I have loved every slice I have tried here! They have different flavorful slices each time I try, and they are always so unique!

Sweet Chili Baked Wings

Arrived at Wise Guys at 11 PM on a Saturday. A bit of a line, but they process orders quickly. We were able to grab seats, but some people were standing to eat. First thing I noticed were all the interesting pizza flavors from Nashville Hot Chicken to Vegetarian Paneer Tikka. Pizzas are premade so you can see what you're getting. I believe 14 were on display. Once you order, they throw the slices back into the oven so they are piping hot when you get them. We ordered a slice of Korean BBQ Chicken, Mushroom Truffle, and Margherita. Got them as two-slice and one-slice combos so they came with two drinks and two garlic knots. Thin slices, but with some structure (not a floppy slice). I liked the Korean BBQ Chicken the best, it has some sweetness to it. If that's not your thing, the other two were good as well. I thought the garlic knots were fine, but the pizza was a better use of my calories. We also got an order of baked wings. I was surprised they were able to get a decent crust on the wings, despite being baked. Maybe it is because they were on the edge of being burnt, but it worked out. I also liked the flavor we got - sweet chili. It also surprisingly worked with the ranch dipping sauce. Not many food options open super late. Wise Guys is really good place for a snack/meal at night or at any time.

This place is part of a small local chain of pizza joint. This restaurant has a decent sized patio area on the sidewalk out front and a very small dining area. The dining area is a bit disheveled with boxes and drinks stacked all over. The staff there was nice, but I will admit my interaction with them was limited. There is metered parking in front of the restaurant and within a reasonable walking distance. I placed my order online and was able to find a coupon that gave me a few dollars off my order. In addition to pizza, they have salads, stromboli, rollers and desserts. I ordered a slice of pepperoni, a slice of Il Capo, and a slice of Korean Chicken. My order was not ready when I got there, but I did noit have to wait to long. My pizza was good. It was not the best I have had but it was good. It is similar to New York style (but much less grease) and the slices were decent sized. If you are looking to put some pizza in your life, you should definitely consider checking this place out.

Triple Pepperoni

TLDR; good pizza with lots of unique flavors. Decent portion for the price but taste is middle of the road. Not bad but not great. We did takeout. The online ordering experience was easy to navigate and our pizza was done quickly. We ordered: Triple pepperoni - a great pizza if you like lots of pepperoni on your slice. I was worried about it being too much but the ratio was just right. Good flavor but a lot like a traditional pepperoni pizza whereas I was expecting it to have a unique taste. Chicken bacon ranch - excellent taste but far too dry. Pizza needed more sauce and/or ranch. Overall good pizza but unsure if I would come back.

One of my favorite pizza places to visit in the DC area is this spot. This is one of those places where you have to recommend a delicious pizza for people to try on their next visit. I like the option for late hours, as it is a must for me since I like to eat pizza at any time of day, lol. The service is quick and easy. Before I forget, check out their lunch special: two slices of pizza and a drink, or choose the one you prefer.

This pizza shop rocks! We were in town visiting and were looking for a quick bite to eat in between tours and this pizza shop knocked it out of the park. The customer service, variety of pizzas, taste, presentation, cleanliness, customer service, and super friendly vibes made our experience awesome. I wish we had this pizza shop where we live in SoCal.

I came to Wiseguy Pizza with a group of friends. For a pizzeria, it was pretty spacious and allowed for dining in at tables or counters. I appreciated the various and unique selections they offered. I went with the Mushroom Truffle because I love white pizza, and the Nashville Hot Chicken because it was unique. Both pizzas came out fairly fast, and I enjoyed the flavors and crispness of each slice.

First time here and it's not my number 1 choice. I prefer my pizza made to order. The pizza was fine, the place was busy during lunch with limited seating.

Korean/Paneer

Where we've been staying in the city I've been seeing everyone carrying a Wise Guy Pizza box. So naturally I had to go and check it out. I know DC has several places selling big slice pizza. Wise Guy is impressive for the different variations of pizzas. The little corner pizzeria shop is a great place to enjoy a slice (or two...or a whole pie) inside or out. My wife and I enjoyed the Korean, Chicken Paneer, and the Il Capo, with some garlic knots. Since we order a slice, the pizza tasted good being reheated. But I think next time I want to get a whole pie because the people walking out with the fresh pies looked amazing. Will definitely be enjoying here soon again.

I heard Wiseguy offers the best pizza in DC so as a transplanted New Yorker, I had to check it out! I went with some friends late at night and it was still popping! I got the mushroom slice and enjoyed it! I like how the crust was thin but still had a nice chew. Ratio of cheese to crust was good but I would have loved more mushroom slices to balance out the basil pieces. My friend's Nashville chicken featured fine chicken but wasn't spicy enough. The paneer slice was actually quite spicy (and legit per my Indian friends). The pepper flavors came through and paneer chunks with a good texture. I liked how they heated up the slices nicely without overcooking the pizza. Staff were polite. Tables/seating available inside and out. Overall solid pizza for the DC area!

Chicken Parm Pizza, $29
Calder S.

I had the Chicken Parm pizza ($29) which was 18" big. The pizza was ok. The chicken tasted cheap and was more breading than chicken. The flavors were all a bit bland; adding crushed red pepper helped. I liked the crust (medium thickness) but my friend found it bland and cardboardy. I would visit again but I wouldn't get this pizza again. Service could be improved. I ordered for pick up at 5:45 PM and the pizza wasn't ready until 6 PM. Another person was also picking up a Chicken Parm pizza at the same time; I suspect they delayed my order to make it alongside the other order. Maybe this was more convenient for them, but it wasn't very good service for me. It's also a hassle to pick up pizzas because staff doesn't man the register all the time, so if all the staff are helping other people, there is no one to ask for your pizza, even if you see it sitting on a shelf. This Wiseguy location is barebones but has the basics. There are about 12 seats inside, a soda fountain, a bathroom. They provide napkin and shakers for parmesan and crushed red pepper.

Great place to come get a late night greasy bite to eat if you are craving pizza and are in the area. It's not jumbo slice but they do have warm pizza. The wings were bbq and they were good. They just heated them back up and poured sauce in it. Same with the pizza, it's already made they just warm it up.

We were staying close by for the Indy race in Washington DC and I was excited to try the 40 layer lasagna. Food (5/5): we started with the Focaccia - Rosemary | Fleur de Sel | Tomato Tapenade (v+) and it was delicious. Our favorite was the Fuoco Pizza - Soppressata | Fennel Sausage | Pickled Peppers | Calabrian Chili The pizza was so light and flakey and delicious! We did try the lasagna- it tasted like a short rib pasta and was creamy and decadent. Service (5/5); so wonderful. A sweet woman came by to ensure we had a good experience here. Ambiance (5/5): amazing beautiful restaurant.

I was surprised I could actually taste the saffron in this since there are more robust flavors going on here with the chili oil but I appreciated it! Focaccia: comes out looking like a popover but has that classic focaccia texture. Tomato tapenade is a must with this. Very good, but if you are picking one veg app go for the arancini. Cacio e Pepe: some of the best I've had in DC. Creamy, cheesy sauce cut with the perfect bite of black pepper that is obviously high quality and fresh. The pasta itself is perfectly chewy and it's all just glorious with a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc. Linguine al frutte di mare: seafood heaven. Not very spicy at all -- just enough for the enjoyment of it. Plenty of seafood and none of it was overdone. Flavorful sauce and once again perfectly cooked pasta. Hubby devoured but did note that he didn't get shrimp and scallops just crab and squid. Not that it was bad, just that's what he got and he would have liked the shrimp and scallops for balance. A note about the Vanilla soufflé: we wanted it but it takes 20 min to make and we didn't know so we didn't get it -- next time I come I'm getting it and ordering it with my meal. Just something to keep in mind. Pannetone bread pudding: love the concept and the execution. Pannetone makes a great base for bread pudding. Beautiful decor -- very classy and modern. Large dining area and a decent sized bar area. I Appreciate that the servers know and understand their menu and are available for recommendations without being overbearing.

The restaurant's exterior is unassuming, but it's quite charming inside. right when you walk in, there is a pasta mama making fresh pasta on the right hand side, which you can also see through the glass window from outside. We were staying at a nearby hotel and didn't want to go far, and lucky for us, Grazie Nonna was nestled in the base of an adjacent space, so we popped over on a Wednesday evening for dinner. We made reservations, which is recommended, as they were busy! The space features a gorgeous outdoor bar and courtyard with all the modern and bright finishes, while the inside is a call back to old school Italia with the old school charm from the art to photos, ornate fixtures and of course the large burning candle anchoring each table. Either area is an absolute vibe, different from each other, but still connected! It was a table of four, so naturally we started with a bit of antipasto, a bread service, meatballs and some cocktails. The Nonna Ciao cocktail was absolutely divine, beyond perfection! This theme remained strong in everything we experienced from the bread, meatballs, pasta and of course the pizza! Speaking of, they recently added the Pittsburgh Bianco pie to the menu, so naturally we had to go with it and it was the right call! The pizza was phenomenal, pillowy, but crispy crust, just the right amount of sauce, excellent sauce and the perfect mix and amount of cheese! Service was stellar from entry to exit. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, gracious and just fun to engage with. Overall, absolutely adore Grazie Nonna!

Shortly after we got our drink, we received notification of an opening and were seated by 8:15. We had the burrata appetizer, Ragú x 2, and the seafood fra diavolo. The burrata was one of the best I've had since they serve it with pesto, pine nuts, and garlic bread. It was truly divine! The Ragú was not far behind. Incredible flavor and a generous portion. The seafood dish had a nice kick and had plenty of seafood, which is not common as of late. All dishes were also priced reasonably for the quality you received. As we sat at the bar, we had pleasant conversation with the bartender and finished our meal with a small cannoli that really sealed the deal. Floriana, indeed, offers a good number of interesting app. and meat/seafood entrees. The restaurant sits in a small, old building in U-St Corridor. We went there at 7:45pm and both its first and second floors were packed with people. For food, we tried the following: 1. Steamed Mussels: served in white wine based broth. There were more mussels than I expected and they -- as well as the broth -- were full of umami. 2. Baby Beets salad: diced red beets, orange segments, thinly sliced green apple, arugula, whipped goat cheese at the bottom. Tasted fresh and refreshing. I especially like how beets went with the oranges and goat cheese. The crispiness of apple was also interesting. It would be better if there were more goat cheese! 3. Lasagna: my friend's entree even if he originially wanted to have non-pasta dishes lol. This heavy baby had a huge block of layered pasta and meat, and topped with a thick layer of beautifully melted cheese. Absolutely filling but also full of flavors. 4. Duck Breast: perfect medium rare and very tender. Came with sauteed gnocchi & swiss chard, cherry demi-glaze. The gnocchi pieces had very different shapes so I guess they were homemade. The swiss chard added some sweetness & juiciness to the dish. The sauce was good, but I could hardly taste the flavor of cherry. Also, I hope the pasta could be slightly firmer. 5. Complimentary bread: ~13g per piece. Served with a sauce similar to pesto. My friend liked the sauce very much. Service was quick, even if the restaurant was fully seated. Our server was also friendly and informative. For example, when I had a hard time deciding whether to order the Sunday Roast pasta or the duck, he explained the two dishes in detail.
