Rather, Perry readily identified what would likely make sense for my home, asked incisive and poignant questions about my home security needs, and carefully listened to and thoughtfully answered all my questions. He then diligently followed up with a recommended package for my home. Perry's attention to detail, follow-up communications, and responsiveness was impeccable. And I was all the more impressed given the fact that N & D is a small team that essentially operates as a family-owned business. Installation: The installation could not have been more seamless. John, Darren, and David arrived promptly. They installed the security system and had me up and running in little to no time. I was thoroughly impressed by the service--the N & D team went above and beyond anything I could have expected. For example, in addition to setting up my home security system, Darren helped set up our doorbell camera and even attempted to help install smart locks throughout my home. Upon the immediate completion of the installation, John carefully explained how the system operates, patiently answered all my questions, and even gave me his personal number in the event I had any additional questions. After Installation: After completing the installation, Perry checked in again to ensure that all our needs were handled and that our system was up and running. In addition, the N & D team was incredibly diligent in completing additional follow up work I had requested. In sum, if you are looking for a top-notch home security system, N & D is a no brainer. I hired Monica in December 2024 to install: 28 security cameras A sound intercom system with 18 speakers 5 access control pads integrated with the fire alarm system As for the security cameras, she agreed to install 28 after reviewing my architectural plans but only installed 16--and did so carelessly. Wires were left hanging, ceiling tiles were damaged with large holes, and I was never given access to the security system, while she retained full access and was apparently monitoring the premises without authorization. The cameras themselves were cheap, low-quality models from Amazon (under $50 each)--completely unsuitable for a commercial setting, despite charging me for a professional setup. I paid her the full contract amount for this portion, and she has yet to complete the job or give me access to recorded footage. Despite paying her half of the contract amount upfront, she never delivered or installed a single access control pad. Even worse, she had no clue how to connect them to the fire alarm system--something that should have been fundamental to her scope of work. I had to bring in my fire alarm vendor and general contractor to explain to her how to do her own job. Still, nothing got done. Regarding the sound intercom system, she was supposed to install 18 ceiling-mounted speakers. Instead, she purchased cheap desktop speakers (less than $30 each) from Amazon, dumped them on the floor, and suggested installing wall shelves to mount them near the ceiling--completely unprofessional and unusable for a public facility. Meanwhile, she continued demanding more money and delayed my entire project by over five months--from December 2024 to May 2025--causing serious disruption and financial loss. To make matters worse, she repeatedly entered the property without my knowledge or permission, even after I explicitly told her not to. She frequently asked the building's front desk for access, showing a complete lack of respect for boundaries and professionalism. Monica Escala has shown a complete lack of expertise, ethics, and professionalism. She overpromises, underdelivers, delays critical projects, uses substandard materials, and ignores basic contractual obligations. In my experience, this was nothing short of a scam.

I scheduled for the 2-4pm time frame for someone to come and give me a free estimate, and two guys showed up at 1:53pm. I was surprised, because I was told I would get a text, but I didn't. It didn't work in their system for some reason, I saw him try in front of me. But it was a pleasant surprise, I was available! Their names were Elmer and Kingston. They assessed the door, told me what they would have to do to fix it, gave me the honest price point, and asked me whether I wanted to hold off or have it done immediately. I decide to just get it done, and so I asked them to hold on for me to secure my cats so they wouldn't run outside. They literally had to take the door off of the hinges! They used that time to go grab tools and a patiently waited for me to let them know when my cats were secured. The job didn't take that long, I didn't actually time it.... Maybe about 40 minutes? They were efficient and really did their thing. So now, my door is fixed and I'm ready to go on vacation. They aren't the closest geographically, but they do serve the entire area. Would recommend if your door is having issues!

About a year ago my wife asked me to look into a home security system for our home. I did a lot of research on the "big" companies and read a lot of user reviews. I even had one of my friends that worked for one of the "big" security companies come over and give me "friendly" estimate. Even with his discounts, the costs and fees were ridiculous. I decided I wanted a more personal touch in my system so I started looking at other less know companies. I called a few other security businesses and always got the feeling they wanted to sell me the "one size fits all" system. But then I decided to give Jeremy and the great people at 1st Security a shot. Like many others, Jeremy had a "blue light special" package but he wasn't trying to steer me to it unless it met the needs of my home. Every question and concern I had about my home security Jeremy quickly and thoroughly addressed and answered. Eventually he designed a system that was right for my application and worked the numbers to a more then reasonable price. Even though I live hundreds of miles from their office they treated me like I was right next door. Within a week of ordering my system from them all the components arrived at my home. I setup a call with Larry to walk me through the install and in no time everything was up and operational. Now, I'm pretty technically competent and didn't require very much direction to install the sensors or control panel but Larry was very knowledgeable and helpful with my install. Fast-forward to today, a little over a year later and I can tell you from experience that anytime I have had an issue with any sensor or question about my service, both Jeremy and Larry are quick to respond and very helpful. They stand behind their product and treat the customer with great care. In todays "cyber-shopping" world it would be easy and to some extent understandable for a company that is physically 6 states away from me with a multitude of customers to treat me like a number but not 1st Security. I called them just the other day about a malfunctioning sensor in my house and without pause, Jeremy remembered me by name. It's refreshing to know there are still companies out there that care about the customer as much as the product. read more

Jeremy came out to my house to explain 1st Security's system (co-branded system with alarm.com), and gave me an amazingly good deal with the best pricing possible. The thing that amazed me was that 1st Security's pricing (both upfront equipment cost and the monthly monitoring charge, with full access to smart phone system) was LESS than the do-it-yourself options like FrontPoint. Yes--it was less than FrontPoint, even though 1st Security's pricing includes FULL installation by a professional (Larry, who was amazing--spent hours at my house making sure everything was right and teaching my husband and me how to use the system). Even more amazingly, 1st Security's monthly rate (again, less than FrontPoint) includes service, meaning that there is NO house-call charge, the way there was with my previous alarm company. If anything breaks, etc., they will come out and fix/replace it! Jeremy and Larry were both awesome--helpful, courteous, professional, prompt, etc. I highly HIGHLY recommend them and 1st Security. If you're thinking of going with a DIY alarm company to save money, don't bother--call 1st Security. They will also match other companies' prices! read more

I've had our system replaced by 1st Security and felt like a kid in a candy store. I couldn't get off the web creating logins and accounts for different visitors to our household. I particularly love the responsiveness of Larry, who was very friendly, communicative and alert to our needs. Larry came out to our home to do an initial assessment and in two days had returned to install out system. it's chic and beautiful to look at. Our old system was clunky and unattractive. We also did not get the remote access though we should have. Love the fact that I can stay in my bedroom and arm and disarm the system. We're looking at expanding to add the doorbell camera which will allow us to talk with visitors even when we're not home! Larry has called us at least two times within the two weeks our system was set up to check on different things and even to ensure that we submitted our registration. Great follow-through, excellent service. I'm only recommending this to others going forward. read more

I recently decided to add video cameras to my existing home security system. My monitoring vendor provided me with an expensive and complicated solution to this request so I shopped around for other options. I ultimately selected 1st Security to install Alarm.com's smart home security system for quite a few reasons. First off, the president of the company, Jeremy, came to my house the same day I requested information about their services and diligently followed up with me on a regular basis as I explored my options. Second, I was concerned migrating systems would be a hassle but it was completely seamless due to the knowledgeable technicians at 1st Security. And third, the cost was better than the competition. To top it off, the system is super easy to use, the migration was seamless and installation was top notch... very clean. There was no pressure or overselling. I felt confident the alarm I was purchasing would more than meet my families needs. Two days later, Larry came to install my service. He was just a pure joy to work with. He made sure we understood how to work the alarm and the phone app. He tested everything before he left. I love my new alarm. It is technologically advanced, but easy to use. I feel so much safer knowing my home is protected by 1st Security USA. I love it so much I referred my mother. The representative was very informative on my initial call to the company. He outlined every option and explained the full range of services. He asked questions and was able to suggest the service best for my situation. He explained all options very well as I have never had a home security before and was not aware of all options. Once I signed up for their service the equipment was shipped overnight and the alarm installed the very next day. The installation was complete in an hour and a half, which included the training on the system. The installer was on time, knowledgeable, and professional. I was very impressed with the information I received on the first call and several follow up calls through the installation process. I asked many questions and did much research. 1st Security is definitely the BEST! Unfortunately,I left a pot cooking on my stove and left my house. Within 5 minutes 1st Security called me to let me know my house was filled with smoke and that the fire department was on the way. Luckily, I was only 5 minutes away and got home in time to stop any damage from the smoke and the already present Fire Department. I had Guardian Protection for over 20 years in Maryland and Pennsylvania and they never called me in a similar situation. If it had not been for 1ST Security I would have lost everything. Have worked with Jeremy and Larry at 1st Security for a few months now and they're great. They're far more responsive than any other alarm company I've worked with and they're focused on meeting your needs, versus endlessly trying to get you to buy more services and sensors that you might not need. In the house I just bought some other alarm company had installed a window open/close sensor on a window that doesn't open - probably fooling the prior senior citizen owners to pay more for more equipment they didn't need. I rest assured that 1st Security would never do something so foolish and greedy. They're good, honest people, and this is something that's unfortunately hard to find in the alarm business. Love my new alarm system! Larry at 1st security is awesome! Being a first time homeowner, I was really anxious about securing my home. Larry eased the worry by throughly explaining everything he installed and how to use it. A week later my HVAC stopped working. I called Larry to make sure it wasn't the new thermostat he installed. He answered my call even on a Sunday and came out to check. The problem didn't have anything to do with the thermostat so I called a technician. Larry called a few days later to follow up. Staff is friendly, courteous, and professional. I had two other alarm companies I was considering and both have called and bothered me non-stop but 1st Security emailed me first, made sure it was okay to call, and then called me. Jeremy was wonderful to talk with and walked me through everything and the breakdown and then when Larry called to setup everything and walk me through testing everything he had the same level of professionalism. We used them based on the reviews on Yelp. We've had their system for a couple of weeks now and couldn't be happier. They were very quick to get us in, both for the estimate and for the install, and they were very patient with my overly friendly toddler! They did a great job of determining what we would need, made sure that we knew what was available, made suggestions based on our needs, and didn't try to oversell. We ended up selecting a system that was pretty new to Saberin (LittleBird) but they did a fantastic job, kept us informed, and had the best pricing of the firms we talked to. I know a thing or two about low-voltage wiring and was impressed by the quality of the workmanship. Everything is working well and I would highly recommend them for any sort of access control or security system. They delivered what we needed and didn't try to upsell us on anything we didn't. They were also patient as we worked through a two month long procurement process and asked for multiple options and quotes. After the work was done, we had a locksmith out to remove our old keyed locks and he asked who installed the system. When I said it was Saberin he told me, "You made a good choice." They obviously have a reputation for quality work.

The first thing of note was how good Patrick's quote was when he sent it to me. His pricing was fair, and his detail and thorough approach to making a proposal were top notch. Everything was in it...including diagrams and photos. He does a complete breakdown of labor and hardware costs so you can tell what you are getting for your money. If, like me, you are providing the cameras or NVR, he helps you understand where your part ends and his begins. He also was very quick to get back to me and keep in contact as I was making my decision between him an other vendors. In the end, obviously I went with Patrick...and his price was not the lowest in fact. His professionalism was what tilted me in his direction. We made a few adjustments to the proposal so by the time he came in, there were almost no details left to work out. That is always a good sign. I'm very glad I made that decision. Hey and Indy did a great job taking care of our home as they worked. The camera's went up and they look as they they were originally a part of the house design. The doorbell also looks original. I would absolutely work with Patrick again and most likely I will.
