It's been awhile since we've been there. Our food was okay, but we probably won't go back.

I just moved right next to Worth Takeaway and was really craving breakfast food and remembered that they had brunch on the weekends so I walked over to eat instead over ordering from somewhere else on postmates like I usually do. I had the croque madame and it was AMAZING! And a big portion so I was able to take half home and munch on it later. The people working up front were chatting with me after I was checking out and were super nice! I'm definitely coming back and telling everyone I know that this place is awesome! read more

I was over at Oro brewery next door. So I actually never went into the store. They deliver and bring it right over here to the brewery, which is nice of them. Saw the high reviews of this place and I knew about it before I went to the brewery. Was looking forward to tasting this place. I ordered the roast beef sandwich. Took a little bit of waiting, but it came. Super delicious! Juicy, fresh roast beef done just right. Combined with the horseradish crema, provolone, greens all squished in between a cold cut ciabatta. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Just a good mixture of flavor, nothing overpowering, but a burst of everything in your mouth when you bite into it. Not sure if I was starving that night, or was it that good? I Devourer the entire sandwich without hesitation. Price $9.75. definitely on the more expensive side, but you get the fresh meat and ingredients. Definitely quality at this place for the price. Would like to come back and try all their other sandwiches. This one is the list for a second look. Come try it. read more

Stopped here for a quick dinner before a concert at the Mesa Arts Center and it was busy for a Sunday night. We took that as a good sign! The little mostly sandwiches shop was festive and the staff was friendly. The prices were a bit high for not having a side but since we were in a hurry, we stayed. I had the grilled cheese (which actually came with a little yummy tomato soup to dip!) and a small order of crispy fries. My sandwich was very cheesy and perfectly grilled. My husband had the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and although it seems small, it ended up being plenty of food! He likes the flavor a lot and said the blue cheese crumbles on top were a nice touch. I will be back again to support this local business and try one of their yummy cocktails! read more

Every single time I come here I'm impressed with their customer service. A few times they've remembered my name and order, it's the little things sometimes. Now on to the food.. The Beef dip sandwich is one of the best I've ever had, they cook it from scratch and the flavor is incredible. The French fries are the best in Mesa, the seasoning they use is delicious. I've also tried their salads which are huge and filling. A local favorite for a reason, you will want to either call your order in ahead, or avoid traditionally busy times as they are usually packed! Enjoy! read more

We were having a few brewjas at oro brewery and our tummies started grumblin! The bartender gave us a Worth menu which perked up our drunk asses. Its pretty cool, you can sit at the bar, and worth will deliver your sandwhich next door. They were pretty quick, maybe 10 min and my buffalo chicken sandwhich was in front of me with some chips. The sandwhich was on point! Thats all I can say it was one of the best ive had. Whenever im in the area i def try to stop by. They are not too high priced and worth it! read more

We ordered our sandwiches To Go, so we could take them around the corner to Cider Corps. The wait was not bad, even with four people ahead of us. When we got to Cider Corps, we unwrapped our sandwiches and they looked perfect. My crispy chicken sandwich was still nice and crispy. I really appreciated how crunchy and meaty the chicken was, plus the flavors from the sauce and pickles were just the right balance. The apple cider vinaigrette on the side salad was lovely. The only thing we didn't love was the Cuban. Actually, to be more specific, it was the mustard because everything else was perfect. Personally, I can't handle horseradish, but the menu labels this as "dijonnaise." This burns like horseradish. Anyway, my partner said that the only thing he'd change was to have less dijonnaise and for it to be more evenly spread out. Consider asking for it on the side, if you're wary. Overall, great experience. We are absolutely stopping by again to try more sandwiches the next time we're on this side of town. read more

Found this place on Yelp. Great crispy chicken sandwich! Small butclean and airy. Will be back again!

My favorite restaurant in all of Phoenix. Been twice in person. Ordered delivery 20+ times. I've worked my way through a lot of the menu. Favorites are the Italian grinder, chicken sandwich, seasonal hash bowl. Also great breakfast burritos on the weekends. Love their cold brew as well. Their fries are SO GOOD. I prefer them without seasoning and love that I am able to order them that way. What I really love most is how creative this place is! They are always experimenting with new weekly specials and desserts. Love the Monday suppers. Love their Instagram account that shows pictures of the specials menu items. I could go on and on haha My only recommendation would be that they update the specials on UberEats each week more consistently. Sometimes they appear there, but sometimes not. read more

Well first we totally do karate in the garage because we became best friends over the On Draft Sun Up root beer. Everyone here is really friendly and all the food we've had has been delicious I'm a particular fan of the specials, the carrot cake was to die for. Wow! Absolutely amazing, we came here last week after visiting the taproom near by and were happily surprised with how good the food was. We made friends with the guy helping us and talked about tattooed and such, we came a little late so they were closing soon but they accommodated us which we appreciated. Our wait was about 10 minutes, which wasn't too bad. We loved the modern decorations, appreciated the gender neutral restrooms, and were very happy with our orders. I don't recall what my husband got because I was so into my grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese had multiple different cheeses, with perfectly toasted bread. The tomato soup was the best I've ever had, couple tell it was made in house. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and cared for. One of those places that you know the food is worth the price and wait. Would highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

Just an update - I was there 5 minutes before closing to buy a gift card. The cashier was sooooo kind in getting that set up for me right before closing. Also, my husband asked if they were still serving food (now 3 minutes before closing) and she said yes. He didn't end up ordering anything as he felt bad since we were the only ones there but the fact they were willing to with a smile is such a huge bonus to me. read more

The name of this place, its location, and the way it is designed all clearly define who they are and what they do. It's a tiny walkup counter right on Main Street in a busy metro downtown district a few steps from the busy light rail destination station. They have a handful of tables indoors and a few more on the sidewalk and parking for a few cars. It defies logic why some reviewers (especially the out-of-townies) expected it to be a fancy sit-down restaurant with white linen table cloths and a maître d′. People, this is a primarily a sandwich shop. Its primary mission is to sell sandwiches to locals on their lunch break for them to "take it away". BTW, it's not ONLY sandwiches, they also have salads, soups and some limited entrée courses. So disregard the bogus complaints that someone got slow table service for a party of ten, or that the "ambience" didn't look like a themed chain restaurant, or that there aren't enough tables. Let's talk reality instead. I've had this place on my radar for a long time but I don't work on Main Street. I had some business to do in the area and took the opportunity to make this my first visit. It was high noon on a busy holiday weekend Friday afternoon, every table was full and there was a line waiting to order. Service: warm, friendly, caring, generous, passionate ... these are the first words that come to mind. The people who work here are genuinely nice. They have a walkup cooler filled with cold bottled water. It's free, you don't even have to buy anything, you don't even have to be a customer! We weren't that hungry and chose to split a Calabrian turkey sandwich, so Worth didn't make much on us yet they gave us a huge bag of free homemade potato chips so we could "try them". By the way, the chips are awesome, you'll never want a salty Lay's again after trying these. Value: The price of the sandwich, in fact all of their diverse but limited selection of sandwiches, is pretty much spot on considering the downtown location. No one who wrote a negative review because they felt the sandwiches are too expensive offered an alternative where they could get a sandwich of this quality for under ten bucks - have they been to places like "Jersey Mikes" lately and got charged up to twenty bucks for one sandwich? Quality: And how was the sandwich you may ask. Well, it was pretty good but I was expecting great. It was bland and dry and lacked any standout kick or zest. True that turkey sandwiches are not in the same league as Cubans or Pastrami's for knockout flavor but still. To be fair, the bread was fresh, the turkey was plentiful (and not Oscar Meyer lunch meat) but it all came to a screeching halt there, to my taste buds all I could taste was turkey and bread. My experience with Calabrian chilies is for them to be spicy, a bit salty, smoky and even fruity. I could taste none of that in my sandwich. They deserve another try from me because I like this place. It's funky and urban without being pretentious or cloying. They are trying to be community caring and supportive of local vendors which makes me want to support them and see them succeed against the fast food chains that some would compare them to. It's important to me that the staff really makes me feel like they care I'm there, and topping the list for me is they are local, independent and not a chain. That earns 5-stars even if my sandwich missed the mark. read more

Great sandwich shop in up and coming Downtown Mesa. Try it! You won't be disappointed.

Hip with a down-to-earth rustic feel that parallels there concept of featuring local quality ingredients. I went in with a mission to try the banana pudding and left happy with my container. Don't get me wrong, the pudding was delicious - smooth, lots of banana and wafers, specs of real vanilla bean, and not overly sweet - however, was it worth $5? I'm not sure. The portion size is on the smaller side but if you are willing to pay for quailty, I definitely recommend at least giving it a try. read more

Me and my boyfriend came to eat brunch today and wow!! Service and food are both amazing! I felt bad cause I was a little picky with my avocado toast (I'm so sorry I know it was annoying) since I have had some really rancid avocado toasts but I LOVE avocado toast when it's made good and this place is just that! I wanted toppings on the side just incase and it's safe to say that next time i will be just getting everything on it! My boyfriend had one of the breakfast burritos and he really enjoyed it. The ambiance almost feels like you're in a Flagstaff cafe. It's cute, clean, modern, and just good vibes inside and out. We will definitely be back again soon! read more

I luckily got street parking in front of the restaurant. The ambiance was great; people could work here and have a quick bite here too! The restaurant and bathroom were clean. It was a nice day out so they had the windows and patio open. Even though I came near opening time, they were already busy. The cashier kindly told me my estimated wait time though; which I appreciated! I overheard the employees saying they have an app(?) and people ordering over the phone. My sister recommended me the Cuban with fries. The fries were great! It tasted like cajun fries from Five guys. The sandwich was filling. The meats included were a great pair with the pickle too! I think I would ask for it in a wrap next time though. I would also want to try their buffalo chicken next time. read more

Had lunch at Worth Takeaway yesterday. A bit disappointed overall. I arrived at noon on a Wednesday and there was one other person eating. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and a soft drink, which came to $12.70. They should understand that $12 is too much for a sandwich. Worth had a nice street side Cafe set up, in addition to the few tables inside. My lunch arrived in 14 minutes. Again, a big number for a lunch, especially when no one else is being served. The sandwich looked promising, with thinly sliced veggies and a Bleu Cheese spread. The ciabatta bread looked good too. One bite changed all that: most of my fillings flew out the other side. The bread had a tough exterior and the slippery fillings didn't have a chance to hold. The breading on the chicken also slid off, making a huge mess. Even the chicken slid out. Taste was okay, but way too heavy on veggies (sliced carrots and cabbage). Not sure if a return visit is in the plan. read more

Worth Takeaway - The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Not recommended. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

I was quite unimpressed by this shop. I know it does get a lot of love on Yelp, but my experience doesn't match others. I got the Rueben sandwich and my boyfriend got the crispy chicken we also got the banana pudding (which was TINY - but I will address this later). We walked in and it was decently busy for a Sunday afternoon. You order at the counter and there is a menu that hangs above. While we were in line I was looking at the menu board and nothing was listed other than the name of the sandwich. When I order I like to know exactly what I'm going to get. Once we finally got to the front there are little menus that list the ingredients under the names. However, the second we got to the front they wanted to take my order giving me no time to process and read about any other sandwiches I would have been interested in. This isn't a huge deal breaker but it would be nice to have it listed on the large menu above the counter too. We sat inside initially at two window seats. There were a ton of flys all along the window sill so we opted to sit outside instead. Once we got our food we saw the sandos were big - which of course we liked. The Rueben didn't have quite enough meat for the bread and the meat it did have was very fatty. Now, I know Rueben's are fatty by nature but this was just too much. The flavors were great and I loved the bread! But overall the lack of meat made it lack substance. We found similar to be true for the crispy chicken sandwich. Great flavor but needed far more chicken to balance out the bread to meat ratio. I did like they they spaced out our sandwiches from the banana pudding so it wasn't just sitting there getting warm while we were eating sandos. The man brought them out while we were finishing up. The banana pudding was $5 for a very small portion. Seems like it's more than a dollar per bite. And while it tasted great was not worth nearly $5 in my opinion. read more

A standout. Excellent food, hip yet quiet atmosphere. Staff was cordial, efficient and attentive. Can't ask for more.

I've been here three or four times and the food is always excellent even though the last couple times have had troublewith my order coming out on time. I get the crispy chicken sandwich with the honey sriracha and pickled onions. Always a great sandwich and the owner is always there and is very attentive and working hard to keep his business running smoothly. They have many other items on their menu that look delicious. The best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Wait that doesn't really capture how good it is. A THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I'VE EVER HAD!!! Seriously, the best. The chicken itself is well cooked. Not rubbery, not too thin. Prefect. The bun is awesome. Crunchy but not tough. Then there's the sweet sriracha sauce. It's the perfect sauce for the sandwich, and when it mixes with the aioli it creates this amazing savory sweet spicy thing...... The lady had the Cuban sandwich and it was the best Cuban I've ever had also. You can tell the chef (with food that good he's a chef) actuality cares about what he's putting out. Being nearby and searching for a quick lunch place, yelpers directed me here. And they were right about this little place. It is small and it is busy, and it is worth the wait! The food is delicious. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and the sauces and flavoring made me eat waayyy more than I normally would have. The ciabatta made this sandwich just perfect. I did have a little lunch envy as one of my dinner mates had the grilled cheese which comes with fresh tomato soup. She could not finish it, but said it was delicious. Portion sizes are pretty good. Sometimes for a great dish, you don't need to have a fancy sauce or exotic ingredients. Sometimes all you need are fresh, quality ingredients prepared well, and that is exactly what this place offers. A lot of critics and "foodies" will overlook this place because it does not offer any cutting edge cuisine. However, they will be missing out because this place serves up flavorful fare at a reasonable price. Also, the owner or manager of this establishment takes great pride in his work because I saw him doing it all. Running the register, busing tables, etc. He even came back to ask how the food was, which is highly unusual for a place where you order at the register. In addition, this place is located on Main Street nestled among several antique and second-hand stores.
