We were told by a mechanic that our key was causing our car to start (basically the chip in the key failed), and to have the key reprogrammed by a locksmith. After having a really bad experience with another mobile locksmith (to the point we didn't even allow him to look at the car), I called MD 24/7 and Eli sent Byron right over (meaning in less than an half hour). Byron is what customer service dreams are made of. He was friendly and patient with a lock novice like me. He took the time to explain how my key worked and how it works with the cars security system. Eventually (after a couple to calls to confirm his suspicions), he told me that it actually is not the key that is causing the problem, but maybe the electrical system of the car. He then patiently explained it again to my SO (because, honestly, I could not grasp it enough to explain to someone else). After all the time he spent diagnosing that that key is not the issue (which you know, the average person would have made the key, charged us, and left before us figuring out it has nothing to do with the key), he didn't charge us, since we didn't really use his services! My door shut on me one morning, and I ended up being locked out. I called these guys and was given a price of $49 on the phone for lock out service. After an hour someone showed up, now the price was $219 cash upfront. With my wallet being locked inside, wasn't able to pay that, and wanted to use a credit card, so this increased the price again. The "Locksmith" just took a pry bar to to my door, and then hammered a screw driver into the frame until it broke and the door opened. Then the guy gave me the excuse of "Ohh, I though this was a metal door and frame, but we are not responsible for any damage" I mean you couldn't tell when you heard the wood splitting? Now because they have an lazy incompetent person working for them, I have to buy a new door, frame, and lockets. He could have just drilled out the cylinder, would have taken the same amount of time, and I would have need to buy $30 piece, now I'm out $1,300. Doesn't call, wait awhile...try to call him, can't get him. Call office to complain. 2 hours later tech calls me back with an attitude because I reported him to office supervisor. I had one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had with any business with them. I lost the key to my U-Haul truck on a Saturday afternoon before I was to move.I called MD 24/7 and was quickly put through to Eli who told me I could be at my location in half an hour. He also suggested I get the key code from U-Haul so that I'd save money on his work. I asked if I could put him off for awhile until I got the code from U-Haul and also save an appointment time for Sunday morning in case I couldn't get in touch with U-Haul quickly. We called this company and were quoted a price of $29 for the service call and $59 for the actual work of drilling a lock in a storage facility. When the locksmith arrives, he said it was a "high security lock" and that the drilling fee would be $169 in addition to the $29 for the service call. He "reduced" it is $131 for cash payment. He insisted that the price quoted on the telephone was "the beginning price." We had to pay it as it was late on a Saturday and we needed to get going, but we really feel cheated. THE ACTUAL SERVICE TOOK HIM THREE MINUTES FOR WHICH HE CHARGED THE RIDICULOUS $131 FEE. I have the receipt, but there is no address, telephone number or email on it. Absolutely horrible service. I had a broken key in my 1994 Volvo and I contacted them to extract my key. They sent one person to get the key out of my car and not only was he not able to get it out but he still charged me 75 dollars. I called them back and was told that they would send a new guy out to get the key out at 10 am. I waited for 4 hours and had to call over 5 times in order to get the " professional" out to fix the problem. The "professional" Eli then broke my ignition cylinder getting the key out. I was then charged another 140 dollars and the man never gave me a receipt. I called to try and get him to come back out and fix the new problem the he created and he insulted me saying that he "didn't like dealing with people my age because we don't understand anything". I have spoken to 5 different people including Aviv, Ori, Eli, Roy, and Amy. Amy was extremely rude and confrontational and would not let me speak to a manager. I have called back now over 10 times about getting a refund now and I keep getting told I will be called back. Now I have to take these " professionals" to court to get my refund. Lost my car keys out in canton square after a very long night of drinking (do not play beer pong with your car keys!). Had to call a mobile service, this guy showed up exactly after 20 min (thank god). Huge van full of hi tech gear and a very funny guy named Eli was all it took to make a new key and program it to match my car computer (turns out it has a chip in it). Sadly it coat $180 but I can vouch that some of my friends told me they had paid over $300 for their cars. My is a Honda if that helps. read more

ok, I will start by stating we are stupid! we did a stupid thing and lost the keys to a very expensive rental car. now to be honest, that happens a lot but the price on these car keys can go way over when the rental company quotes it. they said it is $750 to get one key made through their mobile service at the car rental (fobex or fobix was the type of key they used). my lovely lady called around while we were in our hotel until we got a quote for about $250-$400, this locksmith eli shows up with a mobile locksmith shop (full gear, computers and all), 30min later I got new keys and he said that if we leave a good review on yelp or FB we can get another $40 off. we promised we did (this guy lowered the price to $260 from $300 trusting us on our word, old school to the core!). so ELI here is to your awesome work (keys worked and we didn't need to pay $750) and to show you trust and good customer service goes a long way! to conclude, we are still stupid for losing those keys but not $750 stupid. we are from Denver originally and this was our first visit to DC / Baltimore so that did leave us with a good memory to share. read more

My daughter had locked herself out of her house at night with no shoes or coat when the door slammed behind her. We called 24/7 for a quote. We were told it was $19 for the service call and then the average front door unlock was $35. Knowing locksmiths normally charge more than the quote we expected around a $100 would be the actual charge. When the man arrived, he told her this was not a standard lock and he would need to charge her an additional $189. When asked what a standard lock was she was told a bedroom lock. Well she was not locked out of her bedroom. Being it was late at night in a new city that she had just moved to she felt she had no choice. Less than 1 minute later, she was in the house. We called to complain and request a partial refund and we were told that they do not do refunds. They were under the impression that the driver replaced her door knob but even after explaining it was not replaced, they still would do nothing. We were then told if she didn't want into her house and thought the fee was to high, she could have paid him the $19 and called someone else .I am not sure how she could do that since she is locked out and her purse is in the house. They eventually hung up on me.This place is a rip off. They lure you in while you are in a bad situation and tell you their costs are reasonable and then jack that up once they arrive. The associates are rude and will talk to you after trying to bully you in to dropping your complaint. I was told by his parent company 24/7 quick locksmith services that I could get my money back if I stopped bothering them. I was then told that I would have to take my online review of them down and sign a paper to get my money back. Overall these people have taken my money, broken my car, insulted me, blown me off, lied to me, and now they are trying everything in their power to prevent me from getting my money back.
