After realizing The Potluck was open until 3:00 a.m., we decided to stop by for a late-evening meal, and we're glad we did! The restaurant was clean, fairly quiet, and we were greeted right away by Siera, who was friendly and welcoming. One thing that really stood out was that we were offered complimentary wing samples while we looked over the menu which was a nice touch, and they were delicious. We ordered two different wing flavors along with an order of fries. Everything tasted fresh, hot, and made to order. Unfortunately, I didn't get the best photos, but that definitely won't stop us from coming back. As an added bonus, the bathrooms were clean, which is always appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience with friendly service, tasty food, and a clean environment. We'll definitely be back!

Came here late in the AM. I was eyeing the BLUE DREAM, and coming from CALI I had to get this (Was a popular choice too). The buffalo sauce on this is blazin! Probably the best buffalo hot sauce chicken I've had. That all AMERICAN hot sauce. I gotta get used to how sour it is! The fried portion was on point. Good crunch, with good sauce = HITTER! Spice level was HOT like Texas heat. No sweat though. The chicken sizes were BIG, but I don't expect nothin small out here. Also the young man was really nice to give food to homeless! God bless.

Potluck wings are now our absolute go to when craving wings in Austin! Hands down the best you will find in Austin. You may think they are a bit pricey, but we compared the prices to a chain like Pluckers and it's the same. Our 1st time there we were given a few samples. All were great. I say try all the flavors at least once and keep track of which ones you like LOL they are all packed with flavor and huge wing size. The fries...ehh I'll pass, buuuut the wings soooo good! Fav flavors so far are the Loose Cannon and Crack. Check them out!

The chicken wings are crispy and flavorful. I received a free sample wing to try while I waited for my food. It was hot and fresh. The dry rub was tangy and spicy, a great combination! I got my food to go. The fries were hot, crispy, and seemed to have a similar seasoning on top. They are crinkle-cut fries and were so good. The presentation was good and the portion size is great. The service was amazing. The women that helped me was super friendly and the free sample wing was a nice touch! The restaurant decor is fun and spacious. I can't wait to return and try other wings!

I highly recommend this place! Everything we tried was delicious, and they have a great variety of both wet and dry wings. The Heat Check wings were excellent but definitely fire , and the Dynamite wings are a great dry option--like Garlic Parmesan with a twist. The service was also top-notch. Service was excellent. The only thing is that they advertised $0.50 wings on Instagram, but they don't tell you that you have to buy a side in order to get 6 wings at that price. The sides are between $10 and $15, so we ended up paying $40-something dollars for 12 wings and 2 sides. I didn't mind paying because the quality of the food was so good, but I think they should specify that rule on the advertisement.

We have been thinking about swinging by the Potluck for some time and we found them on "Too good to go" so we figure today was the day to try them. The staff were super friendly and welcoming when I walked in. The wings were huge and we really enjoyed the flavors. The fry's were great and well seasoned too. We will definitely be back to try all the different flavors they offer.

We tried the truck potluck, and it was so amazing that we had to go to the actual restaurant!!! Annabell was nothing but amazing!!! we noticed their menu is a little bit different than the truck, but nevertheless it was still amazing!! from service to how clean the places it was awesome all around!!

Loose Cannon wings

We were pleasantly surprised. The Loose Cannon Wings along with the Crack Wings and Crack Fries were delicious! Great flavor and great crunch. Not to mention the R&B setting the mood. Highly recommend!

The Potluck is a great establishment! The wings flavors are vast and you can always find something you like! Our first wings were served a little soft so the kitchen redid them and they came out perfect! The staff is super friendly and nice! The ambiance is nice with R&B playing I can see this being a younger hang out spot! Overall I will be back!

Crack. A little bit of everything with zest & lemon. Flavor explosion!

Wow the wings here are next level. Like made in a genius mad scientist's lab of flavors. All the flavors just explode in your mouth!!

food always hits here my favorite wings of all time and always taking care of me !‍my go to spot always!

Loose Cannon

Food was really good! Wings were huge and stayed crispy even with the sauce. Blue Magic definitely had some kick to it and the fries had good seasoning too :)

2-Star Review -- TikTok Set Me Up. I found this place on TikTok and was excited to try it... but honestly, they lied. I drove 30 minutes to pick up the Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice, and three wing flavors -- Hot Girl Stardust, Loose Cannon, and Crack. As soon as we got home and started eating, everything was insanely salty. Me and my husband both felt our blood pressure go up immediately. Not only that, but every single wing looked identical and tasted identical. You couldn't tell one flavor from another because it felt like they just dumped random seasoning all over everything. Customer service was just as disappointing. When we walked in, a girl came from behind a black door looking surprised that someone was even there. I asked her for recommendations and got nothing useful -- and communication was honestly difficult. The restaurant itself wasn't welcoming at all -- no customers, sticky tables, and flies inside. Fast service, sure... but fast doesn't equal good. Only good thing? The chicken underneath all that seasoning was cooked well. But overall, this was a complete waste of gas, money, and time. TikTok had me fooled -- won't be back.

Spicy Boys has four locations in the Austin area, with probably their most popular at Zilker Brewing. They are a spicy chicken establishment and their spicy chicken comes in different shapes and sizes from bone-in fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, and nuggets. I have only ever ordered their fried chicken sandwich and every time, I have been a fan. I always get their middle option in heat, the Hot Gai, which is sandwiched between the OG and the Tingly Gai. It hits every time. The mayonnaise, the pickles, the perfectly crisp chicken: you can't miss it. As a side, I ALWAYS without fail get their Tater Tots. They are consistently crispy while remaining soft on the inside. Sometimes I will get it seasoned with their Tingly Sichuan, but the heat is sometimes too much. I cannot recommend the tots enough. Spicy Boys is one of those places that is always there for you. They are consistently open and the people making the orders are putting a ton of dedication into making them smack every time. The sandwich alone comes at $9.50 with the tots at $3.50, which seems on par or slightly lower than a typical food truck if my memory serves me right. I recommend giving them a shot whether you are at Spokesman in Pflugerville, St. Elmo Brewing, or Zilker off 6th Street. It's in the upper echelon of food trucks. RIYL: peak chicken sammys

When it's busy, they're less talkative but still cool. Like today, a busy NFL Sunday. I was probably the only guy who cared about the Bucs/Jets game. I asked the doorman about it. He quickly grabbed a (I think) manager who quickly found an open TV for me, with an open table in the shade, directly in front of it. It was during brunch (11-3) and I had some amazing chicken wings & waffles with a few beers and a shot, watching my Bucs squeak out a win. It was pretty awesome. It's a fun indoor/outdoor sports bar and I'm lucky to live within walking distance. ;-)

Extremely disappointing service and an experience that left us feeling discriminated against…read more We had been at this bar for about an hour and had already purchased multiple rounds of drinks. As closing time approached, we went to order one last round, which is a completely normal part of going to a bar. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple interaction turned into an extremely uncomfortable experience. The female bartender, a Caucasian woman with black hair in a ponytail wearing a black tank top, had an attitude from the start. While chatting with her coworkers instead of attending to customers, she was approached by my friend, who politely asked for three Mexican candy shots. Her response was, "I guess," with a clear attitude. When my friend asked if she didn't want to make them, she bluntly responded, "I don't." She then refused to make our drinks. A second bartender, a Caucasian man wearing a Texas tank top and a hat, ended up making the shots. When we questioned the unnecessary attitude, he had no explanation and offered no comment. He could clearly see that we were upset, so he proceeded to take a shot with us and say, "Cheers." We never offered to buy him a shot, and taking shots with customers while on the clock raises another concern entirely. What makes this experience particularly troubling is that we observed white patrons being served without any apparent issues or similar attitudes. Meanwhile, we were met with hostility and an outright unwillingness to serve us. As people of color, it's difficult not to question whether our skin color played a role in how we were treated. The difference in treatment left us feeling singled out, unwelcome and discriminated against. This wasn't about being upset over a bar closing or being denied drinks after last call. We understood that closing time was approaching. We had been there for an hour, had already purchased multiple rounds, and were simply trying to order one last round while the bar was still serving customers. There was absolutely no reason for the bartender to speak to us that way or openly refuse to serve us. If you don't want to work in the service industry, perhaps it's time to find another line of work. Basic courtesy and professionalism should be the bare minimum, regardless of who walks through the door. Management needs to take this incident seriously. If this establishment genuinely has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, then there should be meaningful accountability, not just a slap on the wrist. Customers should never have to question whether they'll be treated differently because of the color of their skin. We came here to enjoy ourselves, not to be made to feel unwelcome. This experience has left a lasting impression, and based on how we were treated, I would not feel comfortable returning.

It looked like the front parking lot had been freshly painted because every parking space was blocked off with cones. Everything appeared dry, so I wasn't sure why the cones were still there. That forced everyone to park in the back, which was already super congested. I mentioned it to the staff, but they didn't seem too concerned. Honestly, if I hadn't been determined to try this place--or if it had been any hotter outside or I hadn't gotten lucky finding a parking spot--I probably would've left. Thankfully, the wings made up for the inconvenience! If they can get the parking situation figured out, this spot will be an even better experience.
