Stale! The dough on both pieces I ordered was hard and inedible. The pizza is sold by the slice and they must let it sit in the display until it sells. I've been on a weekend before when things were busy, and the pizza was good, but the last time I went was on a slow-ish weeknight and the pizza literally tasted as though it was three days old. They close too early now which sucks!!this WASHINGTON DC staple has officially downgraded. can't even recommend ppl here anymore because they close so very early lol and it's become a RTI kar soot which is unfortunate... I ordered the vegan supreme and it was awful. The crust is not crispy and the sauce lacks flavor. I thought the pizza would crisp up in the oven and it remained soggy. Never again. The location is Navy Yard in WDC. Yelp made this post to say I live in CA but I do not. read more

I've ordered here twice now. I'm new to the area. I walked a few blocks to get here and I don't regret it. The servers were very polite and mindful. They also made sure customers got what they wanted. They had a very clean waiting line for people who want to sit down before picking up their order. Outside the place is a neat little park that you could hang out at. The pizza I get from here may be expensive but I think it's worth every dollar. The cooks know what they're doing. read more

I'm pretty meh on this place. I know a decent amount of people (even New Yorkers! Gasp!) who consider this one of the better pizza places in D.C. However, on my visit, the pizza was disappointingly bland. Between a friend and me, we tried the paneer tikka, the buffalo, and the mushroom truffle. The sauce on the butter chicken was not nearly spicy enough and neither was the jalapeno sauce, the mushroom truffle was fine but the mushroom to cheese ratio was off, and the buffalo chicken was the most disappointing of all - only 2 tiny pieces of chicken on the whole slice. The buffalo sauce wasn't spicy and I felt like i was just eating a ranch pizza. The texture of the cheese was all coagulated - tasted more like a chain pizza store than a supposedly specialty shop. Maybe I was there on an off day, but I really wasn't impressed. The prices aren't bad - so if you're really needing pizza in the area go for it - I just wouldn't expect anything beyond mediocre. read more

This is their second location in DC. I like their flagship location on Mass Ave better despite being smaller. It smelled like gas here when we arrived, and it must be difficult trying to retain the heat from a pizza place to the cool of a gelato place attached. Hopefully the gas smell will go away and they could find the right temperature for the venue. The mushroom truffle pizza at this location is still delicious but I do miss seeing the wood fire like they do at the other location. read more

Wiseguy is my go to pizza spot. Coming from NY/NJ, it's not easy finding good pizza. I usually go to their other locations in the city, but happened to stop by the Navy Yard shop last week on my drive home from work. They made an honest mistake, and gave me a pepperoni pie instead of cheese. The reason I am bringing them down to 4 stars is because when they corrected their mistake, and gave me a cheese pie, the pie was not fully cooked. This was visible by the looks of the pizza, along with the taste when I got home. The pizza was great after I heated it up it at home, but they should have handled that better. read more

Not the best pizza, but the location is convenient and parking is reasonable. Excellent selection of pizza slices. Unfortunately both times I've been in though it has seemed like the pizzas were overcooked or had been sitting out waiting for their rewarming a little too long. This location has the worst customer service and cannot get their orders right like the New York Ave location. I waited more that 45 minutes for a pizza that was told would take 20 minutes. Later to find out the cook put my pizza out to serve and did not get the order correct. Please help this location out because it needs help. read more

Love the pizza! Caesar salad is great as well! My only criticism is that when I order a water, would prefer it be provided in a paper cup instead of plastic. Same with Caesar salad, would prefer that it be provided on a paper plate instead of plastic container when dining inside. Whenever possible, I prefer reusable cutlery or biodegradable plates/cups. read more

This is not the best pizza I've had, but it's decent and they have a lot of interesting flavors, including a lot of vegetarian options. I tried the veggie paneer and the mushroom truffle oil and they were both delicious. We had 5 in our party and everyone was very satisfied. They loved the the Korean chicken slice. I cannot say ENOUGH good things about Wiseguy pizza! It's the perfect little location to get in and out of, especially for a slice or two to go. I am literally addicted to the penne alla vodka pie, which tastes as close to NYC pizza as it gets. Even as a classic pizza guy I have to say that the chicken paneer masala pizza is legit amazing.

There is no better pizza in DC. It's so hard to sway from the always excellent margarita or even plain slice, but I also highly recommend their specialty pizzas. Their Korean chicken, paneer, tikka, all are simply heavenly. You can't go wrong with any of the choices here! read more

Generally a good slice but seemingly lazy on the customer service. They claim to be an NYC style yet requires a whole pie to give you the topping you want. 90% of the shops in NYC start with a slice of cheese, put your topping on and then finish it off in the oven. Poor Manager and management 05/21/19 7pm Whoever is the manager at this time should not be. I was charged the wrong price for the order and then barked at by the manager who failed to see that a waiting customer, after several rounds of missed service, was overlooked and frustrated at not getting his order. The environment was disorganized and chaotic. Instead of customer service, the manager was condescending and unapologetic for the poor service. A crappy attitude for a manager. read more

Since I've been in DC I've heard great things about Wise Guys. I've walked by their place on Mass Ave a number of times, but never went. So now that they opened one in the Navy Yard a few blocks from my house, I decided to try it. So dissappoint. This is not good pizza. They have lots of "interesting" choices. For me, growing up in NJ, I'm biased when it come sto some things, bagels, calzones, and pizza. For me it is all about the dough and they failed miserably. The crust was hard as a rock and inedible. I won't be going back, there are too many decent pizza in the Navy yard area (although we just lost Justin's Cafe (RIP). Staff were friendly and the restaurant is bright. read more

Was so excited to see they opened a Wiseguy near Nats Park! Had a slice on the way to the game and on the way back :) The first slice was perfection, just as good as the original location by my old apartment near Chinatown.
