I'm sure this 4 stars is of my own design, but I DID toss out a lot of food, so here we are…read more I ordered some garlic parm wings and stupidly garlic parm tots. I didn't realize that I was basically ordering fried chicken and tots with garlic parm sprinkles. The first wing was awesome but the flavor and the "fried-ness" got overwhelming really quickly. I guess if I had ordered in person instead of through the app, the lovely guy in the trailer could have been like, yo, that's too much of the same flavor, you gotta mix it up. But alas, I chose for my self and I got what I got. Everything was delicious. I wish I would have gotten wet wings. And I wish they weren't breaded. But oh well. Very crispy, and the lollipop DOES make them easier to eat.

Atmosphere: Food truck style next to a bar, common sight here in Austin but a great way to enjoy a food and drink. Food: Lollipop style chicken wings. Essentially where the chicken is filleted creating a lollipop appearance. Appearances aside all the flavors here are delicious. I got the garlic parm and one of the original spices. All were breaded perfectly and fried to a nice crisp. They maybe a bit on the pricier side, but the quality of the wings easily justifies. Two servings will most probably fill most people. Service: Very friendly service, and of course the staff will geek with you on any Chris Farley movie, because hey that's why we're here right? Overall, I'd recommend easily if you're in the area. Especially for lollipop style wings.

And wow! Did they add, like, 20 more TV screens to the place?? It felt like we were in a war room. A bit much. Our server was a very nice woman who was on top of our table. We got beers (because: wings) and the fried buffalo wings with the korean fried wings. The buffalo ones were not crispy enough, so that was a bummer, but still, fine. We loved the korean fried ones, but they were more just like mini fried chickens as opposed to the traditional korean version (also, we did not appreciate the sticky sauce that it came out with). Our daughter was happy with her chicken nuggets. The only major party foul was the fact that our waffle fries came out cold, so we asked for new ones, and those were definitely not in the fryer long enough and they were scorching. Basically, we got what we were expecting when we came here. So, hope still springs eternal in the world of wings. Three stars, same same.

I returned last Sunday (Super Bowl Sunday) for lunch to see if my good experience was an anomaly or a pattern. The good news is, Wingzup is consistently excellent. I would be remiss if I did not recognize the service at this restaurant. Wingzup sits in the casual market segment for restaurants, but their customer service is on par with fine dining. Stephanie and Vicki helped me out this time and provided my wife and me with wonderful service. This service was in spite of the restaurant cooking over 5,000 wings for takeout for the big game. It was a constant flow of people picking up orders from a few dozen to a few hundred wings. Despite these drop in guests nobody in the dining room ever waited for anything. I was encouraged to try their grilled wings after my Google review. Customers said they are so good...and they did not lie. I got mine naked and got four sauces to dip them in, plus blue cheese. I loved the Sweet Chili and the Habanero Ranch the first time and got them again. Also the medium Buffalo. Stephanie suggested the Mango Habanero and it was on point. One of the best wing spots in the city! Try the pickle chips and the New York Putines. The Jalapeño Poppers are also great.

The restaurant is clean and spacious and you order by scanning a QR code. The waitress was friendly and she brought us water fairly quickly. The garlic Parmesan fries are a must order and they were expertly fried and had a spectacular crunch and texture. The garlic was very balanced and not overwhelming, and they were super generous with the amount of Parmesan. The chicken wings were also equally amazing with a super crunchy, light batter, well seasoned chicken and the sauces were delectable. I really liked the honey garlic Parmesan because it is unique and not something I've had before. The sweet soy was also nicely balanced and paired well with the wings. The Ruma's chicken crispy pops was good, but I wish the pieces of chicken were slightly bigger so that the ratio of batter to chicken would be less overwhelming. The sauce was more sweet than spicy and it would have been better if they added a Mala spice component. My diagnosis: come here for exceptional Korean wings and craveable garlic fries

First time trying Donkey MO's and I was so surprised how good it was... even for take out delivery! I ordered the 10 Wings combo with French fries . The wings was super crispy and still hot! The plain French fries was good but nothing special. It paired well with the wings and to dip it in the wing sauces. Flavors Soy Garlic: super delicious! Highly recommend! and holy donkey : my gawdddddd I died eating this! It was so freaking spicy I couldn't feel my mouth, started sweating immediately, and my stomach was turning. Somehow it was addictive and I was able to eat 2 before surrendering. This wing sauce is definitely for those who love spicy. it's hot! And that is coming from a person that can eat somewhat medium spicy. Do I recommend this place? I definitely want to try this place in person instead of take out. It was really good and I feel the wings were good size and the perfect amount of crispy even being coated with sauce. It's good! I definitely recommend this place ! If take out was great .. I'm sure sitting down at the restaurant and eating will be even greater!

Then menu itself was a bit confusing, so when one of us asked if it was possible, when ordering 10 pieces, to get 5 wings and 5 nuggets, she said YES. So, when we proceeded to order that way, she got all flustered and was like, no, no, no you can't do that! Oh, and then when we asked about any of our dishes coming with sides, only *then* did she suggest that we turn it into a combo. So, yeah, welcome to AI generation! (Needless to say, the two kids working were both on their phones a ton the whole time that we were there.) *It was cold outside and the A/C was on, so it was freezing. *Re. the K-Buffalo sauce: nothing very K about it! It was straight buffalo sauce. *Charging for a side of ranch sauce that clearly tasted like it came out of a bottle? Seriously? Lame-o. Other than the above complaints, we actually really liked this place. The vibe is chill and, as aforementioned, we enjoyed most of the food. The dumplings are 100% not homemade, but they toss them in a decent sauce so they can be more palatable (we would skip those). The fries are nice and crispy, and the brussels sprouts are excellent. So, so good, and a decent amount as well. The radishes are the typical ones you get at these joints, and they are a must. As for the main star, the chicken, it was as it should be: with shattering layers of breading and hot meat on the inside. The coating was almost a bit too thick, though. We liked the soy garlic sauce and just wished there was some actual Korean aspect to the buffalo. Prices were consistent with portions, and they do have respectable beers on draft. We have some quibbles, yes, so it's 3 stars for now, but we'll definitely be back because it's close to home and will hopefully have a more overall impressive experience next time.

Only one of the two bags had crayons which, intentional or not, is great for two kids to share. Moss didn't start growing on me but the food took just long enough to arrive to be noticably long- especially when the orders were basic garden salads, wings, and a burger, when the restaurant was at about 55% occupied tables. Our burger also cooled considerably while we waiting for a knife to brought to us. Maybe service is slower at the outdoor space. However, the covered patio here has cute walls such as a 'grammable "i love wings so much" in the style of the popular "i love you so much" wall art off South Congress, and faux grass floor for perennial spring picnic vibes. It's also not as cacophonous as the inside of want to have normal level conversations. Game watching experience is ok. The poorly hung four screen wall at the far end gives a bit of a distorted view. If you're here to watch a particular event, choose your seats carefully. Our food was solid.I love that they have Sriracha ketchup. My side garden salad was basically a full size portion. We ordered "real" food for the kids as their kids menu was the basic American standard of unhealthies of the grilled cheese/corn dog/chicken tenders ilk. Why can't restaurants just make kid portions of everything, instead of a kids menu that makes kids think those are the only things they should be eating? That's grooming for an unhealthy future yes? Speaking of unhealthy future the doggie bag containers are styrofoam. Yipes. Service was fair. Our server was was great. When we asked someone else for a knife it took 15+ minutes. Three stalls in the Chicks room with a faucet that's too close to the sink wall, which makes it awkward for hand washing. I always think of the staff. Overall an elevated wings/sports bar spot good for groups of all sizes and vibes by UT.

He looked at me and rolled his eyes and walked past us multiple times. As someone who works in this service industry that behavior is definitely unacceptable. Spicy Boys has four locations in the Austin area, with probably their most popular at Zilker Brewing. They are a spicy chicken establishment and their spicy chicken comes in different shapes and sizes from bone-in fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, and nuggets. I have only ever ordered their fried chicken sandwich and every time, I have been a fan. I always get their middle option in heat, the Hot Gai, which is sandwiched between the OG and the Tingly Gai. It hits every time. The mayonnaise, the pickles, the perfectly crisp chicken: you can't miss it. As a side, I ALWAYS without fail get their Tater Tots. They are consistently crispy while remaining soft on the inside. Sometimes I will get it seasoned with their Tingly Sichuan, but the heat is sometimes too much. I cannot recommend the tots enough. Spicy Boys is one of those places that is always there for you. They are consistently open and the people making the orders are putting a ton of dedication into making them smack every time. The sandwich alone comes at $9.50 with the tots at $3.50, which seems on par or slightly lower than a typical food truck if my memory serves me right. I recommend giving them a shot whether you are at Spokesman in Pflugerville, St. Elmo Brewing, or Zilker off 6th Street. It's in the upper echelon of food trucks. RIYL: peak chicken sammys
