I had heard so much about the spot that we finally had a chance to go while we were in town! The wings were really good, not just pretty good, but they truly hit the spot. We ordered the golden with lemon pepper and the original in lemon pepper, buffalo, and kfc. All of them were good. I didn't get to stop by and enjoy a drink, however, I will when returning for my next vacation! Everyone seemed to be nice and I was surprised by the space and TV's they had in the dining area.

Kinda love this spot lol Def very divey and sports bar vibes but it's a wings place so I guess that's a duh! Real good prices and good wings, wouldn't get the waffle fries again tho they're pretty limp.

I don't know what happened but I'm disappointed to recommend this place to friends coming in from out of town. The service was spotty, with incorrect orders that when we brought it up, the waitress wanted to argue with us about it. The wings were tiny and dry and too overly sauced. We finished the meal looking like that peanut butter baby meme. Very expensive for what it is. The garlic fries were SWIMMING in oil. Only saving grace is that this is a great place for sports fans.

Great selection of wings and sauce. The customer service was good too. They were a little on the salty side but I'd recommend this place again and try other wings. Also no carrots for the side; just celery!

Ordered 10 wings and got one small cup of ranch (2oz) , so either they make it fresh or they're super cheap and trying to save money by rationing. Ordered lemon pepper wings (5)which were described as a wet rub, which doesn't make any sense, again trying to be different. It seemed like when it came down to the seasoning part they struck out or the shakers were on house arrest and wouldn't come out. Half my damn wings were barer than a defeathered chicken, buffalo wings were super soggy and lacked flavor as well (5) . Ima make sure we ain't ever back in this MF!! Go to hiwings instead, or pluckers at least they ain't stingy with ranch or seasoning.

I visited Wingzup two months ago for the first time and it was an amazing experience. The wings were cooked perfectly and there were so many good sauces. I returned last Sunday (Super Bowl Sunday) for lunch to see if my good experience was an anomaly or a pattern. The good news is, Wingzup is consistently excellent. I would be remiss if I did not recognize the service at this restaurant. Wingzup sits in the casual market segment for restaurants, but their customer service is on par with fine dining. Stephanie and Vicki helped me out this time and provided my wife and me with wonderful service. This service was in spite of the restaurant cooking over 5,000 wings for takeout for the big game. It was a constant flow of people picking up orders from a few dozen to a few hundred wings. Despite these drop in guests nobody in the dining room ever waited for anything. I was encouraged to try their grilled wings after my Google review. Customers said they are so good...and they did not lie. I got mine naked and got four sauces to dip them in, plus blue cheese. I loved the Sweet Chili and the Habanero Ranch the first time and got them again. Also the medium Buffalo. Stephanie suggested the Mango Habanero and it was on point. One of the best wing spots in the city! Try the pickle chips and the New York Putines. The Jalapeño Poppers are also great.

Wingzup has been on my list because I've heard some people rank it as the best wings in Austin! I thought it was really good, but I think calling it the best really just depends on your preference. Because it's really good, but I think I'll always prefer Korean fried chicken over the traditional American style wings. That being said, I love how there are so many different styles of wings! I'm used to just seeing traditional and boneless, so things like country style and golden intrigued me. And I already knew grilled and smoked would be good. We ended up sharing the 15 wing sampler tray with 1) country style wings with jalapeño honey mustard 2) golden style wings with raspberry chipotle BBQ and 3) traditional style with lemon pepper. Part of me wishes the wings were tossed in the sauce, but I also really appreciate being able to taste the wings on their own, as certain styles already have a marinade. As well as being able to mix and match sauces and styles. And ensuring maximum crisp on the wings. I really loved the jalapeño honey mustard. But the lemon pepper and raspberry chipotle bbq were both so flavorful too. The golden style was probably my favorite. I almost always prefer fried chicken over any other kind. And this delivered! The batter was so crispy, but also super light. But country style was a close second. But they were all good and juicy, and decently sized! The workers were all super friendly, and while they didn't check in on you much, it was always easy to flag someone down when you needed to. And I think this place is a lot cheaper than other wing or chicken spots.

The wings were pretty good. We got 15 wings with 3 different flavors, an appetizer, and fries. I didn't love the lemon pepper. I could taste the butter over the actual lemon pepper flavor.

If you are looking for a place to kick back, eat wings, and drink beer, this place is definitely your vibe. This is nestled behind GNC in the Hancock Crossing Shopping center. When I walked in I noticed a lot of people were just getting off work or on lunch break. I ordered the 10 piece wing, spicy ranch and lemon pepper with garlic parm fries. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. And I smashed everything. Added bonus you can get your wings smoked or grilled as well. Overall experience, I give it a 4 out of five. I will definitely go back to try the grilled and smoked wings.

OMG, it has been 8 years since I was at Wingzup. My nephew, who was visiting from out of town, called me from Wingzup where they were having a lite snack and asked if I knew Wingzup and before he could hang up the phone, I was walking thru the door.  We had an amazing server, her service was beyond measure. I ordered 10 grilled bone-in wings, 5 tossed in teriyaki sauce and 5 tossed in the Korean sweet chili sauce. There was Ghost pepper sauce on the side that was used very sparingly. It was a great lite snack but there was a need to order an Old Fashioned, for digestive purposes only.  I am definitely not going to wait another 8 years to return and checkout more of the items that I was eyeballin' on the menu and it will be during Happy Hour, indubitably .

Came here for a friends birthday and they took great care of our large group. (We made a reservations/called in advance). I ordered the smoked wings which were really awesome. A friend got the Parmesan garlic wings and they were also really good. This place is known/ranked for their wings and for a good reason. Awesome flavors and good variety.

The skin was incredibly crispy (just how I like it!) and the soy garlic sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory flavor without being overpowering. They definitely didn't skimp on the size either--5 wings was more than enough! I skipped the sides this time because I wanted to focus on the wings, but their onion rings caught my eye, so I'll definitely be back to give those a try. Now...the only downside was the parking. It looked like the front parking lot had been freshly painted because every parking space was blocked off with cones. Everything appeared dry, so I wasn't sure why the cones were still there. That forced everyone to park in the back, which was already super congested. I mentioned it to the staff, but they didn't seem too concerned. Honestly, if I hadn't been determined to try this place--or if it had been any hotter outside or I hadn't gotten lucky finding a parking spot--I probably would've left. Thankfully, the wings made up for the inconvenience! If they can get the parking situation figured out, this spot will be an even better experience. I'll definitely be back...and next time, those onion rings are coming home with me!

I got some sides to go and they were perfectly fried though I'm a bit sad to see a small side of pickled radish just doesn't come with Korean fried chicken (though you can purchase some but I had already bought 2 sides and didn't want to spend $5 for radish). Overall, the folks working there were friendly, my food was good, and I didn't have to wait too long for my food to go.

Ironically, I came on "National Wing Day", so they were running some pretty good specials: $1 Wings (min. 10 wings per order) and $2.50 pints of Dos Equiis. For my sauce, I chose a spicy garlic parmesan (yes, you can mix 2 sauces together) and paired it with dill pickle dusted tater-tots. Wings: they weren't "piping hot " on arrival which was a bit sketchy -- some were even cold to touch (YIKES!). However, most of them were at least a bit warm. Flavor-wise, do I need to go out of my way for wings at Pluckers?? NAH. These wings are decent, but nothing to write home about. Tater Tots came out dill pickle dusted, but they were either fried at a low temperature that they retained oil, or were not properly drained. Either way, they weren't very crunchy, light in color, and all the seasoning was wet and fell off the tots. Overall, unimpressed but still came out somewhat satisfied as I only paid $20 and some change for the whole meal. Not a 3. More like a 3.5. Inside was clean and could probably fit 75pp.

Spicy Boys has four locations in the Austin area, with probably their most popular at Zilker Brewing. They are a spicy chicken establishment and their spicy chicken comes in different shapes and sizes from bone-in fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, and nuggets. I have only ever ordered their fried chicken sandwich and every time, I have been a fan. I always get their middle option in heat, the Hot Gai, which is sandwiched between the OG and the Tingly Gai. It hits every time. The mayonnaise, the pickles, the perfectly crisp chicken: you can't miss it. As a side, I ALWAYS without fail get their Tater Tots. They are consistently crispy while remaining soft on the inside. Sometimes I will get it seasoned with their Tingly Sichuan, but the heat is sometimes too much. I cannot recommend the tots enough. Spicy Boys is one of those places that is always there for you. They are consistently open and the people making the orders are putting a ton of dedication into making them smack every time. The sandwich alone comes at $9.50 with the tots at $3.50, which seems on par or slightly lower than a typical food truck if my memory serves me right. I recommend giving them a shot whether you are at Spokesman in Pflugerville, St. Elmo Brewing, or Zilker off 6th Street. It's in the upper echelon of food trucks. RIYL: peak chicken sammys
