Tons of brightly lot streamers & holiday decor- no surface left untouched.

Holiday decor at Germantown is the most FUN! This was done by colorful owners & staff. Excellent dinner & atmosphere.

Tacos with Purple Hull Pea Succotash

A friend took me here for a light bite, I love the ambiance and the smell of bbq when you walk in was Amazzzzing! Outside patio is gorgeous. Taco Tuesday deal was 2 street tacos for $12 Really nice happy hour offerings but I found the mocktails super impressive, I could easily want everything on the menu, it all sounded delicious! I had the burnt ends taco and a chicken taco both were well seasoned, flavourful & portioned for a light bite, and the pineapple, blackberry mule was out of this world good with a deep purple hue.

1/4 pretzel left over. Too big for us to finish!

Had a really good visit to WRB today. Place is decorated beautifully for Christmas! Came in for a pretzel and we have to come back again to enjoy all the decor. Waitress was very nice, pretzel was great as usual. Shout out to y'all for the smoked turkey breast we ordered for Thanksgiving. It was fantastic! We ate every bit, and even made a turkey pot pie!

Shrimp n grits

I have officially found my favorite dish here! Don't get me wrong everything I've gotten so far has been great, but the brisket and grits is just on point! If you can't tell by now I do love grits and how cheesy it is. Pair that with a meat that just melts in your mouth and some pickled green tomatoes... it just leaves me lost for words. Adrianna was our server this time and always her service was great. Very attentive when we needed refills and made sure to ask if we wanted the cornbread waffle.

3 Three Meat Sampler with Brussels Sprouts

Nice dinner at Wolf River, excellent selection of bourbon... Bookers available at $24 a pour 3 meat plate was solid although the sliced brisket was dry. The sausage and burnt ends were phenomenal as was the Brussels sprouts....yes I said Brussels sprouts. I Recommend WRB

Blair P.

A different fare and pleasant ambiance, we were well taken care of. In a geographic area where pork BBQ is everywhere, WRB provides a different alternative, and it's well done. From the brisket and burnt tips, to the cornbread waffles, our meal was solid. The only disappointment was the chicken placed atop my Caesar salad where about 25% was gristle. The salad was good tho. In fairness, I am not a complainer so I didn't send it back. Also in fairness, the server who saw the chicken left behind didn't acknowledge the fatty leftover. We all enjoyed our time together and the food good. Try it sometime.

I had an awesome experience at WRB. I went in with a group for dinner and they were super kind and accommodating to our large party. We started out with the Three Meat Sampler. It included: sliced brisket (4 oz) burnt ends (6 oz) smoked sausage served with mac & cheese, choice of side and bread (the bread is a waffle shaped cornbread) and it is delicious. We also had the Smoked Wings! 10 tossed in house rub served with choice of ranch or blue cheese dressing. They are so good and super flavorful and juicy. The side salads were also fresh and crisp. There are other items I want to try. I can't wait to go back!

Is this a good place for a large group (10-15)?

Yes, they can accommodate a large group. They would have to put sum tables together. The Collierville location would be cramped but I think the southaven location will work. The food is delicious. I would say, give them a call for a heads up.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in its sun room with a neutral natural palette that I once indulged myself at the Rose Tavern in Canandaigua in Upstate New York. That nostalgic feeling of being in a beautiful tavern is pure delight. Absolutely beautiful restaurant, truly deserves limelight recognition in Germantown. Our darling Annalise server was extremely friendly. We loved the presentation of our dinner, but the octopus was a bit soft for our taste. I've had plenty of octopus in other cities and understand the dish is typically more expensive, but a small single mediocre tentacle is quite pricey for $28. I personally prefer a crispy and firmer chew for octopus. The scallops and shishito peppers were a delightful pairing. Valet parking shouldn't be forced upon the customer though? I felt bad that I don't carry cash to tip the valet, and valet is mandatory unless you want to park on the side streets and walk over. Do carry any cash! I wish that a portion of the parking lot was open for self parking though as those boys don't need to help out every guest who don't need valet and subjecting them to wait around for the boys to grab cars that we're perfectly capable of doing ourselves.

If not a local,…read morehow many more looking for a twist on your American grill/steakhouse, might try you on for size? Owner's Yelp About Business info doesn't clue you in either that the Grille has Greek roots and menu influence. By digging to see the names Taras, Dimitri, and (Jim) Katsoutes, the original owner of Jim's downtown 1921 would you guess, and as a 3rd gen family business they obviously have a following. And after that buildup, just not us, albeit that we all ordered fish. With ribs in town, limiting the week's caloric uptake was a check for the ticker ;) Shrimp cocktail $21 comes with 1/2 doz long & large, grilled with a steak like pepper seasoning, ie Grecian, served warm in cold cocktail sauce edged by bibb lettuce that looks great in a stainless cocktail stem, but no one was eating haha. 3.75/5* but my BIL who is a local, person always gets. For him it's a 5. Greek Salad $24 with salmon aok but again BIL loves this place. Norwegian Salmon entree $27 was overcooked, ordered rare and blackened, and not spicy at all. Entree comes with 2 sides; hubby chose a side salad which was just blah spring greens, tomato, cuke and croutons, but a cloyingly sweet balsamic dressing didn't help either despite 3 lemon wedges. Better option would be if they offeres a Greek side salad. Mash, the other side was fine. 3.5/5* Halibut fresh catch of day $37 is about 6-7oz asked for chargrilled, it was more delicate like cod, lacking the flakey firmness and oilier flavor or halibut. Select your sauce: a Mediterranean-- feta roma red onion, but a light hollandaise? & bacon??..is that a TN thing to add bacon to everything lol. Or the Creole with Parmesan, again why add Cheese/fat to a sauce that should be perfect without? the Lemon Garlic is butter based so whileI hoped for 2 great sauces, I steered to a heart healthier olive oil & oregano blend on the side. But it was just kinda oily without fruitiness or burny polyphenols of EVOO; the Lemon wedge was best. Turnip Greens cooked with ham hock, was not noticeable--fine by me, cooked down to texture of canned spinach and not at all bitter. Liked this the best, shockingly lol. Really wanted to try the Grecian rice but it's cooked in yes, butter, that fat suck again sigh, with Chix broth topped with a tomato Greek spice. So stuck to a plain Baked Idaho tater dressed down skinny sans bacon n cheese. 3.5/5* Good pour of Sazerac Rye in Old Fashioned. Full glass of little rocks suck though vs the signature big block ice for pro's, that waters it too quickly and visually no comparison. 3/5* $14.42 ok, but sticker shock another $4.20 additional Liquor Tax for 2 drinks, damn. I am sure the full duty Hickory n Oak grilled Lamb Chops & steaks are great but nearing $60 I'd choose elsewhere based on our fish dishes, while edible were not worthy of the billing and nothing we'd crave, ditto for the sides. Too bad because the true Greek influence has been buttered, cheesed, and baconed out. Dining Room is busy and energetic which is always good, lots of waitstaff, moody medium and dark brown decor, quite inviting. Jason did a great job on our table, but the proof, not in this pudding today. Thanks anyway, now moving onto those Ribs, Charlie Vergos :D

Lane 24 for 1 hour, 3 pairs of shoes for $30.00. I thought this was very reasonable. I'm not really sure what the price breakdown was for the lanes and the shoes, but I kind of expected 30 for the hour and more for shoes. The equipment, whatever its called, however it works, performed properly, and we didn't lose any of our time we paid for waiting for malfunctions to be corrected. When I got there,I wanted beer. There happened to be a line that seemed to take forever, there were two bartenders, but the good news is that I was able to buy 3 beers at once, and I was given a bucket of ice, so I never had to wait in the line again. The weird thing is, the bartender thought it necessary to remove all the beer caps at once. They checked my id and gave me a wrist band, which I suspect is a way to prevent a purchaser from sharing with underage teens. Or rather,a way to catch underage drinkers. The arcade was very antiquated. There is a photo booth that charges 3 bucks for a single picture. I thought these were obsolete. Who wants a 3 dollar selfie????? The arcade also was small. There were a couple games not working which took our money. There are signs saying you are shit out of luck losing money to a machine that steals because they don't own the machines. This is such BS. I bet they own the money that goes into the machines. Besides, someone owns the machines. Actually I really don't care who owns what, the bottom line is that if there are machines that only take money and do not perform, it is basically theft to leave them open to the public and deny any responsibility without even removing the machine from service. The arcade was also too small and the games were old. There is a bar that is separated from the rest of the building for the grown ups to hang out in. Bad thing is, this would be perfect for smokers, but sorry, not allowed. There was an armed security guard. Don't know how much protection he could actually provide, or if he is actually full time, but there was no sign on the door restricting citizens from carrying their own weapons. I drank three beers. I was unarmed. But I would be willing to bet there were at least a dozen firearms inside. I was able to feel comfortable having children and an infant. I think the guy bowling next to us had something under his shirt. I look forward to returning another night. We did not try the skating. It's been over 20 years, but it does sound fun.

The half-finished paint job that's been there for over 8 months mixed with the 90s food court cup colors really made me feel at home. I also appreciated the broken arms on the chairs, and the random half booth and table. The bar felt like a Mexican restaurant. And don't get me started on the worst Spotify-free music playlist I've ever heard. It was vulgar, completely no-name artists, and was just depressing. Top notch ceiling tiles too. Sagging, torn, or covered in mold. Drive to Bartlett. This place is a Gutterball.

I do believe C and I have only been here once as a couple. It did not go well at all, so we have not been back together, as she is holding a bit of a grudge. It's a long story but it all ties back to service. That night we had the worst table in the building and service was spotty at best. Food was still pretty good, just whole ass annoyed by the entirety of the rest of the experience. I am lucky enough to be able to be taken to/host dinner with clients and manufacturers a good bit. They like places like this so I get by ever so often. Gotta love expensed meals!!! Tehehe I like the open kitchen concept they have and the bar is really cool. The metal shelves at the bar that store the booze are bad ass. It's warm and cozy and has a great vibe overall. The last time we sat on the enclosed patio. I had not sat out there before. I think the larger tables all go out there. We had seven and there was another group of about twenty in the same room with us. Food ranges from fairly good to fucking great. I've never had anything bad here, but a few sighs have been had, mostly by misunderstood expectations of what I was getting I would say. So, quite possibly I am the problem. As with most of my problems, actually... The oysters Rockefeller are very different from the norm. Fried oysters on a side of spinach. That's what it seems like. I ate it up, don't get me wrong. I did just switch to only fried oysters after the first one. No need wasting stomach space on spinach. Charbroiled oysters is always a good move and the preparation remains traditional on that one. I do find the oysters to be quite massive and hard to chew the whole thing at once. Cutting them just seems silly though. Steaks are prepared very well and to your liking each time. I have never had a bad one. Good flavor too. I am going to spring on the Hawaiian Ribeye the next time I go on my dime. It's a classic that I remember from Steak and Ale as well as Houston's. Both now gone from Memphis. I like the she crab soup an awful lot, and just about every entree I have had here is killer. You really cannot go wrong with the food. Just order something you normally like and boom. I will also say this. The short ribs I had last time were some of the best I have ever had. Bravo on that! Additionally, I had two giant pieces for like $40! I could only eat one of them after all of the appetizers. Oh.... Yea. They have a hot lobster roll that is good! You don't see that in Memphis very often!! Get you some. Wait.... Lamb Lollipops. They have evolved some of the years but they have really good lamb chops. They used to be the exact same dish as their sister concepts of Itta Bena, BB Kings, and Lafayette's. I am not sure if the whole family still has the old version or not. Here it has changed a good bit. As I write this, I crave it.... Ugh. Damn your foods and your seductive prowess food skills! Lastly, Tommy Peters did great things for this city's food scene. I am sad that he is gone but I know he was proud of this one! Ok. That's enough, Adam.... No one reads this crap anyway. '26 - 48
