It's been a while since we ordered from here so it's no longer one chicken choice, but you can get crispy or grilled and your fries can be extra crispy! Unfortunately ordering online you can't add notes so I was unable to get pickles on the side- only on sandwich or not at all. Two original sandwiches + two fries was $30.46 which is roughly $3 more than the last time we came (2 years ago). Still four stars only because of the two crispy chicken sandwiches I ordered this time one was thicker and a bit oddly pink colored from the tendon. Bleh. If I can give them negative stars, I would. I ordered for pick up by phone app. I went into the store and there was absolutely nobody. No customers, and nobody was working. This was Thursday around 3:30pm. Music was on. I said "Excuse me" and "Hello" 3 times but nobody. So I decided to call while I'm standing right by the counter. Their phone was ringing but nobody came to answer the phone I yelled "Hello" one more time, then a young woman popped up in the kitchen which was like 5 feet from me. There was no way she couldn't hear me. She was sitting in the kitchen with her phone. Then this guy came out from the back. I said "I yelled at least 3 times" he said "I only heard once. here's your order have a nice day" and left. He literally stormed in and gave me two bags. Didn't even stop and he left me right away. Finally realized the bread used for Shaq snacks is Texas toast. I couldn't even tell this with my first one (the smokeshow) because it was so squished and didn't taste like garlic (overpowered by the coleslaw and ancho sauce). The el shaqito might be my favorite one because everything worked very well together. I like corn/elote, so that probably helps. First off - the chicken sandwiches were yum. We ordered 2 'Shaq Attacks' (future marketing idea: "Shaq Attaq"!). One sandwich had ranch replacing bbq sauce, American cheese replacing pepper jack cheese and add pickles. The other Shaq Attack just had add pickles. The reason I mention all these details will become clear. Also ordered the 'dirty fries' which are crinkle fries with cheese sauce, bacon, banana peppers and chipotle bbq sauce. Good things: + perfectly cooked chicken and tasty too + clean gender neutral restrooms + paper towels on the tables (great idea!) + dirty fries is a clever idea - sort of like an American poutine + kiosk ordering is excellent Things that could use help - if people order two similar orders, LABEL WHICH IS WHICH PLEASE - buns could be bigger - crinkle fries seemed like the most generic frozen fries you could ever imagine - [very minor] coleslaw on the chicken really cools down the meat - would be nice if you used recyclable products and/or provided a compost/recyle/trash bin rather than a generic trash bin for all. Let's start with the customer service definitely a one star but that's because that's as low as I can go. The lady at the cash register was not knowledgeable. And actually, she was sort of rude because she didn't want to do any substitutions, even though we paid extra for them. The macaroni and cheese is probably the worst macaroni and cheese I ever ate the coleslaw zero flavor. I think they mixed it with water. The chicken was actually fresh. If they would've gave us three whole pieces instead of a mini piece it probably would've been better. The bread wasn't bad. And $15 for three tenders and disgusting sides definitely not worth it does not include a drink and they were out of half of the menu items. The chicken is fresh, hot, crispy, and juicy when you order it. So we should lead with that. When a restaurant only has one type of protein option and they do it well that's always encouraging! So I will say that this is a good spot if you're a fried chicken fanatic. I also thought I would include that the restaurant is rather clean, lots of parking and looks like it will be a part of a really cool little area once it gets a little bit more developed. The real reason I'm on here is complement the service! Staff seem to be on point, and the people who are in the back look friendly as they are smiling through the kitchen window. I interacted with a manager or sales front of house, person named Erika she went above and beyond to offer a great service. Congratulations on the opening, the place looks really inviting. I was curious what new food spot was going in near Westminister & 155th, near Town & Country - Shoreline. Finally, decided to check it out for dinner time takeout (6/6/24). One can order via the app, one of two touchscreen kiosks or from the counter person. It sure became busier as most of the indoor seating was occupied. There's also outdoor patio seating too. Two Originals (no crinkle fries or beverages) with tax & tip were under $22. It was a chicken patty with pickle slices, sauce, in a bun. It was okay, but the chicken sandwiches at Milk Drunk over in Seattle's Beacon Hill are much more preferred. 3.5 rounded to a 4. Big Chicken, locally owned and operated. We stumbled across this place! New to the Landing, it's Shaq's chain and it's fabulous!! The staff is friendly, helpful and quick to bring your food! We ordered 5 piece wing combo, I got jalapeños slaw my hubby ordered fries. The slaw was bursting with flavor!! It looks daunting but close your eyes take a bite and be wowed with a combination of pickled jalapeños and sweet flavors!! What a win! The fries are perfect- Crinkle cut, hot and just the right combo of crunch and salty satisfaction! The wings had crisp coating with juicy moist chicken! We chose Nashville hot rub and naked wings. Ate at the one in Renton and this one in shoreline both the sandwiches was still to the table and I mean hot , differences Renton had sweet potatoes fries and shoreline didn't offer it, for me it didn't filled me up I order the first thing on the menu since that what they are know for and wanted people to try, but if I wanted a hot chicken sandwich in a clean place this would be it, for some reason "big chicken" I thought they would have like 3 or 4 pieces of chicken, I didn't see just sandwiches, fires and shakes. Just tried Big Chicken for the first time. Customer service was excellent, especially for the Seattle area with very cold customer service often times. Handmade milkshakes were crazy good. If calories weren't an issue I'd have their peanut butter chip shake every day! Chicken tenders were juicy and delicious. Definitely did not taste like frozen tenders out of a bag. I've been to the big chicken before in Renton and it was alright but I wanted to see how this location was especially since its so close to where I live. I wanna say that the food was actually super fresh, I got the Uncle Jerome's and it was the perfect amount of spicy not too much or too little. The chicken was super juicy and crispy, lettuce tasted nice and crunchy. The service was excellent too, everyone was super nice and it looked like everyone was having fun working and genuinely wished and tried to make my experience the best it could be. They were fast and efficient, place was very clean everything looked nice. I went on the third day that it opened so they might just be on good behaviour for good business but if they can keep up this kind of quality and service it's a 5/5 must eat! I really dig the is place. The food is solid, the staff is friendly and well trained. And they have a well rounded sense of urgency and a good amount of respect for people's time. I had one order mishap and gave an honest review about my disappointment when it happened...and the staff reached out to me about it and two weeks later, the next time I came in: made things right with the supplying free things left off the last order. Just in general: I appreciate it. I don't think I would have like stopped coming here if I had one bad order... but at the time it was dreadfully disappointing. While the Mac and cheese was good and seasoned well, the original chicken itself is bland unless you dip it into a lot of sauce. The coleslaw is also bland. To start off, the chicken is good, crispy and fairly juicy, large fries is definitely bang for your buck compared to other places, but everything else is too pricey like the sauce, (just ask for one instead of buying online), Mac n Cheese, and for sure the large drink which ain't that large. Would I go here again? Prob not. But if you got the money, definitely try it, but if you got patience, just go to Dave's Hot Chicken, or better yet, Wingstop or Popeyes. I decided to try this place, but probably would not return. The positives were, it is clean, the staff was friendly, my side of fries was fine. The main disappointment was their signature menu item, the chicken sandwich. It might have been crispy, but I had sauce, lettuce, tomato on mine, and the sandwich became more of a soggy experience. The biggest problem Is the chicken breast they use. And perhaps this isn't all their fault but lately chicken growers are producing these very tough firm chicken breasts. Apparently this is a result of some sort of breeding them to bulk them up faster (look it up)! Anyway, the result is firm, dense chicken breasts that are like gnawing on a truck tire.
