Cuisine: 5 Service: 5…read moreDecor: 7 Value: 7 Overall: 6 The short answer? The food is alright. The service is average too. I came here a few times because they have a precious parking lot. However, I wish they could improve upon their food a tad. The namesake tofu stews all lack depth of flavor and the quality of tofu feels underwhelming. Their accompanying steamed white rice also tastes too firm and not glutinous enough. Together, this restaurant does not make a better soondubu than most of the Korean restaurants around, even though they should specialize in it. Also, they don't offer much in terms of banchans, which seems like a common trend in many Korean restaurants. On the other hand, I would say that their Grilled Mackerel and Grilled LA Galbi is decent. Not good enough that I would go here for those dishes because I have many options for those items. I come for the soondubu and sadly I have given it enough opportunities to impress.

Very comfortable space to dine as a family of four and if you are a larger group, they have a great space on the side for larger parties. The bahn chan was delicious, especially the egg. Tofu was soft and good flavor in the plain broth. Grilled mackerel was delicious. Few places make it less salty without asking and theirs was spot on! Bibimbap had good flavor without needing to add the sauce. Enjoyable meal. Would definitely come back.

It's the kind of spot that hits you with those nostalgic, authentic Korean flavors but levels them up just enough to keep things exciting. I went all in with their crispy juicy fried dumpling, grilled mackerel, cheese dak-galbi set (showstopper), and the top blade beef steak. No regrets. Every dish came out solid, flavorful, and lowkey addictive. If you made it this far, just know this... I'm 100% coming back... probably sooner than I should. Great service and great for groups.

There's 2 waitresses and one busser, but I felt only one of the waitress was pulling the weight, while the other (maybe she's the owner?) mostly chatted with one of the table customers. I felt bad for our waitress she was so busy with fulfilling takeouts + dine ins and the dishes require a lot of servicing table side. She couldn't catch 1 second of break :( Food wise, we got their 2 person combo of spicy pork gamja tang and spicy rice cake which came with the steamed egg. Everything was so good, egg was extra fluffy, rice cake was delicious and the meat came right off the bones. They take a good variety of side dishes. My partner wasn't a fan of the gamja tang but due to feeling it's a hassle to eat meat with bones, so those who fee sim may agree. We also asked for the fried rice after we finished the gamja tang, for 2 servings I think it was $4.75 or something. I really enjoyed it but I guess I like scorched rice, also something my partner doesn't enjoy so those we feel sim just note. Environment feels very old school, well worn. Feels cozy. It can get loud very quickly on a Saturday night as this place seems to be a hit for large parties. Since the wait staff is short handed, expect a bit of a wait for things. Don't come if you're in a rush.

This is kind of my go-to when I'm craving some good, traditional Korean food, whether it's bibimbap, galbi, tofu soup, bossam, or whatever else catches my eye. My husband especially loves their cold beef soba soup, which is honestly perfect to have after Korean BBQ! Food: 5/5 If you're looking for Korean comfort food with really good banchan, this is the place to be. I always love their kimchi, and they usually have mung bean sprouts, pickled radish, and other little side dishes to go with your meal. You know I love a good banchan spread, and they do a great job of giving you plenty of little things to enjoy alongside your food. Out of everything I've had here, my favorites are still the bossam and the cold beef soba soup. They're just such a good combination, and they really hit the spot when I'm craving authentic Korean food. But don't let that stop you from trying other things on the menu! Their mandu are also worth getting, especially if you're newer to Korean food and want to try something delicious without getting too adventurous right away. Vibes: 5/5 I'm not gonna lie, this isn't the trendiest restaurant or the newest spot on the scene. But it has that old-fashioned Korean diner vibe that's honestly hard to hate. It just makes me feel so comfortable being here. You can chillax, take your time, and enjoy your food without feeling like you need to rush off somewhere else. I love the little placemats they use as menus, and the aunties are always super nice. Honestly, it's just a cozy little experience that makes me happy. You order your food, it comes out, and then you get to sit back and enjoy. Sometimes, that's really all I want from a restaurant! All in all, I'd definitely come back! It's also pretty easy to get to, especially if you take the Q44 Select Bus Service, which connects places like Flushing-Main Street and the Bronx Zoo. Having a solid Korean spot that's convenient to get to is always a plus.

The pork was indeed very good. My only comment was that the waitress seemed very stressed and frazzled. She was stressing about cooking the food and some of it was getting overcooked but also our banchan didn't get refilled because of it. Their English is also not great so there were times when we had a tough time communicating. I would say overall the food was good and we had a good time. It was also very reasonably priced.
