Whoa! Now this is what a burger should be. The ugly burger is hands down a fantastic choice. My wife had the cheeseburger and really enjoyed the portion. The burgers are flame grilled using fresh meat, not frozen patties. Mill shakes are made with real ice cream, not soft serve and are so thick you can eat it with a fork. 4 burgers $10-12 each, onion rings, tater tots, fried pickles are $6 each, milkshake $7, 1 pop $3 and 1 bottled water $3 was $77 before tax. A little steep but not bad for 4 people. There's only about 6 tables in the store and it's busy at 7pm so you might need to wait for a table. Good luck. This place opened in Jan 2026 and is impo one of the best burger places around right now. Completely blown away by this place. One of the best burgers I've ever had, certainly the best I've had around Seattle so far though I'll admit I haven't hit that many spots for this particularly yet. Lots of parking in front and around, not much seating room inside (4 tables?). Staff was just two folks, the cook and a cashier I believe, but they were very cool and friendly. I just got a simple cheeseburger with everything on it and the ratios were perfect, wouldn't change or add a thing really. You can tell from the picture how INSANELY juicy and buttery this burger was and oh man did it hit the spot. The fries were that perfect old school local non-descript burger spot style too I love, with a craggely thin yellow breading over basically mashed potato insides. Yum!! This will be our new go-to spot for burgers. We tried a little bit of everything- the mushroom burger, fries, frickles (fried pickles), onion rings, and the vanilla shake. Best burger I've had for awhile!! It's a smash burger and is amazing without being overly greasy. All the sides were good but their fries were my fav out of everything. Get their ugly sauce to dip your stuff in! They don't accept orders ahead of time, so you have to order there and wait. Expect a bit of a wait if you go on the weekends on during dinner time. There's a few tables inside but overall it's a pretty small place. They've only been there about a month or 2 but hopefully they'll start accepting orders online eventually! read more

After being home bound for nearly a week, on crutches, and despite the pouring rain, The Homie and I stopped by Ugly Burger for a first visit (2/23/26). Ugly Burger shares a common parking lot with a nearby Mexican restaurant, mini mart, and massage/spa businesses. There's also an adjacent gravel lot parallel to Ballinger. Interior is bright and clean with onsite seating along the perimeter of the restaurant. I liked the healthy orchids too. The menu had a nice variety of burgers, sides, other fried goods like fish & chips and chicken strips, fountain drinks, and the basic milkshake flavors of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Counter service was pleasant. The Homie ordered a double cheeseburger and large strawberry milkshake. I had a cheeseburger and regular chocolate milkshake. We shared a five piece order of mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce. We decided to dine onsite and it was good to hear that the milkshakes were freshly hand spun. They were pretty thick and tasty. The rest of the order was ready shortly thereafter. Definitely fresh and ugly when unwrapped. Generous tomato, lettuce, red onions, pickles, and ugly sauce. Nicely prepped smash patties with melty cheese. All barely held by a dented, squishy potato bun. Messy as heck, but that's what napkins are for! Wished though that dining onsite, there was the ability to sort recycle and compost. Whether onsite or takeout, all orders are handed over in a paper bag. Looking at what we tossed, most could have been recycled or composted (except the straws) to reduce their garbage load. Spot on deliciousness and reasonably priced compared to other local burger sites and larger chains. Saw the business signage much earlier driving to Bothell via Lake Forest Park, but appreciate the previous Yelp posts that put this on our radar screen. Definitely recommended! read more

I hate to give a bad review to a local place that seems to be doing its best, but . . . The burger was tasty, but nothing special. First, it was a gloppy mess. After two bites, I was left with a pile of slop that I wound up eating with a knife and fork. The meat patty was thin and even though not overcooked, was tough and not juicy. Also, it was not hot. At all. The bacon, cheese, bun, sauce, and vegetables were all excellent, but the bun could not hold up and fell apart rapidly. The fries were dreadful. At some point, potatoes may have been involved in their production, but there was little evidence of that. Service was friendly and cheerful and the space was clean and welcoming. Man this place is over hyped. First off: employees don't know their menu or just lie. I asked if the Sriracha sauce contained mayo, they said no. It does. So I ended up having to wipe it all off. Second: the burger with no pickles had pickles. A different burger didn't have pickles. Rough Third: their garlic fries use nasty jarlic instead of fresh stuff. It tainted what seemed like they woulda been good fries and tots by making them slimy and kinda gross. Their ugly sauce has a LOT of mustard. Like, more mustard than any other ingredient. If you like mustard, cool. If you don't (like both people who ordered burgers with ugly sauce) it's overpowering. The one food goodish thing was the fried pickles, but even those weren't amazing. I really think non-jarlic fries/tots would have been the play. The shakes were decent, but a lot of ice chunks were in it, which is odd for a milkshake.
