After realizing The Potluck was open until 3:00 a.m., we decided to stop by for a late-evening meal, and we're glad we did! The restaurant was clean, fairly quiet, and we were greeted right away by Siera, who was friendly and welcoming. One thing that really stood out was that we were offered complimentary wing samples while we looked over the menu which was a nice touch, and they were delicious. We ordered two different wing flavors along with an order of fries. Everything tasted fresh, hot, and made to order. Unfortunately, I didn't get the best photos, but that definitely won't stop us from coming back. As an added bonus, the bathrooms were clean, which is always appreciated. Came here late in the AM. I was eyeing the BLUE DREAM, and coming from CALI I had to get this (Was a popular choice too). The buffalo sauce on this is blazin! Probably the best buffalo hot sauce chicken I've had. That all AMERICAN hot sauce. I gotta get used to how sour it is! The fried portion was on point. Good crunch, with good sauce = HITTER! You may think they are a bit pricey, but we compared the prices to a chain like Pluckers and it's the same. Our 1st time there we were given a few samples. All were great. The chicken wings are crispy and flavorful. I received a free sample wing to try while I waited for my food. It was hot and fresh. The dry rub was tangy and spicy, a great combination! I got my food to go. The fries were hot, crispy, and seemed to have a similar seasoning on top. They are crinkle-cut fries and were so good. The presentation was good and the portion size is great. I highly recommend this place! Everything we tried was delicious, and they have a great variety of both wet and dry wings. The Heat Check wings were excellent but definitely fire , and the Dynamite wings are a great dry option--like Garlic Parmesan with a twist. The service was also top-notch. Service was excellent. The only thing is that they advertised $0.50 wings on Instagram, but they don't tell you that you have to buy a side in order to get 6 wings at that price. The sides are between $10 and $15, so we ended up paying $40-something dollars for 12 wings and 2 sides. I didn't mind paying because the quality of the food was so good, but I think they should specify that rule on the advertisement. read more

Ok ok, I recently moved from Atlanta, and craving wings. Potluck came across my IG, so I drove 40 minutes to the riverside location. From the moment I walked in, the staff is sooo welcoming, friendly, especially Eve. She gave me her recommendations and let me tell you, 10/10 on the wings! They were fresh, fried hard, and saucy! I had Loose cannon (fave flavor), WAP (wet garlic parm), and OG ranch (fireee)! I also had the peach cobbler, it's super crusty like most people prefer, and don't forget to get the ice cream. The gumbo, I'll say you have to try it and make your own opinion. All in all, great service, amazing food, and a great spot to come and enjoy good music and wings! I'll start by saying that we really enjoyed our wings! There is clearly validity to the talent and passion for their recipes and flavor profiles. However, I must give a full review on my overall experience. First thing we noticed was that the building was undergoing renovations and there was no AC. There was a portion of the front blocked off/covered and there was a portable AC unit in the dining area. There was no menu posted on the wall. So we grabbed a personal menu, but quickly realized that it only listed dry rubs and we were interested in wet wings. The cashier directed us to check the website for the list of flavors. Seemed very unprofessional/ strange, but we figured it out and proceeded to order. I feel like we asked a lot of questions which clearly indicated that if was our first time in. The cashier tried her best to help us out by asking flavor preferences, but did not offer us any samples. But a couple came in after us and they were offered samples by a different cashier. We are not complaining on this, just noticing inconsistency in practices and procedures. We paid $93 for 30 wings, 1 gumbo, 1 peach cobbler, and 4 cups of ranch. That is a lot of money to not recieve standard condiments with your wings. Each ranch cup was half filled and cost $1.50. The wings were so good I know for a fact they could have taken it to the next level with a homemade ranch but I believe it was store bought. When we arrived there was only one table dining in, 2 to go orders ahead of us and a few online pick ups. I'm not sure if they were short staffed but everyone was waiting a while . We waited more than 50 minutes from ordering to walking out of the restaurant. The cashiers apologized for the wait and offered us drinks to go to help ease the tensions. While we enjoyed our wings, nothing was labeled! And it was hard to tell the dry wings apart since they all relatively looked the same with the ranch type seasoning dusted on top. The rest of our order was not good. The gumbo was thin/watery and it was evident that it was not made with a roux. It was also very salty, and only contained sausage and extremely dry chicken. Definitely did not come as pictured with shrimp and rice (which is why we wanted it). We were bummed and tried to enjoy it but had to throw it out because it was too salty to save! I was particularly excited for the peach cobbler! But upon first bite we realized it was undercooked. The dough was raw and inedible. I was heartbroken. We are in the industry, so we understand being short staffed, long waits, etc. I just wish the food we got was actually edible and worth nearly $100 and a 50 minute wait! We won't be returning, but I do recommend that you stop by to get a wing or two! read more

Customer service was just as disappointing. When we walked in, a girl came from behind a black door looking surprised that someone was even there. I asked her for recommendations and got nothing useful -- and communication was honestly difficult. The restaurant itself wasn't welcoming at all -- no customers, sticky tables, and flies inside. Fast service, sure... but fast doesn't equal good. Only good thing? The chicken underneath all that seasoning was cooked well. But overall, this was a complete waste of gas, money, and time.
