having the screen replaced it got a crack across the screen. The crack happened out of the blue, not sure what caused it but I know it was not because I accidentally dropped it or hurt it. It was because of how cheap their screen is. Then, I found another repair spot to get my screen fixed AGAIN. They charged me $140 and did an amazing job! I could tell from the way the colors looked, the way the screen looked, and how the new screen felt on the sides of the phone (hope that makes since). This new tech guy confirmed all my suspicions about iFixandRepair. He told me the type of screen used at iFixandRepair should not have been used on my phone model and that it could cause all kinds of issues. Which it had! went in to get my back glass of my phone replaced. he said it would take an hour, came back after an hour, he said another 15 minutes. came back again after 15 minutes and waited almost another 45 minutes. I wouldn't have cared if he had just given me a two hour time frame window from the start. once I got home, I noticed a small black pixelated dot on my front screen that was never there. I assumed it was from the pressure he placed on the phone to fix the back glass. the black not has now gotten larger. the worst of all, my camera is also blurry at the top. this is really devastating to me because what I use my phone for most is to take pictures. I wish I would have just dealt with the cracked back glass rather than take it here to end up with more issues. read more

Had a cracked screen and got my phone repaired here. Was told they would try a new screen after driving back to Annapolis that evening. Phone worked for about a day and took my phone back a week later because the top corner of the screen continued to get darker and darker. The first screen did not have this issue. When I came back I was told in his past experience it is due to the pins in the phone and not an issue of the screen. The technician Fariz (Frank) Tagiyev told me this even though the intake form states that they cannot identify issues until they are inside of the phone. Was also told that a small scratch would void the 6 month warranty if I were to bring it back again. Considering I was getting a technical issue fixed, the technician was going against the warranty stated on the receipt. I asked Fariz Tagiyev to inspect the phone after the repair and I was told that he cannot and to bring it back if the screen has any further issues. Technician Fariz Tagiyev was also unable to explain why the replacement screens are ultra sensitive and putting them in your pocket causes multiple touches locking me out of my phone. At this point of the third store visit, I was frustrated with Fariz admittedly. I asked if he was the owner and he said he was the "owner, manager, technician, it's all the same to you." He then said I was acting like a kid, which I somewhat agree with but then he ignored me multiple times of saying excuse me and then proceeded to pick up the phone after and say he was on the phone. I said I would wait and if I wanted to speak to anyone higher up than him then I was directed to send an email to their store. One star due to the fact their repairs cause further issues, attempting to blame issues on other things after they accept to repair the phone (was told to sign a customer intake form before anything was inspected), and rude customer service when they are challenged on the stores integrity. They claim to be under new management but as of 8-18-2017, it still seems they are putting low quality screens to repair (was told it was a replacement apple screen after fix 1, but was told they are not apple screens fix 2). Frank was very pleasant when I first visited the store with a cracked screen but it seems that if your phone doesn't work then they push you out because they already have your money. For an extra $75, use your phone's insurance if you have it. It's worth the hassle of re downloading applications and importing contacts rather than the nuisance caused by this business even if it is under new management. read more

Took the phone back and explained what I was experiencing only to find out I had to pay an additional $150. Mark was very rude, unprofessional and unsympathetic. He claimed the LCD was cracked which caused the the screen to black out. Took the phone to Apple and a technician confirmed that is not possible. The phone still charges and rings incoming calls. Please see attached picture. There is no physical damage to the screen that would cause the LCD to blackout. But due to improper installation and faulty products. Mark at the Annapolis location refuses to refund but instead wants more money to fix an issue that was caused by iFixandRepair. I repeat DO NOT use this company unless you want to loose money. I took my iPhone 7 to iFixandRepair in the Annapolis Mall to have a crack screen repaired. They repaired the screen. After I left the store, I realized that the speaker was no longer working, so when I received a call, I needed to use headphones to hear the person calling. I also noticed that the touch screen capabilities were not working correctly. I immediately called the store and they said they would need to order a part to fix the phone and it would take 3-5 business days for the part to come. 8 business days later, I called and they still did not have the part. I asked for a refund, since the repair was not done correctly, and they said no and hung up the phone. Price was about 130 so not cheap but there is the speed and convenience factor. I ran the numbers and cheaper to do a screen repair occasionally than spend insurance on four phones. The store was supposed to replace my cracked ipad screen but when i went to pick up the ipad, it no longer worked. The store told me to take it to apple and they would fix it -- wrong! Apple said it was not fixable. The store then said that they could fix it and sent it to their corporate offices -- two weeks later, i called them and they said that the ipad was fixed. Wrong again! I stopped back today almost one month later and not only was the ipad not fixed but there were wires hanging out of it. The store would not reimburse me to replace the ipad with apple. I have filed a report with the Anne Arundel County Police for distribution of property and will be seeing this joke of a repair shop in court. read more

I brought an iPad in with a broken screen and was told it would take 1 hour (ended up taking 2.5 hrs) to fix with a cost of $200 which seemed steep! The quotes I had gotten from other places were around $80/$90 but I needed the iPad back as quickly as possible and was told that the materials they use are much better than any another place which is why they have a 6 month warranty. I unfortunately fell for this and 3 days after the replacement, had to come back in because the LCD light had vertical and horizontal lines underneath the glass. I assumed that this would be covered under warranty but was told that "because every iPad is slightly bent after normal use, it runs the risk of having this problem with the LCD lights when the screen is replaced." I was also told that they would fix it if I paid them an additional $80 for labor!! $280 for a crappy job that may still have problems ?! That risk should have been discussed when I first came in and I would have walked an additional 30 feet and just bought a new iPad at the Apple store at that point. There was no getting my money back so I kept the damaged iPad with the lines. One of the technicians was very apologetic when I came back the second time, however, I'm still giving this place one star because of the overall scam with the rates and crappy service/product. read more

I had my iPhone screen replaced her a few months ago. When I picked it up it seemed fine but something felt off. I realized later that the screens profile stuck out more than the original. It was annoying at first but so is a broken screen so I dealt with it. Days later I noticed flexing in the screen when pressure is applied to certain areas of the screen. Currently I have a corner that is loose enough that I can lift the corner by simply picking with my finger nail. I didn't realize until after that apple now does repairs. I'd recommend going straight to Apple for a better finished product. read more

After tracking down a regional manager for ifix they refunded me $150, which means I only paid out of pocket the price of my original repair (this is all I was asking). Although the whole experience was annoying, thank you for doing the right thing. I brought my phone in with a cracked screen and left almost 2 hours later with a cracked screen that wouldn't even turn on. Their solution....send the phone out for 7 days or take your phone (that is in worse condition than when you walked in) to the Apple Store and get it fixed. I came in to have my iPhone6 screen repaired. They didn't have the white colored screen like my original so they put on a black screen instead and told me that I could come back when they had white in stock. The fingerprint recognition stopped working when he put the new screen on which is why I wanted to come back and have it replaced. Two weeks later I return and they put on the white screen. The fingerprint recognition started working again. But now the screen would sometimes freeze completely and none of the buttons worked. Before I left the store I pointed this out to the manager, Sergio, and he pretended like he didn't see the issue. My phone returned to normal once the phone locked on it's own. He refused to fix it. I left the store because I thought maybe it was a one time thing, hoping it wouldn't happen again and because he was so sure that the screen was not frozen. Anyone with eyes could see that it was frozen... My screen started to freeze up again within the same night. I came back in the store the next day and the same manager was there. He called me a liar, and he and female employee both yelled at me and said that this issue had nothing to do with the screen and that he wouldn't honor the warranty. My phone had not had this issue until he put this last screen on. Don't go to this store they are so unprofessional and now my phone is broken for real thanks to their repair. Then, the screen went totally dark. I brought it back, they took it apart and told me they had no record of me shopping there. So, if I could wait 10 days, and pay another $100, they would try to fix it. I said "No". So they gave it back, MISSING THE TWO TINY SCREWS THAT HOLD THE SCREEN IN PLACE. I went to another more reputable repair facility, and they said "Additional internal screws or parts were MISSING" So I went to Apple and they actually offer a pretty good deal on a new phone with bona fide, Apple components and no BS aftermarket garbage. I took my phone in for phone screen repair. They seem to have done a great job, however not even a week later the screen was cracking without being dropped or mishandled. I took phone back to store. There is a warranty for free repairs if not physically damaged or water damaged. Neither of which was done. I went to iFixandRepair with my broken iPhone. The screen no longer worked, it was just a jumble of lines, and the battery had been dying for some time, only holding a charge for a couple hours. I had first gone to the Apple store (at a different mall) and was told that they could replace the screen and battery, but that this required me to turn off my FindMyiPhone (difficult to do if the screen is broken, he did it somehow by taking out my SIM card), and that the iPhone would be wiped completely back to it's factory settings. Unhappy, assuming that this is just the way it is and I have to accept it, I left it with the genius bar, and came back two hours later. Turns out they didn't touch the phone at all, said it had water damage, and offered to sell me a new phone. Instead, I went to iFixandRepair. The gentleman at the desk immediately diagnosed the problem. Apparently the batteries in my particular model had a tendency to expand, which eventually breaks the screen from the inside. When he pulled the battery out, I could actually feel the bulge. He replaced the battery and the screen, and returned the phone in perfect condition, without having to wipe the phone memory. And he showed me the white spot inside, which showed that there was no water damage. All inside half an hour. And all for less than the Apple store would have charged. When I turned the phone back on, it said it couldn't find a network. Turns out the Apple employee didn't put the SIM card back in correctly. The iFixandRepair guy quickly fixed it. (this was a month ago, and the phone is still working great) Long story short - I will trust the Annapolis mall iFixandRepair with any phone repair needs. They will be my first place to visit, definitely before the Apple store. read more

I'm not very happy with the outcome of my phone repair. They quoted me $149 but eventually offered a $10 discount. My bill ended up still being $149 for some taxes that were not indicated on the receipt. Very Shady! Plus it took much longer than he said it would... and there were literally no customers in the store for the 2hours that I waited for my phone. Lastly, the color of my screen has a greenish hue. Great experience. I'd dropped my iPhone in the ocean. I took it to the Apple store and after about 2 hours they diagnosed it was unfixable and I could never recover the pictures or contacts on the device. They told me the corrosion in the wire plug precluded putting in a plug. I took the phone 100' away, to iFixandRepair. The fellow there took a pair of tweesers to clear the plug connection and in about 30 seconds I was plugged in and consequently able to save the info to my new phone.
