Unfortunately they just changed the breading and the size on their boneless wings. They were, at one time, chicken strips with a thick, crisp breading that held tons of sauce. Now they now look like Chicken McNuggets and have a thin breading that's red, but not saucy. What sauce they hold is still hood, so 2 stars. I don't know why they felt a need to change. The Rasta is a dry rub now. The boneless strips are now freezer nuggets... I may check back in a month to see if they've come to their senses. GOING WILD FOR WING WEDNESDAY'S!!! I've been here three times, all on Wednesday's for unlimited wings (or as I call it: training for the 7 Alarm Challenge)! The service here is understandably slow on WW, so be patient and order more wings before you finish your current portion. They're served 12 at first and then 6 at a time; the staff does a good job to reminding you to order before you finish. My little tip is to order really spicy wings and very mild wings so you can give your taste buds some respite... helps you pack more in! Also, if you want a side - check out the waffle fries. I recommend: - the 5 Alarm - the 6 Alarm (it's much spicier than 5... makes me nervous between the difference of the 6 and 7!) - Chipotle - Honey Mustard My only complaint is that $17.99 for unlimited wings is misleading since you MUST purchase a drink to get this deal. I like the unlimited refills on the Arnold Palmer I get, but I'd prefer to just drink water and keep my bill under $20+tip like we're lead to believe! Wings were very small, sauces were good (4alarm & buffalo). Wings were also cold when brought out to us as if they had been sitting out for a while. Fries were also cold and had no taste. Wingdome has a decent menu and a great burger, and of course, chicken wings. However, they are not marketing correctly, which hurts both us as customers and the business. First of all, they have a great price during happy hour--2:00 to 4:00--$3.99. But no take out. You cannot take your chicken home. To do that, you have to pay full price, which is $10 a pound, very expensive, given that you only get six or seven wings for that price. That is a rip off, considering 3/4 of the weight of what you are buying is inedible bone. This is a serious setback to the business. What Wingdome needs to do is have a party bucket. A lunch crowd bucket, whatever you want to call it. Four pounds, $20.00 out the door. Or have different sizes, like six pounds, $27.99 and ten pounds $33.95. Something you can take back to the office or home and share with. I get it, I know, they want you to stay there and buy other things too like beer and soft drinks and the more expensive sandwiches. Right down the street, 7-11 has a combination of chicken wings and drumsticks that are very tasty and much more affordable. For example, 10-piece for $6.99 and 20-piece for $11.99 in any one or mix of five flavors: spicy, BBQ, ranch, crunchy or plain. So for $25 at 7-11 you can get 40 pieces of both drumsticks and wings that can satisfy the whole office and lets you take out without "penalizing" you. A much better deal than Wingdome. Until Wingdome has this competitively-priced bulk option, they're never going to be as popular or as profitable as they would like. Wingdome is competing with 7-11, the deli at Safeway, Fred Meyer, Albertson's, even Costco--and those are actually pretty decent chicken deals also, having not just wings, but little drumsticks and thighs, too--chicken with more meat than bone. So, no more Wingdome for me. Overpriced and over-hyped. No offense. read more

So it's been nearly a decade since I first discovered this place and there have been a few changes, so it's worth updating my review. I no longer live in the Greenwood neighborhood, but I still go out of my way on a nearly weekly basis to get my wing fix here. Nearly every Monday I take the bus over to Greenwood and take advantage of their Monday promotion - $6.99 orders of wings. All-You-Can-Eat Wednesdays are also a fantastic deal, but the place is usually PACKED. So I prefer Mondays. My standard order here is a small salad, 2-4 orders of wings and 2 or 3 22oz Wing Dome Lagers. I then take a Lyft home and lay on the couch with an overstuffed tummy regretting all of my decisions, and then I return the next week to repeat the entire experience. If you're going for a more traditional spicy wing sauce, you will probably be best off starting with a 4 Alarm. If you like a good strong amount of heat, go for the 5 Alarm. It's a bit of a leap in heat level between the 4 and the 5, so don't say I didn't warn you. Me on the other hand, I live for the 6 Alarm Sauce. If you thought the leap between 4 and 5 was hard, wait until you try the 6 Alarm. It should only be attempted by somebody who is ready to be challenged and ready to sweat. And I love every minute of it! Now, as some may know, the numerical "Alarm" list does not end there. There is also the "7 Alarm Wing", which is probably the spiciest food item available anywhere in Seattle. You can order a single 7 Alarm Wing for a couple bucks and give it a shot. You might even be able to finish the wing before the heat starts to kick in. But then it will kick in. And you will probably be feeling it for the next 20-30 minutes. (And then again the next morning...) Now if you are a true glutton for punishment, you can also attempt the 7 Alarm Challenge where you have to eat 7 of them in 7 minutes without the aid of beverages or napkins. Not only do you have to finish the wings though, you have to eat ALL of the sauce on the plate. And they seriously pour it on heavy. If you succeed you get a shirt and your picture on the wall. Whether you win or lose though, you should clear any plans you have for the rest of the evening. Nothing can really prepare you for the stomach ache that will be upon you. Trust me. Anyways! Back to the good stuff! The other non-Alarm sauces are fantastic as well! I usually order some Honey Mustard or Bigger Badder Cheese wings to pair with my 6 Alarms. The Chipotle is another delicious sauce with a nice kick to it. They even have some Frank's Red Hot on the menu for those who want to keep it safe and familiar. You can also order a side of any of the sauces, so if there's one you were wanting to give a try without committing to an entire order of wings, there's always that option. The burgers and salads on the menu are all decent as well if you have somebody tagging along who doesn't like wings. Boneless "wings" are also an option for those with a weak work ethic ;-) But it would seriously be a shame to come here and not enjoy the wings. So after a decade I am proud to still call myself a regular customer here! And until either my work schedule or their daily promotion changes, I will keep on coming back every Monday for more. read more

Blech! I don't get the hype here for "Wing Wednesday" at all. I'm not a hardcore wings fan, but I do enjoy them from time to time, especially if they are going to have an "all-you-can-eat" special, like on Wednesdays. I was really disappointed from start to finish with this place. My friend and I had to basically take turns with my monster 1-year-old son, because the establishment only had three highchairs for the entire restaurant, which were all full for 90% of the time we were there. I know I'm not the brightest tool in the shed, either, but I was thoroughly confused by the waitress attempting to explain how the all-you-can-eat wings worked to us. Something about you both have to order wings special or be scolded if you try to eat off the other person's plate?! Come on. The Arnold Palmers my friend and I ordered tasted like a mixture of dirty dish water and fake carbonated lemonade/iced tea. One basket of wings we ordered actually came out bloody in the center, uncooked and nasty, which was FOUL. Plus, the flavors were just meh. The wings that you can order from Pizza Hut tasted better than these. The BBQ sauce they use on a Western Bacon Cheeseburger at Carl's Jr. has more flavor. And the 3 alarm was just oily and flavorless. And don't get me started on the garlic flavor. *shudders* And why not cut the wings so that they are easier to eat? After about 45 minutes our wings had not shown up. I figured they forgot so I went up to close out. I was asked how it was and when I said we never got the wings (main item, wings from a wing place) the reply from the server was "oh, the wings did not get entered in the system." Handed me the bill for the rest. There was no "sorry about that" or "do you to order them now?" Or "do you want to get them to go?" Let's start with our service- Our server had zero personality, barely spoke to us, we had to get up to ask for things like new plates and water. Wing Dome is your standard wings, beer, and sportsball place. At normal times, beers are about six dollars and a pound of wings is 10. Add on 5 bucks to that and you get a plate of salad and a basket of fries or tots. I'd recommend making your plate of wings into a combo with the salad and tots, because otherwise you probably won't be satisfied. The tots are pretty nice, and the portions on those sides are generous. Now I'm a verified wing fiend, and I have never met a wing I didn't like, but does that really apply if only one piece of my "pound of wings" is actually a wing? Yes, you heard right--of my entire pound of wings, only one piece of chicken was a wing, and the rest were drumsticks. I'm not hating on drumsticks, but they're not really the best in this context because the meat on these ones gets kind of tough and dry, approaching the texture of jerky. Plus, if you go to a wing place, you want more than one wing...that seems obvious. The 4 alarm sauce is delicious, I will give them that. But for ten dollars, I don't think it was really worth it. Maybe I'd come back for wings during their progressive happy hour, which is a pretty good deal, but otherwise, I think I'll look for other places to get my wing fix. read more

As a long-time fan of Wing Dome, I was disappointed this week to see that they were not enforcing mask-wearing rules. There were people waiting to be seated inside the entry - without masks, and several people going to and from the restrooms - without masks. Since it is State Law that masks be worn inside businesses, I would expect wing Dome management to require that their patrons comply. I don't want to be forced to eliminate Wing Dome from our short list of safe / compliant inside dining options during Covid-19. read more

Finally some decent wings in Seattle! My credentials: I spent a summer in Buffalo, NY many years ago and became obsessed with Buffalo wings. I lived in Chicago for 13 years and had access to some amazing, award winning (wing fest) wings. Now that I'm in Seattle, despite my best efforts, haven't found a good wing. I got an order of wings with 3 alarm sauce (out of 7, which is a literal challenge apparently). The sauce wasn't a classic buffalo like I prefer, but it still tasted fantastic and had a very subtle heat. The bleu cheese appeared house made (not totally sure on that) and delicious. I think the normal price of 7 wings for $10 is waaaaaay too much for any wings. Even the Monday wing special has you paying $1 per wing, which is still too much. (I've been spoiled with 10 and 25 cent wing specials in Chicago). Happy hour wings are much more reasonable, you can get an order of 7 for $5 between 2-3pm, which is reasonable. read more

Seriously, after having wings from my friend, Sandy L and a guy I used to date, Wing Dome is weak. But, my sister picked this place to do my half-marathon pre-funk! Location: Located in Greenwood / Phinney Area. It's easy to find. But, parking is not easy. You have to park on the neighborhood streets. I wasn't struggling with finding a spot. But, I was struggling parallel parking on the hill (it was raining at the time too) Decor: GREASY! I feels like a dive/sport bar. But, they allow kids. Some tables against the window, bar seating area, and outdoor seating area. Nothing really fancy. What I love about was their TV, big and clear. I was able to watch sports while my sister was talking something I was not into. Food: I wonder where they bought their wings from. Very very small wings. Someone needs to feed those chicken properly! I thought the wings were dry. The sauce for the wings were ok. Nothing is really outstanding! We also had sweet potato fries. Being from Buffalo, I consider myself a bit of a wing snob. Everyone I've asked in Seattle said that Wing Dome has the best and most similar wings to home. We decided to give this place a try tonight. First off, I understand pricing in Seattle is a bit more than most other places but 7 wings for $9.99? A bit pricey but I'll give it a try since they're supposed to be the best. I ordered the 3 alarm, 'the most popular' according to the menu. We also ordered a basket of waffle fries to accompany these. The fries arrived first and ended up being normal, seasoned waffle fries; nothing too special. A few minutes later, the wings arrived. The first thing I noticed was how small the wings were! I'm not sure what type of chickens these came from. The length of my pinky finger was longer than the wing (and I don't have big hands). Next up was the sauce (or lack thereof). The sauce had a very peppery flavor (pepper as in salt and pepper) and there was very little of it on the wings. I enjoy my wings saucy and with more flavor. Despite them being small and only 7, they seemed to take a long time to get down because honestly, they just weren't that good. Sorry Wing Dome! We used to be a big fan and came here all the time. The servers were ok, except one woman that seemed to hate us, but we got along great with everyone else, especially David. I was even the Four Square Mayor for awhile. I have about $20 on my loyalty card too! But I feel like they burned me today for the pickup order during the playoff game. They just changed their pricing structure to $8.99 per pound. That sounded great, because sometimes we would get some dinky wings before. I thought they were trying to make it more fair for the customer because only God is responsible for dinky wings. However, I picked up 2 pounds to bring home for the playoff game and was shocked their was only 12 wings in the box. I weighed it on a kitchen scale and it was 1 lb 2 oz. (I uploaded a picture, though I assume it will get pulled down.) I thought they had given me 1 pound by mistake so I called and Jill said "Did you get 12 wings? Well that is correct. There are 6 wings per pound so you got 2 pounds." I argued and said it only weighed a bit over 1 pound and she replied with, "I don't know what to tell you." Even if it was based on precooked weight there is no way you can cook off 50% of the weight of a wing. (I am guessing on that.) Hello!! We are poultry-crazed and ravenous. Then he had the nerve to get all ruffled up when we asked for our bill early because we wanted to get somewhere after. 2 hours should be ample time for wings ... apparently not. But with that aside, these wings are mighty dang delicious. We ordered NINETY (90!!!) wings for 6 people and it was a feat to behold. 4 alarm was the ideal level of spiciness but could have gone even higher. Chipotle is a smoky bbq flavor, triple garlic is exactly that and slightly sweet which was a nice change and the Parmesan? Not really my cuppa tea.
