The handleset and lock on our back door was misaligned, sticking, and not holding very well. I had a replacement and needed professional installation. I found ACL on Yelp and was amazed at their 5-star rating with 40 reviews. When I called on Friday, Rose listened and said that we needed a more experienced locksmith. Because ACL was very busy, she could not schedule anything right away and suggested another locksmith. However, since my need was not urgent, I was willing to wait. Chris contacted me the next day and in a little over an hour installed the new handleset and lock. The previous reviews were spot on and I am pleased to add my own 5-star review. I appreciated that Rose really listened to my need and offered honest feedback, even if it was to recommend someone else for quicker service. I was heading out of the country in a week and my security cameras weren't working (ugh!). ACL was swamped with business and couldn't make a service call, but offered to trouble shoot my issue over the phone (as a courtesy) - who does that? Initially, it seemed like it would be a quick fix, but the call lasted 40 minutes! (Chris multi-tasked -- talking to me while organizing another project he was working on). Unfortunately, things got a bit too detailed for solving over the phone, but from a sheer generosity to help-give-me-peace-of-mind-while-away, he offered to swing by after finishing his project the next day (this would be Friday night). A lock on ur backdoor broke and the deadbolt that was on it was rare and a replacement could not be found in the big Home Improvement stores . I called ACL was directed to Chris and he called me within the half hour . He came out later that afternoon ready to replace said lock and he saw that it was rare we discussed a few options and he asked me to give him a day to hopefully solve the issue, the nest day he called me said he " could order a lock , and asked he he should " , I said " go ahead " ... it came earlier than expected , he picked up the lock from UPS and asked if we were available , I sad YES ... this was 6pm on a Friday night , we couldn't have been happier , and he went above an beyond what I think any other business would do ! This is a long overdue review for a company and people that deserve more than 5 stars. I had cameras (2 doorbell cameras and 1 fixed camera) installed at my home about a year ago. Chris and Rose came out to do the install and did a wonderful job. They hid the wires well and made sure everything was in good working order prior to leaving. (They even stopped work to help look for the cat that we thought escaped while the door was open.) They answered all the questions I had after installation and helped to resolve issues with video quality and connectivity. About 4 months after installation one of the doorbell cameras malfunctioned and caught fire. I emailed Chris and Rose about what happened. They came that same evening to help secure the door since the fire department ripped out the door frame to stop by fire. They didn't stop there. Chris and Rose figured out what happened and went back to the manufacturer. They were able to get the manufacturer to exchange the doorbell cameras for an updated version. When they came back to replace the doorbell cameras they found replacing the one that malfunctioned would no longer be the best option because of the addition of a storm door. Chris and Rose suggested a fixed camera instead. Chris came back a 3rd time to install the fixed camera. There was no hesitation or complaints from them about having to come out a 3rd time. It's now about 8 months later and things are working well. I know if I ever had additional questions or issues, Chris and Rose wouldn't hesitate to address them. read more

Chris and Rose are seriously awesome. We just moved to the area and needed our locks changed in our new home. We asked for quotes from a handful of places but Rose was the only one to respond immediately and chat over Yelp. Extremely late at night as well! That alone impressed us but their rates also seemed to be the best. Chris came by today to install a Nest smart lock and rekey the rest of the doors and he did a phenomenal job. Gave New Meaning To Customer Service! Today I had five locks in our new home "keyed alike" so we only carry one key instead of three. When I contacted ACL Locksmiths, they were very professional and set an appointment that met my schedule, not theirs. prior to the scheduled time, I received an email advising me the tech was on his way and his name, description and type of vehicle he was driving. He introduced himself and went right to work. He tested everything before leaving and carefully explained if there was any problem, just call and he would return immediately. Great service. Quick. Polite. Effective. My home system was driving us crazy with a fault and beeped nonstop. After unsuccessfully attempting to permanently clear the faults myself, I finally swallowed my pride and called someone. First, I called the company that installed it (prior owner's choice). They ignored and forgot about me. Then, I tried Home Advisor (little more than worthless, in my opinion). Company never responded. Then simply Google'd my need and this company came up. Chris and Rose were our saviors on this Covid-19 evening! My partner and I drove two blocks to the church field nearby to walk our dogs at 12A.M. / Midnight - unfortunately we also locked both of our keys in my SUV. Thankfully we were down the street from our house to put our dogs away before giving them a call. I was very happy with the customer service and work provided by ACL. I had an emergency situation where someone in my family was sick and was in the ER and I needed someone to open my lock in my house so that we could get in when we came back from the hospital. Chris and Rose were very understanding and they went above and beyond to help me get in my house. They had to put a brand new door lock in my house since the old lock had to be removed/replaced completely. They explained to me and walked through the warranty and the process on how to change/program the keys if I needed to do such in the future.
