Came here for lunch with my boyfriend! I was super excited to try this place. He got the Cubano which I loved I didn't like my breaded chicken sandwich as much. We did enjoy the Mac and cheese and bread pudding!

It's the only place to stop if you want a legit sandwich when in Mesa. Fast turnaround. Always fresh bread, great ingredients and attention to detail. Inside or outside the place is just cool to be around and makes you feel at ease. They have great monthly specials, once I had the Cuban which was wooooooooo manufique! The fried chicken sandwich is the go to. The Italian is sweet. Also bonus: the chips are homemade and really good. I stop by EVERY time I'm in town. Also, get the iced tea. Have fun and thank me later! :)

Came in this morning for breakfast to check the place out for first time. I liked the decor of the restaurant. It gave me a clean farmhouse feel. Very comfortable and clean. I ordered the Cali Breakfast Burrito. In the menu it said it was $15.00. When the cashier rang it up it came up as $16.95? Ummmm okay! I decided to not say anything and just hope for a big old burrito to enjoy. Unfortunately that's not what I received. It was in the slim side for sure and had more fries than meat inside. I was hoping for a little more steak. I did however rather enjoy the green tomatillo salsa that was served with it. It was only enough for half of the burrito. So my overall "take away" for what it's "worth" is it was 3 stars good not 5 stars great. But I can check it off my list of places I wanted to try.

Worth Takeaway? Worth it! Been coming to this spot for more than six years now. I'm surprised I have written about this place before. I'm a huge fan of their hot honey chicken sandwiches but recently, I had their weekly special of a steak and bleu cheese sandwich and whoa. It was a great sandwich. I had it with fries and had their Jim Bob's Grandma's Cookie (oatmeal, butterscotch, chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans) afterwards for dessert. It was a great meal after having since ciders. It's a believe DT Mesa gem and for good reason. The staff has always been friendly and the vibes are great clean gender neutral bathrooms, fun chocolates and books to purchase, and a great meal awaits. It's a cozy spot so don't come with a large party.

I'm always intimidated by downtown Mesa parking but I saw a crunch wrap on Worth Takeaway's menu and had to have it. I ordered online and was able to find parking quickly! Worth Takeaway has a nice patio out front and even around 130ish there were 4 or 5 people eating out there. My order was ready quickly and packaged very nicely! I chose fries as my side and noticed the online ordering offered a fries without seasoning option which I'm sure is appreciated by some. The crunch wrap was delicious! It came with a side of "hot sauce" but I preferred a hotter one I have at home. And the fries were great -- very fresh and definitely "homemade". They even packed a little to go cup of ketchup which was very thoughtful. I also got a cup of tomato soup and this was excellent. Clearly made in house and had good substance to it. I'll definitely be back!

I have been to worth takeaway, but it's been years since. I don't really go to downtown Mesa that often because it's not very close to me, but I was in the area and needed a quick snack, so I decided just to get one of their cookies in the display case. I got the cranberry white chocolate chip cookie, and it took me by surprise because it was one of three best cookies I have ever had. Everything about it was perfect, the texture, and depth of flavor, the flaky salt on top. It makes me want to go back again just so I can try their other cookies, but also to try their other menu items as well!

UHHHHHMAZING! Service is so friendly and attentive. I was checked on multiple times throughout my time there. Food was bomb. Got a hot honey chicken sandwich with fries. So delicious. Sangria was perfect. The place is clean and the modern. I like it. Thank you so much!

Great sandwiches, great service, and the perfect way to soak in the downtown Mesa views on a Saturday afternoon.

A special: Crunch Wrap Supreme

Worth Takeaway has been on my list for over a year and this weekend we were in Mesa and finally had the opportunity to stop by. What a great sandwich spot. Within 30 seconds of being there, I knew it was going to be a great spot. The service was 10 out of 10 from the moment we stepped in the door. Incredibly friendly staff, made genuine recommendations and were super accommodating. We were with our toddler so we decided to sit on the patio. The staff made sure we were super comfortable out there with umbrellas, cold water, and misters. I had the special which was their take on a crunch wrap, supreme, and my husband had the candied bacon BLT. Both sandwiches were so delicious. It's hard to describe how good the candied bacon was in the BLT, and the crunch wrap was so much better than the real thing. We both got french fries, which were well seasoned and served piping hot. One of my favorite parts of the meal was the seasonal lemonade: pineapple mango. I had a hard time not drinking it all in one go. We will be back soon. I didn't get the chance to try cookie and those looked fantastic. Plus all the other sandwich options! Thanks for a great experience Worth Takeaway!

Last review was 8yrs. ago, so here's a quick update. Nothing has changed! Still high quality, everything. A great French Dip for me and a chicken hash something for my wife. Last words...yes please.

Honestly love this spot! You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches but this time I tried them out for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Owner and staff are super sweet!

This is hands-down my favorite spot for brunch and lunch in downtown Mesa! The dog-friendly patio is such a beautiful place to relax, and I love how the windows open up from the inside to let the fresh air flow throughout the restaurant. They have a great selection of beer, wine, and some truly incredible coffee concoctions. Every single dish I've tried here has been beyond good -- it's all genuinely AMAZING. I also love that they rotate in seasonal menu items that are always creative, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The staff is always so sweet, welcoming, and attentive. When I order takeout, it's always ready within five minutes -- super quick and convenient. I haven't tried the cookies yet (even though they look incredible), but trust me: do not miss the banana pie dessert. The housemade vanilla bean frosting is out of this world! If you're in the area, make sure to stop by -- you won't be disappointed!

The restaurant and outdoor entertainment complex is huge and has a really fun, energetic vibe. According to the bartender, they have ping-pong, pickleball, and a big upstairs outdoor patio with amazing views of Tempe and the surrounding area. There's also a large parking lot, lots of outdoor seating, and even a dog park area, which makes it really easy to spend time here. The bartenders and wait staff were very friendly. Azbel was a great server. I had the bistro steak and fries and the Szechuan lettuce wraps, and both were really good. Portions were generous. During late-night happy hour my total was about $55 for a main entrée, an appetizer, a cocktail, and tip, which felt like a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised that happy hour runs every day Monday through Sunday from 3-6 PM and again from 8 PM to close. I also checked out the event venue on site, and it looks like it would be a great place for a company party, corporate event, or group gathering. I'll definitely be returning in the near future.

The Service was "electric" for us as we were celebrating a birthday at the table during lunch. It was too Hot for us to do pickleball, but they do have a fully shaded area that had people playing outside ~105 degrees. As for the food, we had the Fish & Chips with a Mahi Mahi Slaw & Fries, the Ahi Poke Tacos which come in Wonton shells. Hot Honey and Sausage Pizza was great. The Barbacoa Nachos had all the right ingredients & the Double Smash Burger had only some "fancy sauce" on the plate. The Tempura Green Bean, can't remember who ordered, but were good with the chipotle ranch sauce. With me, I'm all about the cocktails, so I treated myself to both the Froze Margarita & the Chi Chi. They call them spiked slushes, I call them "heaven sent" during the Arizona Summer. All of the food was a hit for the table and my family understood why I suggested EP for lunch! I said our Server was "electric" and that's because they made our experience very enjoyable. It was appreciated and I will return again for lunch and pickleball (in the evenings) during the hot summer!

Our server was friendly and did a great job explaining the menu and making suggestions. We ended up splitting a few dishes- the burrata appetizer, octopus picatta piccante, scallop spaghetti, and roasted airline chicken breast with risotto. I'm a huge pancake person, so I was excited to try the strawberry pancakes, but they were honestly disappointing. They were soggy, lacked any fluff, and had more of a cornbread texture than a pancake. The strawberry topping also wasn't very appetizing--it seemed like it was meant to be more of a sauce, but it didn't quite work. I completely understand that higher-end restaurants like to get creative with their dishes, but I think some basics like pancakes should still be done really well. The woman was shaking her head and saying to the waitress "this isn't okay to be doing while people are eating", pointing toward our kids. Still, I've passed this place on the freeway so many times and always wondered about it, so it felt special to finally check it off the list. We arrived about 10 minutes late, and I'll say the host that greeted us was a bit rude. We waited a few minutes before he took us back to our table. I will say there's an odd smell when you first walked in and I'm grateful that we sat outside. Once we sat down though, our waitress was attentive the entire night. We started with the charcuterie board, which honestly felt a little basic to me. The smoked Gouda was fine, but I would've preferred something sharper like an aged Gouda, and a more thoughtfully curated spread overall. The meats were okay, nothing that really stood out. On the drinks side, I tried two. The berry limeade was absolutely delicious, highly recommend that one! The traditional margarita though? Not it. Way too sweet for my taste. I don't think most Americans really know what a true margarita is supposed to be. I was hoping for something less sweet and more authentic. It is what it is, I drank it anyway (more because of the price than anything). But the entrées? Spot on. My girlfriend got the Miso Glazed Sea Bass served over potato purée with asparagus and a citrus beurre blanc. She said it was delicious. I had the Seasonal Ravioli with grana padano, white truffle oil, and added wild mushrooms on top. Incredible flavor, did not disappoint. I will say though, the ravioli plating wasn't all that appetizing. The sauce color came off bland and boring, and a little garnish like some micro greens on top could've gone a long way to elevate it. For a place like this (and the price), I expect the plating to be just as on point as the flavor. I'd say the same for the table setting, lighting and cleanliness of the table, I'd really rate that C level. Our waitress surprised us with complimentary champagne for the birthday, which was such a sweet touch. No clue what it was, but it was so good she ordered a second glass. They also brought us a small dessert that said Happy 40th Birthday for my girlfriend, which was really thoughtful. And the sunset? That part was genuinely beautiful. We got some great photos. All in all, a decent experience overall. It's pricey, and not somewhere I'd rush back to, but for a special occasion every now and then? Worth it to my GF and that's all that matters at the end of the day because it was her birthday celebration.
