Went with best burger place in the area...EJ Burger was the spot. So here we are!! Overall quaint little place, clean and very nice staff!! We tried the Bulgogi burger, Hawaiian burger, and Battered fries. This was overwhelmingly delicious. The Bulgogi burger had amazing flavor. It could've used a little more sauce, but OMG delicious. The Hawaiian burger was also very good. The pineapple could've been slightly warmer or grilled to add a little extra flavor. But would order both of these again in a heartbeat. The batter fries were amazing, try them with the fry sauce. This was very good. The staff was so polite and customer service was amazing. Overall great!! I like the variety of burgers and they are pretty tasty, but the buns are so thick it kind of takes away from the rest of the burger. We have ordered to go and sat inside before. Very minimal setup for seating as in a few long communal type tables with basic stacking chairs. About a year later, gave EJ Burger another try. I would say that it is average but nothing to write home about. The soda machine was out of syrup for Diet Coke so when I went to fill my drink it was mainly all water. Ordering via their website incurred a $2 convenience fee. The service for pickup was prompt upon arrival. The burgers were super saucy which made them a bit wet for take out by the time we got home. I think they changed their fries, as they were different than when we last visited. They appear to be maybe breaded now? I will say the peanut butter milkshake was delicious and I would come back again just for a shake! read more

Review for this place were high, so expectation were also high. Lets jump in. Came here with 4 friends on a Friday night. It was about 40 degrees outside, and not much warmer inside. They had a space heater near the register, but stop being cheap and use your furnace. Everyone talked about how cold it was, but we were anticipating the food. Service was slow, in addition to our meals, we ordered a couple milkshakes. They took a legit10 minutes or more to make. It was ice cream and Oreo, that should have been 2 minutes tops. We had 3 burgers, a grilled cheese and chicken tenders. I had the tenders, they were large, hot and unfortunately, not flavorful. I don't think the chicken was marinaded and was bland. The fries were also barely warm and not cooked crisp. My friends said the burgers were good and the sauce was zesty, so I will take their word on that. I have no patience for cheap people. This was a nice neighborhood and if saving a few bucks on your heating bill causes folks to be uncomfortable, you are losing money and earning a review I'm sure you would rather not have published. Noooo!! Another good food place around here bites the dust in quality. I use to frequent this place for years back to its "happy hour" days. The owners were short with customer service, the seafood options were bad, but nothing and no other place beat their burgers and fries, especially their exclusive seasoned battered fries so it was worth it. Their burgers were pretty expensive but came with fries so it was decent. Prices increased even more during pandemic and never went down. It got to like 18$ for a California burger with fries but oh man their burger ingredient were top tier, thick bacon and big slices of avocado real cheese and perfect thick burger patty on a premium bun. The fries were the most delicious ever. No way could I resist to not eat the whole bag. Hot crispy and fresh. After a break I called in to make a pickup order and they said fries are not included anymore, but the prices are still somewhat close to what they used to be now you have to buy them on the side, so I said never mind then. To make matters worse now I see the quality of burger ingredients have went down and the fries have changed!! An earlier review showed a picture of plain potato fries. The 5 star review I gave long ago told the owners not to change a damn thing with ingredients or it will ruin the place. No one wants plain cut potatoes fried with no flavor and a bunch of salt. Could only get those old battered seasoned fries there and now they're gone. An old combo here used to be pricy but worth it for an exclusive delicious treat. Now it's ruined, just like how Culaccinos switched their pizza ingredients to way cheaper quality and frozen crust and now it's ruined and now no longer frequent either place. Anyone can get a burger anywhere but they used to be real style premium here with the best fries you've ever had. I ordered a beef katsu burger and the beef part was like rubber, I swear I couldn't even tear a bite it was so bad. I'm very anxious about complaining but as it was inedible I tried to talk to the counter lady about it and she just said that's how it's supposed to be and the chicken katsu is better and I should have ordered that. They did give me just a replacement regular burger, which was good. All past experiences were good, but I guess just stay away from the katsu stuff. read more

We've been eating here for awhile now and each time pretty much the same experience each time. 1. Big burgers. 2. Hot Fries. 3. Reasonable wait time. 4. Always leave there full or with a take out box. I would say prices are on par with most, but you definitely get what you pay for, especially when fries are included with a burger. Those places that charge similar prices but fries are extra? Seriously shady. As for the burgers themselves, they are damn tasty and big! The pork katsu burger I ordered was stacked (as all the burgers are here) with two patties and some fillers. And the fries, yeah, most places I've eaten the fries are either warm to kinda warm. At EJ's we've always gotten them HOT! So definitely made to order, just like their burgers. While not fancy schmancy, the place has tasteful decor, ample seating and an easy to read menu that's just big enough to make you think but not so big that it's overwhelming and it takes forever to make a decision. What's also nice is the windows are tinted so in the evening when cars drive up you don't get blinded by headlights. On the other hand from the outside it looks dark inside. If it were not for the OPEN sign you'd think they were closed. So bottom line, it's been one of our local goto for years. Cons; pretty pricey for a burger and fries ( make sure you see the updated menu picts) On the mixed side, the sandwiches are giant. You might think that can only be good....but my wife's katsu burger was so big, she couldn't handle it much less eat it without it falling all over the place. Prices are a little higher but their food stands out from a typical burger place so it justifies a slightly higher price than a chain burger place. Friendly customer service. I recommend calling your order in ahead of time if you plan to take your meal to go. Dined in today, the food was pretty good. I will be trying something else next time I go in. I had the Bulgolgi burger, husband had bacon burger, and kiddos had the chicken nuggets. This place have been my go-to burger place for a few years. I have always enjoyed their higher quality beef patties. I have, on occasion ordered their tasty grilled salmon burgers when overcome with feeling of guilt What i noticed in my last trip to thei burger mecca was that although their burgers still taste good but sadly the patties have gone on a diet. This place is a gem Had the California burger and it was so delicious! The avocados were fresh and I love the bun that they use. What is up with their French fries? Why are they so good? Solid crunch but still soft on the inside. Staff provide good service, it's clean and food is excellent. Nice Burger joint in Seattle Hill Road. We ended up here just because the near by restaurant we were trying to dine in was close for some reason. We were kind of lazy enough to try another place once we saw EJ. The menu looks very decent. A lot of options, most of their burgers are beef patties. Some vegetable burgers and fish burgers are available as well. They have fish & chips (french fries) and some side orders. All the burgers by default comes with french fries. Service was quite nice. We were welcomed and allowed to take our time to figure out our order, even though it was a busy evening. We ordered the Grilled Chicken breast burger, Grilled Portobello Mushroom burger, Cod Fish and Chips and Chicken nuggets. Took around 10-15 mins to get the burgers. Must say the burgers are quite decent and delicious. It came with tons of french fries. The Cod fish was really good. Variety coleslaw and it tasted even better with their homemade tartar sauce. The food is good, The portion is also decent. But it's a little expensive. Our order cost us close to $65 (incl gratuity). And we wasted half the french fries. May be they should reconsider the portion of fries and adjust the price a little bit. Could have given a 4 star for the food and star, but the price is a big factor here! read more

This place is a freaking joke. Their customer service is lousy, they don't listen to you at all. We stood at the counter waiting to order for like 10 minutes...they didn't even acknowledge us until it was convenient for them... When we finally ordered we asked if drinks come with our meals and she said yes. So we grabbed our drinks and sat down. Next thing I know, she is treating us like we stole from her because now all of a sudden drinks don't come with the meal??? So we reminded her that we had asked and she continued on with saying how we "need to pay for our drinks" and treating us like we are stealing. So my husband pays for the 2 drinks and then she brings 2 of our family's meals out and 1 of us had to wait for another 5 minutes for our meal... Meanwhile, I am watching them screw up 2 other orders And once everyone's food finally comes out and we are ALL eating....the lady at the counter was glaring at us the entire time. I am an extremely patient person, I work in retail customer service and my husband works in a restaurant...so we know that we should not have been treated the way we did... If we hadn't already paid for our food I would have walked out a long time ago..... It cost the same for us to go here as it would for us to just have gone to red robin and gotten better food and service.. We tried it for our first time, burgers were ok. More-so disappointed in their service. My buddy (who is allergic to mayo) requested no mayo but we recieved our burgers and first bite he could taste mayo. The lady said its "House Sauce" and he only requested no Mayo so instead of fixing the order she Actually made him buy another burger at $15.99. Well, the "house sauce" tasted like fry sauce (which is ketchup & mayo mixed together)... The lady was rude about it and barely spoke english so we just left. THE.BEST.BURGER.IN.WASHINGTON!! Holy shiz, I'm not even kidding. The hike I just did right before this did NOT play a factor into my opinion. Recommended by my brother who also said there's a location at U-district (& said it's pretty popular). Everything on the menu sounded SO GOOD because I'm a fan of asian-fusion-mixed-food. He recommended I try the standard burger just so I can try their house sauce. Got the bacon cheese burger & added an egg for $1 (duh, why would you not?). The burger and fries came out and it was like pure perfection. Every bite was perfect, including the skinny fries. I, for some odd reason was expecting steak fries like at red robins LOL. Anyway, wowwerz, the bun and everything was SO good. The softest yet tastiest bun on a dang burger I've ever had. (This beats all my previous burger reviews). The house sauce is the real winner! I can't even describe it, you just gotta try it for yourself!! Ugh I'm drooling just writing this post. So sad I live 45 minutes away but well worth it for me to come back and try their bulgogi burger & all the rest! Oh and the pricing is wonderful! $8-10 bucks for a burger and fries, WHAT A STEAL!
