Locksmith was good. However... I was not happy about the fees. I sent a request asking for a hotel and they insisted on coming out. No mention of the $25service fee. I believe they could have given me a price based on the pictures I sent. If I wasn't so lazy I could've done the same thing the locksmith did, watch YouTube to Confirm how to reset. We somehow managed to lock ourselves out of our master bathroom. We have an exterior mounted lock and could not figure out how to get it open. We called these guys and they were able to come out same day! Alex was super helpful and got the door open and all of two minutes. We then had him look at our front door lock which was also giving us trouble. That was a little bit trickier but he managed to fix it! He provided us with lots of detail as to how the lock mechanism worked, took pictures and explained a lot of why the problem was there in the first place. Thanks to Alex for coming out so quickly and taking care of my problem. I couldn't get my door open as one of the lock bolts wouldn't disengage. He was able to replace the broken part quickly. He also fixed an issue with my deadbolt (which he didn't charge extra for and that was truly appreciated). If I could rate this company with zero stars, I would. This company fails in terms of customer service, honesty, and overall competence. Over the phone I requested a quote and scheduled for someone to come between 8 and 9. He didn't even bother to call until 9:50 and showed up 15 minutes later. If you're not going to keep an appointment don't bother making them at all! Furthermore, I was told there would be a $25 service call charge and would be charged $35 per lock for 3 doors, 6 locks total. I specifically asked about the cost of installing a deadbolt in a door that currently didn't have one and was given the same price. When I did the math I came up with $235, but imagine my dismay when I see the invoice for a whopping $330. They decided it would be good business to surprise me with a $95 charge for installing a new deadbolt. That was never mentioned in the quote process despite the fact that I specifically asked twice. Unfortunately I wasn't there to dispute the charge in person and got stuck with the bill. Lastly, this company took no initiative to educate me as the consumer about rekeying store bought locks. I could not for the life of me figure out why all my keys worked on all of the locks even though they were purchased individually. A competent locksmith would have informed the consumer about rekeying locks instead of leaving them and their belongings in compromised security especially when they are asked about the keys being the same twice throughout the process. I can't believe a company like this is still in business. read more
