I still got home and was unable to charge my iPad Pro with my existing blocks, but using one of the same cables it seems to charge when connected to my MacBook. He calls me and lets me know he's en route to my location and would call me upon arrival, which he surely did. He came upstairs to my office, fixed my screen, provided me with another screen protector at a relatively minimal cost and he even helped me and my crazed self become untangled from my necklace and headphones (don't ask!).
