Cute little place, seating is a little difficult if coming with a larger party, unless it's nice outside. Staff is very friendly, great service. The food was good, more on the expensive side, I got the crispy chicken sandwich and it had great flavor but my piece of chicken was very thin and kind of small, ate a lot of bread with no chicken, didn't leave there super full for $11. But great taste overall. read more

Saw all the good reviews had to check it out and got the crispy chicken sandwich and it was awesome. Great Bread, chicken, and sauce.

Amazing sandwiches, awesome vibe, super amazing employees, definitely would recommend to anybody!

I visited with my husband, and cousin. I had the crispy chicken, hubs had the buffalo chicken, and my cousin had the bahn mi everything was phenomenal. However, the star of this review is their banana pudding. It's like the Keanu Reeves of banana puddings, breath taking. Within the first bite I felt an other worldly peace inside the marrow of my bones. I wanted to shrink down and take a nap inside the fluffy cakey bits, and swim in a pool of the cream. I haven't been the same since, and honestly I'm not at all mad about it. read more

This was incredible food. I wouldn't recommend getting the fries because they are too ordinary compared to the rest of the menu.

Worth was recommend by a friend and it did not disappoint. I got the Italian grinder and I'm dying to go back. The service was awesome and the food was even better. If you're in the valley head to Worth. You won't be disappointed read more

What a fabulous sandwich place! The menu is very very creative! We stopped in here to take a look at the menu. We decided it sounded perfect and we would stop back at the end of the day to bring sandwiches to our hotel. On our way back we stopped into the Oro Brewery (next door) to have a beer. What a surprise to see the Worth Takeaway menu on the table. What a perfect situation! We ordered the Veggie and the Chicken salad sandwiches and they were both unbelievably delicious! We still can't decide which we enjoyed more! The combination of ingredients on these sandwiches can't be described! Pickled apple slaw, roasted tomatoes, spiced walnuts-to name a few! The bread is AMAZING! I am not sure where they get their bread supply or if it is made in house, but never ever change that! We had a bag of the homemade sea salt potato chips. They were excellent excellent excellent! Sliced super thin and crispy! What a find! read more

Recently came here to grab a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. I had the roast beef sandwich, my husband had the buffalo chicken and we split some chips. The flavor was great and I loved the pickled onions and carrots. The server was helpful and informative and I thought that it was awesome that their water bottles are free. My only gripe is that it's far too small to sit in and relax if it's even a tiny bit busy. However, the food really was great so we'll definitely be returning. read more

I enjoy sandwiches but do not feel like you get your moneys worth here which is a little ironic considering the name

Small clean simple sandwich shop. Breakfast is great. Pastrami Croque Madam is excellent.

Worth is the best every.single.time! They're great people, and beyond that make consistently amazing food! It's not a huge place, but for a quick meal you can't go wrong with these guys. The buffalo chicken sandwich is awesome! read more

Absolutely amazing!!! I had the Cuban and my husband had the Reuben. Bother were incredible. We were going to share the banana pudding, but we had to get a second one because half wasn't enough. Makes me wish I lived in Mesa! We will make the trip again just to come here! read more

I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich at Worth Takeaway and it was excellent! The store made potato chips were also amazing. Go to Worth if you are anywhere in the area of greater Phoenix. This place is worth it! read more

This really is one of the best places I've ever been to in the Phoenix area. That chicken sandwich is to die for and the service is amazing. I've been here multiple times but today I came with my dog. Two members of the staff at different times came out to offer me a bowl of water for my dog. So friendly and the food once again is to die for. If you have not eaten here it is time that you come, stop what you're doing and come right now. Unless it is a Sunday - make sure to check the hours because I always want this for supper and they close early on Sundays - that is my only critique. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go when I'm in Mesa! The food is always very fresh and they have good veggie options. If you're after good coffee with your breakfast, this is the place to go as they serve Provision, which is one of the best in the area. read more

Great little place with amazing food, cool atmosphere and incredible service. We will definitely be back.

I came here with my coworkers. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it's great. The beer they have here is also good.

A truly wonderful sandwich experience. I especially love the surprise of their rotating menu. It keeps me coming back every week. I grab their weekly special and one of their trusty regular menu items and enjoy the culinary journey Worth Takeaway offers. Everything they make is seemingly hand crafted and sourced from high quality suppliers. If you want to eat at a place where people care about the food they are offering Worth delivers all the time. Only knock on this place is that they don't have a location closer to where I live (West Chandler, South West Tempe). C'mon! read more

The day I find out this place goes out of business and I have to savor my last crispy chicken sandwich in memory will be the day I have nothing more to live for. read more

The chicken sandwich is just as good as everyone says. I could eat it every day. While they have a relatively small menu, they do a great job of featuring new stuff all the time. Mesa should be proud to have this place. read more

Great food and all fresh. Love that they use local products! They also had great customer service. The only complaint would be it was $40 for lunch for 2 people. This is really pricey for sandwiches. read more

OMG. The best. Food was delicious. Service couldn't be better. Locally-sourced, made-in-house dream. The gentleman who helped us order was patient and super happy to make recommendations and even went so far as to tell me which ingredients I might be sad about if I removed (I'm sorry, mayo and I aren't friends.) We had spicy pork (yum) and the crispy chicken (double, triple yum) and did I mention the chips are made in house fresh daily? Oh I did? Cool. Now you know to get them. Also, they have local lime and root beer soda that were noms. Go. You won't be sad. The only lie I was told was that they were opening one in NYC in October, and it was only because I asked if they were coming to NYC and he said no, and I was sad and told him to lie to me. A+ See you in October. read more

Amazing sandwiches, great staff, great ice tea, awesome home made chips. Highly recommend although go after 1:30 and save yourself the long line. read more

Checked Yelp in Mesa and this place had great reviews. I ordered by phone the Cuban Sandwich with their homemade chips which was ready when I arrived ten minutes later. Service was top notch and packaging first class with handled paper bags and monogrammed labels. The sandwich looked fantastic, maybe a bit smaller than expected for the price but heck, homemade chips came with it. I couldn't wait to try the chips and while homemade they were so salty they were inedible, sad because they looked so good. The sandwich was on a nice toasted hoagie roll and stuffed with nice ham, cheese, pulled pork and sweet dill pickles. First bite was good yet the pulled pork was a salt bomb. I like salt but this was overload. I could only get though 1/2 sandwich and a few chips before I had to quit due to the salt. I will give this place another shot when I am in Mesa as everything else including other reviews make me want to try again. Hopefully it was just a cooks bad day with the salt shaker. read more

I was in the area and saw Worth Takeaway on yelp looking for good lunch places in the area. Read the reviews and looked at the menu and decided to try it out. My boyfriend and I both got the crispy chicken sandwich that was recommended to us by I think the owner. It was absolutely delicious but it gets better. I ask for a side of ranch and buffalo sauce for my fries because that's my favorite combo and I was blown away by the buffalo sauce. It had the perfect flavor and amount of spice that won't have your mouth on fire. I could eat that buffalo sauce with anything! Cannot wait to go back but sucks it's a 30 minute drive for me. Bring Worth Takeaway to the Scottsdale area!!! read more

So good. So happy a place of this quality is in downtown Mesa. We live in Mesa and places like Worth make me proud to be here. Hopefully more great restaurants and shops like this will follow. Not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for here. We had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was superb. It reminded me (in regards to quality of ingredients) of Pane Bianco. If you like good, quality ingredients you will like Worth. read more

So delicious! The crispy chicken sandwhich is the best sandwich - so savory! I'm also obessed with their banana bread pudding. Staff is always curious when busy and they go out of their way to make sure you are happy with your order. Love supporting small local businesses. read more

Yum. We met family members here and it was amazing. It's a small place to sit and enjoy your lunch. We even tried dessert and it was delicious. read more

This sandwich shop is legit! The crispy chicken sandwich is the bomb! It's super delicious, the skin on the chicken gives the sandwich a great flavor and it's amazing! Had the Cuban sandwich as well, the mustard is on point! I am not a big fan of pickles, but their pickles are quite delicious. read more

Always ALWAYS get the crispy chicken sandwich! Unless you are inclined to get a different one. They are all so good. Ask for the Simple Soda! Orange if they have it. Worth collaborates with so many local businesses it's one of the best things that has happened to the entire Phoenix area, let alone downtown Mesa. The owners and workers are awesome, the good vibes are oozing out of the walls. Don't settle for a chain when you can come here, please and thank you. read more

Absolutely love worth takeaway been there 5 times now and each time was better than the last. I recommend the Cuban or the breakfast burrito. The place is small but don't let that make you think the portions are. I am so full when I leave there. I feel I get a lot for my money. Also I was told they use as much local ingredients and produce as they can . I really like that about them. One complaint.....why aren't there more locations! read more

The crispy chicken sandwich made me question all food I've previously eaten to this point in my life. I might name my next child after the banana pudding. It's that good. But for real, 10 out of 10. read more

I kept seeing these amazing food photos, so I had to try this place. And guess what?- THE FOOD ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE THE PICTURE!! It was a cozy, friendly cafe, almost like being on vacation in a tiny town on the way to anywhere. I had a fried chicken sandwich it was nothing like I had before. The bread was amazing! This is what small business in America looks like and tastes like. read more

I could eat their crispy chicken everyday and still crave it. Their bread is to die for !

Absolutely delicious and worth the trek up to Mesa! I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was so flavorful! I live in SC and wish I could come and have that sandwich again!! read more

My husband and I just ate here after looking at their great Yelp reviews. A limited menu, but we were not disappointed...we had the crispy chicken sandwich and it was excellent. It was so unique, with some great flavors and ingredients. Neither of us typically like pickles in our sandwich, but these sweet pickles that were in the sandwich added a nice crisp and flavor. I especially liked the way all the ingredients were spread throughout, so every bite was scrumptious. We will be going back to try some other things soon. read more

Wow - awesome food, great value, and an interesting twist. Very, very pleased with this place!

Best sandwiches hands down! I love and frequent this local joint. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich is my favorite (also comes in salad form that is equally delicious) but they have weekly specials that are amazing. Small dining area, so keep that in mind. If you haven't been, go! read more

This place is delicious, but the prices are a bit high for what you get. The banana pudding is my favorite. They also have house made kettle chips which are pretty good. I like that you can order their food while at Oro Brewing since Oro has no kitchen. read more

Excellent breakfast spot! We had the breakfast burrito and it was huge we probably could have shared it, and the breakfast sammy it was delicious with bacon. There was a constant flow of traffic in and out. Quick friendly service with excellent quality food. Pretty sure this is going to be our new favorite local spot. read more
