When I cancelled with a form that I have to fill out, there was no acknowledgement. They still debited my bank account. They argued that there was a 3 days cancellation policy; this 3 months after my 3 year contract has ended. I have to yell for them to promise a refund for only 1 month. I am holding my breath. If this goes on, I will take them to court.

If, like me, you are providing the cameras or NVR, he helps you understand where your part ends and his begins. He also was very quick to get back to me and keep in contact as I was making my decision between him an other vendors. In the end, obviously I went with Patrick...and his price was not the lowest in fact. His professionalism was what tilted me in his direction. We made a few adjustments to the proposal so by the time he came in, there were almost no details left to work out. That is always a good sign. I'm very glad I made that decision. Hey and Indy did a great job taking care of our home as they worked. The camera's went up and they look as they they were originally a part of the house design. The doorbell also looks original. Every wire is hidden and every drilled hole is filled as to not allow small insects to come in. Upon purchasing our home, ASMD preyed on my wife's fears of not knowing the area yet and repeatedly contacted her to discuss a 'continuation' of service (framing it as a requirement for the home). The representative used lots of predatory and vague promises about maintaining her safety while really just trying to get her to sign a poorly worded contract. After settling into our home, we found that the neighborhood was safe and the need for an alarm system minimal. At no time over the past 6 months have we even activated the alarm, in large part because we have very attentive and supportive neighbors. My wife decided that it wasn't necessary to have an alarm service and called to cancel for any future months. At no point did the representative indicate any fees or penalties, just thanked her for the call and indicated that they were always available in the future. In less than a month, my wife received a bill in the mail as if she was paying in advance for 4 years of service (something she never agreed to over the phone nor in writing). Note that at no time throughout this process did I ever sign anything nor did this security company contact me, despite having my name and number. When my wife called the company representative back about the fraudulent bill, they gave no rationale nor explanation, just indicated that the bill was due in full by the next month. They offered to throw in a 'free' assessment of our smoke detectors, indicating that we didn't have them (we have 6). No negotiation, no willingness to meet partway, and no real explanation as to why they would charge someone for 4 years of an alarm service they weren't receiving. The fact that this company still has any customers at this point is shocking to me. If you are in the area and seek safety and security, or some peace of mind, avoid this company entirely. They will provide neither care nor concern for your well-being.
