I'm on vacation in Tennessee and chose this restaurant because it seemed like a cute place. As far as the inside is is on the smaller side and it was packed. We were first sat beside this family and the tables were so unbearably close to each other that I could feel their breath on my face. I would've been okay with that but we are still in a pandemic and would have a appreciated the tables having some more space between them. We asked to be switched to the tables outside, where there was more space amongst the tables. We had Tia as our waitress and let me just say she was so unbelievably kind and patient with us. The food wasn't the best (no fault of her own) but with every issue we had with the food she was so nice and understanding with us and gave us amazing customer service which I am extremely grateful for. Now onto the food, we ordered the smoked salmon dip as an appetizer and for our entrees we ordered the brisket nachos, the burnt ends, Mac n cheese, corn bread waffle, and the smoked chicken chowder soup. The brisket nachos were good, my only issue was that I only had one small piece of brisket but other than that they were delicious! As far as the rest of the food, it came out not warm and just lacking of flavor. All the food was aesthetically pleasing to the eye but as far as taste and flavor it just wasn't there. The food was bland and if it wasn't bland they just added a bunch of spice to hide the fact the food has no true flavor. Even though the food wasn't the best the drinks were amazing. We had the margarita and it was so yummy. Overall, the restaurant is a cute place with great drinks and nachos. However the rest of the food did not come out at the best temperature and was just overall tasteless. And once again I am extremely satisfied with the customer service I received from our waitress, she was amazing read more

Portions vary with no rhyme or reason-with that being said the brisket is excellently smoked and seasoned! I'm personally not a fan of burnt ends so communicate with them so you too can enjoy the wild River brisket experience! read more

Nice place to try in your Memphis BBQ adventures. Wolf River Brisket is a good option if you want to experience something a little different in local BBQ. My friend and I went for an impromptu late lunch and enjoyed most everything we ordered. The queso chili dip was a surprise hit after selecting it on pure impulse. I chose the burnt ends meal with macaroni and sweet turnip greens. The ends and macaroni were good but I discovered I wasn't a fan of sweet turnip greens. I had never had them before and didn't know what to expect, so blame me for venturing out on that choice. I actually exchanged my greens for brussel sprouts and enjoyed them much more. All in all, I'd suggest this place for something a little different in BBQ eating. Decent price, great staff, unique BBQ menu, and overall nice experience. read more

The hostess greeted us immediately and we were sat within 3 minutes. The server quickly came to our table and accurately put in our order. The trouble began when the food came out that we ordered in 4 minutes. It was cold and obviously had been sitting for a period of time. I asked for hot food and the server brought out another plate within 3 minutes that was room temperature. A few degrees warmer than the previous plate. I asked the server why this food comes out cold she said that cold food is normal here. So pretty much if you want to spend your money on cold mediocre food, this is the place to come to. Burnt ends: they were served no more than room temperature twice. The meat cubes were either chewy or straight up fat morsels tossed in a light mildly flavored bbq sauce. Mac and cheese: served cold both times. Definitely not your grandmothers Mac and cheese. It is more like noodles with a salty yellow sauce without any flavor of cheese. Brussels Sprouts: I didn't even get a chance to try them because I was just utterly disgusted with everything else I was served. read more

Revisited Wolf River Brisket, and so glad we did! The food was excellent, and the service was fantastic. We tried the purple hull pea hummus and were pleasantly surprised. The smoked wings are awesome! The brisket was perfect, smoky, just right. The Cobb salad was huge, and perfect also. Great meal and great overall experience. Great job WRB! read more

Definitely recommend. A cool atmosphere, nice heated outdoor area, (But we stayed inside) and the BBQ was great. Smoked Chicken Sandwich and 3 Meat Platter were delicious. The Burnt Ends were a little on the sweet side for my preference, but the spicy BBQ sauce took care of that. The shredded Brussel Sprouts were amazing. read more

My hubby, son and I are new to the area and are looking for cool places to eat. Yelp never fails in the quest !! Our server was Sam and she was so delightful. Very helpful while making our food choices. My hubby had the brisket with a cup of brisket chili and cornbread. Omg so delicious. The cornbread was made in the shape of a waffle and was so light and crispy. Very good. I'd go there just for that !! My son had the burnt ends. His only critique was the bbq sauce. Yup ~ chefs are picky like that!! I ordered the smoked chicken salad sandwich with a side of red cabbage slaw. We were all very satisfied with our selections. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Food was great, service was friendly and fast. Brisket was unbelievable - will return whenever I am in Tennessee

Every time my wife and I go to Wolf River Brisket the service & food are fantastic! I personally like the burnt ends and the cheese grits.

My friend from Oregon and I had dinner at Wolf River Brisket in Collierville while she was in Tennessee. We had an outstanding meal and our waitress Tish was over the top EXCELLENT! She was helpful, gave us ordering ideas and made our evening a perfect memory. Thank you Tish! I will be bringing all my friends to WR when they come to visit! AWESOME!! read more

Wow! My husband & and I were looking for something different & did we find it here! Stumbled on this charming pub! It was wonderfully decked out "Christmas!!" I felt like I was in a different city! We stopped in for a drink but decided to stay for dinner. Everything was delicious & we will certainly be back. It was a long way from Central Gardens, but worth the drive! read more

I have intended to try Wolf River Brisket Co. when I was in the area, finally made it there this afternoon & scored a small Patio Table. Dining Room was Open. Hostess & Server were professional & Covid-conscious. There were real Napkins & Silverware. The Combo (choose 2 for $10.90) allowed me to compare a Cup of Brisket Chili & a Cup of Brisket Stew. Both were thick, filled with real tomato chunks & traditional Homestyle ingredients. A thin triangle of Cornbread "Waffle" was new to me & also good. I've enjoyed Brisket in quite a few places, including Texas. This didn't really wow me. Next visit I will try the re-smoked Burnt End cubes, to get a better taste of the Brisket itself. read more

First time ordering WRB via DoorDash so not sure if this was a one time experience or a regular thing, but wasn't impressed with what we received over the weekend and I think this place is overhyped in general. (To be fair, I have been in person too!) Sides were delicious, but brisket and burnt ends we had ordered were more fat than meat. Spent the greater portion of our mealtime picking out fat off our plates and from our teeth. Ordered the smoked salmon dip for an app and got all crumbs for chips. Bread pudding was over cooked and like a rock but flavor was great. I'd say the shining point of the meal was the broccoli salad...which is kinda sad. read more

Service was very good. Server was attentive but not overly so. I had the brisket plate and it was excellent. The brisket had a good smokey flavor but it did not overwhelm the taste of the meat. It enhanced the taste, did not overpower. The mashed potatoes were excellent and the Brussel sprouts were excellent also. My wife had the Cobb Salad with brisket on it instead of the smoked chicken. She said it was excellent as well. Enjoyed the meal. Recommend it. read more

This place was so good! We just moved to Memphis from Southern California so I've been on a mission to find restaurants that serve good Southern food. We ordered the corn bread waffles, WRB brisket and grits, and more. We also ordered the Tennessee Mule drink and it was so good. We went during happy hour and I must say their happy hour is great. The grits weren't what I expected and were a little dry but still good. I'd definitely come here again read more

The ambiance of this place was amazing. Great music, great drinks, great service! The food was not great however :( They ran out of burnt ends, and those that got it, were only given a few. The sides were not great (which was surprising because everyone we met was saying how much they love their mac and cheese). I wouldn't go to this place if you want some delicious food, but if you want to hang out with friends and have a few drinks, this would be a fantastic place to meet! read more

Walked in the place looks amazing and smells great!! We set down the server was very friendly and once we ordered they never came back until about 30-40mins later to bring a check. The smoked queso was wonderful but the 3 meat sampler was very underwhelming. The only meat that was hot was the smoked sausage and it had good flavor. The brisket was dry and took a knife to cut and burnt-end was just a soggy mess of sauce and fat. The Mac-cheese was bland with seasoning over the top and the famous waffle cornbread wasn't anything to be excited about very dry and lacked flavor. I wouldn't recommend as it was a $50+ meal for 1 adult 1 kid no alcohol read more

Food was disappointing. Nothing special. Plus, a restaurant with brisket in their name was out of brisket.

One of the best brisket places in the area! Very worth stopping in and having a bite to eat. Very cool atmosphere and very good staffing. They are very attentive to you needs and truly a place where everything on the menu is amazing! read more

They shouldn't put brisket in their name. Burnt ins were like slow cooked pot roast. Brisket was week old microwaved and dry. No smoke ring. Sauce tasted like my son mixed catchup and water together. Wings needed a crust and didn't taste smoked. They might need to look at cook staff if that is the quality of food you're putting out. The 2 stars was for our server which was nice. read more

Although I expected it to be a more casual atmosphere, it was causal with an upscale flair. I really liked it! We started with a beer and wine, and took our time with the menu. The hostess was a little odd, our server was very attentive and friendly! My husband ordered the smokehouse Mac with mixed brisket and really enjoyed it, although he expected it to be a larger portion of the mac. I asked the server if I should choose the shrimp and grits, or the smoked salmon, and he agreed that it was a tough choice. I chose the smoked salmon at his recommendation, with cheese grits instead of rice, and the brussel sprouts. First, the brussel sprouts are AMAZING! It's more like a hot "slaw" and it was perfect! And the cheese grits - yum! Peppery, creamy and rich. The smoked salmon was perfectly cooked and I ate it with the Alabama white sauce and without because it was delicious both ways - very moist! I wish I had ordered one of the fun drinks they had instead of the wine, although the Pinot Gris was a great accompaniment. Great overall experience. read more

It seems that my reviews are either fours or fives, but I typically ask friends, read the menu and reviews before going somewhere. With Wolf River Brisket, I have actually been there four times and don't think I've ever written a view. I'm not sure why. The staff is always really friendly and really good at making recommendations. The food is fantastic. I used to always say I didn't like brisket. That is because I had never had good brisket and definitely not great brisket. The brisket at Wolf River is great! You can cut it with a fork. The brisket stew, sausage (pineapple is my favorite), cornbread, Brussels sprouts, broccoli salad and grit cake are all wonderful. I have enjoyed pretty much everything I've had. You may wonder why I am giving them a four rating. This place is cold. Summer, Fall or Winter I've had to wear a jacket while eating or I froze because I forgot my jacket. I do not like being uncomfortable while eating. I recommend giving them a try, but also recommend you take a jacket or coat with you. read more

Good ambiance and service is usually good. Ive tried a few things and have found the food to be just ok.

I eat here after church on most Sundays. I have the half pimiento cheese sandwich and a cup of chili. It's the best! The bar tender is always nice and I love the smell of the place. Highly recommended Wolf River Brisket read more

Tonight was the first time ever visited. It was really, really good and I wish that we had come earlier. We have brought generations of dogs and cats to the veterinarian next door but never tried it out. I had the brisket with Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes and a cornbread waffle. She had burnt ends with macaroni. One kid ate smoked sausage and the other one had peanut butter and jelly. We really liked the food and the service and atmosphere. I think this is the first time I've had actual good brisket at a restaurant in a long time. read more

I'm taking away a star because my brisket was cold when it got to the table . That being said, it was pretty good. I like the bar and the food options were eclectic enough to try some new things. If I lived closer, I'd revisit for an additional experience. The waiter was very nice and helpful. He explained the menu and offered suggestions that I appreciated. Smaller portions than I expected for the cost in Tennessee but it was filling enough read more

We gave you guys a second chance. We were there Thursday evening and there were hardly any customers there. One order was not available, wow! The waitress needs to work on her people skills. The food came out fast but the food was lukewarm and small portion. The food quality was like leftovers. Maybe is because it was towards closing time. They didn't no who ordered was who. The food was okay but not where you wish that you would have more. We had to asked for refills. Sorry, you guys need work on food quality and customer services. read more

Love the food and service at the Germantown location! The only downside is when you walk in for an order; wait time may be a little slow.

As soon as you get within 20feet of this building you know you're at the right place. The atmosphere is clean and modern, service is great, and the food makes this place a great experience for all. Lots of good alcohol options for higher end liquor and all local beers on draft(minus blue moon.) 10/10 would recommend to others read more

This place does not represent value for money. We tried the brisket, which was dry and tough, the burnt ends, which were neither burnt or ends - just chopped meat, and the mac and cheese with chicken. Pretty lousy, actually. I think this place is not meeting the hype. read more

Great food and a great place for a small meet up with friends and or family. The bar is super cool!

This place is racist! My daughter, my mom, and I (black) walked in and no host or hostess was available! Bartender informed us there's a 45 min wait and they're understaffed. We went back to the car to find another restaurant and watched them immediately sit a white couple. I walked back in to find out rather there's a wait or not. Was told they're not sure what's going on and offered to sit us outside. I declined due to not feeling safe eating there. I understand places are understaffed but employees should use their words wisely. read more

We LOVE Wolf River Brisket Co!!! We just had another wonderful evening with excellent service, food, drinks (the smoke salt margarita...yum) on the awesome patio! Of course the pimento cheese and jam appetizer is a great start, the burnt ends are from another world, and the smoked sausage is beyond! Our server Wes was fantastic!! Personal, attentive, great suggestions, gave us space while our drinks never went dry but then related in such a genuine way that we'll be asking for him the next time we return! read more
