This is the second time I have tried a Katsu Burger. Definitely impressed by the execution at EJ. Clearly the food is made fresh, fries and burger were nice and hot. While it's no slam against the restaurant, it is a burger that you'll want to shower after eating. I would come back to try other items! Friendly owners.

I would've included pictures of the food we got, but it so absolutely delicious we didn't have time to photograph it. The owners (?) were so so nice. The food was fresh and so good. The inside was also very clean! There's cute artwork all around as well. Great spot! 10/10 recommend!

I ordered a beef katsu burger and the beef part was like rubber, I swear I couldn't even tear a bite it was so bad. I'm very anxious about complaining but as it was inedible I tried to talk to the counter lady about it and she just said that's how it's supposed to be and the chicken katsu is better and I should have ordered that. They did give me just a replacement regular burger, which was good. All past experiences were good, but I guess just stay away from the katsu stuff.

My wife and I are traveling from out of State and gave this local place a try. Cons; pretty pricey for a burger and fries ( make sure you see the updated menu picts) On the mixed side, the sandwiches are giant. You might think that can only be good....but my wife's katsu burger was so big, she couldn't handle it much less eat it without it falling all over the place. My chicken was manageable but could eat a quarter of my fries. Food was tastey, but I would have rather paid less for reasonable portions.

This place have been my go-to burger place for a few years. I have always enjoyed their higher quality beef patties. I have, on occasion ordered their tasty grilled salmon burgers when overcome with feeling of guilt What i noticed in my last trip to thei burger mecca was that although their burgers still taste good but sadly the patties have gone on a diet. That's real sad since I'm not a vegan and a mostly lettice and tomato burger really really doesn't work for me. It is sad to see this once great establishment fall to probably inflation.

EJ Burger is in walking distance from our home, I really appreciate the wide variety of options and that everything is made fresh per order. My husband loves the grilled salmon, and I love the garden burger (it's not loaded with rice or grain.) My son typically orders the bacon cheeseburger he and his friends go there all the time. I can't beat the convenience, quality, and customer service!!

This place is a gem Had the California burger and it was so delicious! The avocados were fresh and I love the bun that they use. What is up with their French fries? Why are they so good? Solid crunch but still soft on the inside. Staff provide good service, it's clean and food is excellent. The only thing I might recommend is that they play some music for a little ambience.

Nice Burger joint in Seattle Hill Road. We ended up here just because the near by restaurant we were trying to dine in was close for some reason. We were kind of lazy enough to try another place once we saw EJ. The menu looks very decent. A lot of options, most of their burgers are beef patties. Some vegetable burgers and fish burgers are available as well. They have fish & chips (french fries) and some side orders. All the burgers by default comes with french fries. Service was quite nice. We were welcomed and allowed to take our time to figure out our order, even though it was a busy evening. We ordered the Grilled Chicken breast burger, Grilled Portobello Mushroom burger, Cod Fish and Chips and Chicken nuggets. Took around 10-15 mins to get the burgers. Must say the burgers are quite decent and delicious. It came with tons of french fries. The Cod fish was really good. Variety coleslaw and it tasted even better with their homemade tartar sauce. The food is good, The portion is also decent. But it's a little expensive. Our order cost us close to $65 (incl gratuity). And we wasted half the french fries. May be they should reconsider the portion of fries and adjust the price a little bit. Could have given a 4 star for the food and star, but the price is a big factor here!

I decided today to try a local Burger establishment and found EJ Burgers nearby. I ordered the California burger with fries and was pleasantly surprised by the large size (burger and fries), fresh and quality looking top sides. The burger was tasty and the fries crispy at a fair price! I have finally found a burger place worth many more visits. read more

I have eaten here twice for takeout, both times getting the Bulgogi Burger. It was so good the first time had to get it again! Plenty of options on the menu to explore so you should be able to find something to your liking. Burgers come with fries. With a small upcharge you can get onion rings instead, which came with a small side of sauce for dipping. They also have a small selection of shakes, and I am a sucker for peanut butter. It was not super thick so I could enjoy it right away. The restaurant is clean with plenty of tables for large or small groups. The parking lot is busy but they have a couple of reserved spots in front of the door. read more

This was a very good hamburger! Exactly what we were looking for, not too simple but also not overly complicated. There is a good selection of different types of burgers, California, bacon cheese, even a katsu burger as well as fish and chips as an entre. I especially appreciated the plentiful portion of hot crispy fries and the thick ice cream shakes. Lastly, the location is convenient with plenty of parking and the staff was very friendly. I freaking love this place! While pricey, the burgers are big to make up for it. And the quality is just fantastic! My personal favorite burger is the EJ. The House Sauce they use just makes the burger stand out so well! The EJ burger is by far my favorite on the menu! Mother agrees the giant onion rings are well worth five dollars! read more

The Mill Creek location is near our daughter's house and is our go to place for fish and chips. The restaurant is very clean and the location easy to get to. The Kent location is near our house but open only from 10:00 to 3:00. We have not tried it yet. I have had burgers and fish there and each thing I have eaten has been great. I most definitely recommend this "burger joint". read more

My husband and I LOVE EJ Burger. We get take out from here every few weeks and have since they opened, so this review is way past due! I'm a big fan of the California Burger sub chicken for beef, and my husband loves the Hawaiian burger. Lately, I've been on a chicken katsu sandwich kick, which is incredible! The katsu sauce is delicious! We will also sometimes get fish and chips, which are always delicious. They give generous portion sizes of fish that are panko-breaded and fried. The only thing that has disappointed us a bit is that they switched from fresh potato fries that looked soggy, but tasted A-mazing, to frozen fries that are crispy, but not very flavorful. Please bring back the good, homemade French fries!! They were SO much better than the current ones. It's not enough for me to downgrade to 4 stars, because everything else is so good, but I almost took away a star simply because of the fries. read more

Came here on a Thursday night at around 730pm and it was completely empty. I asked the worker there(possibly the owner) when they opened and he informed me they just opened the previous Friday. I just moved nearby and always wanted to stop in this small strip mall that has a Vietnamese and Mexican restaurant right next to this burger place. They have a really expansive burger menu and you can customize your own burger with any toppings you want. The burger I tried because of the worker's recommendation was the California Burger. It cost $10 for the burger and includes fries. Food came out quick and I always nosh on a few fries to get into eating mode, and the fries are pretty much my only complaint here. The consistency in the crispness of the fries wasn't there. But onto the burger and all I have two words for you, HOUSE SAUCE!! The house sauce is amazing and something I haven't really tasted before--it's like this sweet gooey ketchup and was good for dipping the fries in, too. The meat was cooked perfectly and tasty--they juse 100% angus beef. Overall, a good experience. The place is brand new and clean. Value - 4* Food - 5* Customer Service - 4* Ambiance - 3* This is a place I'd go back to if I'm not near a Red Robin, haha. And I'd totally recommend this as the best burger near the Silver Firs area. read more

This is a great place to get a burger and fries that are just a step up from other burger joints around the area. I usually get the bacon cheeseburger or the EJ burger, but they have a few different choices, so it's nice to have the variety if you are in the mood to try something different. The only drawback for me is the price. They raised prices way too much that it's just not worth going as often. I suppose that's a good thing though, I probably need to cut back on the red meat and fry intake, lol read more

The burger is back! One of my biggest gripes moving to Clearview WAS driving 20 minutes to the closest burger joint. Not any more, EJ Burger is pretty close to a blazing onion quality for 1/2 the price.....and without driving 40 minutes round trip! My photo says it all. Big burger with all the fixings a mountain of fries for $8. Inside you have granite table tops, comfy chairs, tile flooring everywhere, paper towel dispensers and hand sanitizer everywhere and boxes and boxes of local Washington potatoes, all in a very pleasant environment for eating out. EJ personally took my order and introduced himself, he's very nice. The staff was smiling too and I got the impression they were all family but I'm just guessing. We will be back, thanks guys! read more

I had an insatiable burger craving for weeks. Last night we ordered to-go (yes they are still open!) and I had the most amazing bacon cheeseburger. I really appreciate their attention to detail with the sanitized pens for signing receipts. It was my first time there but definitely not my last. Had high hopes for this place but was sadly mistaken. Who puts hole romaine lettuce on a burger? Meat has funny texture. I got the the Korean sauced one that was not anything like I was expecting! My step mother is Korean so I know what their food is all about. I've tried Just about all Korean sauces but this is not to my liking. Struggled to choke down half of it. Wife had the mushroom Swiss burger and said it was just o.k. and we both agreed there are many better burger places locally. The fry sauce is also a joke. Never to return. read more

Nice little mom and pops burger spot! They're "Asian owned" so they have lots of Asian influenced food. Such as, a Bulgogi burger and Katsu-just about anything burgers. Katsu Chicken, beef, salmon and so on. They're ingredients are pretty fresh, and their fries are great! Price wise you get s decent amount of food for what you pay as well. The actual location isn't too big, I'm guessing no more than 30 people would fit comfortably at a time. Really recommend as a good lunch option, if you're in this area. read more

I think the other reviewers were paid or friends of the owner. We wanted a great burger, but wanted to try a new place. While sitting, waiting for our order, I saw one woman throw away nearly her entire meal. I figured she was picky. Well, my husband and I nearly did the same. I don't know what was wrong with the burger meat. It was either deeply frozen or not real beef. It was like chewing on cardboard. The first few fries were delicious, but the others were way undercooked. Never again will we go here. read more

Nothing really special about this place. It's a small little burger place. Came here with my boys and we ordered regular cheese burgers and one kids burger. For the money and taste I would rather go to McDonald's. I don't recommend it unless you really really really need a burger and don't feel like driving couple moles down the road. read more

I got the crispy chicken sandwich and my husband the California burger. We also got a side of onion rings. It was all super delicious! Whatever sauces they provided on the side were amazing. My husband said his burger was one of the best he has ever had. We also were very impressed with their fries. My husband already wants to go back :) we will definitely be returning. read more

The only reviewers are not lying, this place has fantastic burgers! Nice and juicy while still having a slight crunchy char on the outside. Their different burger creations are very creative too. I just got the EJ burger but was able to add bacon and avacado to it as well, so good! I must have missed it on the menu but they do offer gluten free buns as well. The woman was nice enough to let me add it on last minute. I believe they also double fry their fries. Whatever they do, they are nice and crunchy. Their burger prices also include the fries so it is a very good deal. Highly recommend this place. read more

Service was good, greeted at the door told to find a seat great. The food was not the best I would say medium bar food. We have the steak tacos, the fish and chips and the mac and cheese. I will say that mac and cheese was the best of all three meals. The french fries were pretty gross no one at our table even ate them. The fish however was pretty good. The steak tacos should have a little warning on there that they have a lot of spice because they were quite hot. So if you don't like spicy the mac and cheese with jalapenos and the steak tacos will not be for you. Overall it was okay however it was so hot inside It was unpleasant to eat. If you were there just for you know an appetizer and a drink it'd probably be fine but it was really hot and it's not even summer. Unfortunately not sure if I would return but it does have a really cool atmosphere and they have bands so it is kind of a neat draw for a bar situation.

My husband ordered the pesto tofu sandwich with Moroccan soup, and that was the highlight. The sandwich was delicious, and his only regret was not getting the full size. The soup was also really flavorful. The place itself feels cozy. The food came out quickly, and we finished everything in no time. Parking is street parking, which might be tricky, especially on weekends. Overall, a good experience. I would definitely come back to try more sandwiches or burgers, but I would probably skip the salad bar next time.

Am rating 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: 1) They have no gluten free options. Not a GF bun, bread., pasta nor pizza dough. I understand not having many, but to have no GF choices is just not great these days. My husband with celiac disease had very few options. 2) Need more and reservable outside seating. Especially on the beautiful days (like this one was) - having to sit inside was a big bummer. They had more tables outdoors but we were told those were waiting areas and that we couldn't eat there. Anyway - a good spot and an even better one if they made just a couple changes.

Only complaint for the whole place is that there are not tees for all of the bays(not the valley grills problem). And you can't even use your own tees on the pads. Amazing hole in the wall joint! Quick ordering, awesome service & then the food. Simple menu, burgers cooked pink like I love! The California burger we had was very tasty. The service however was lacking- it felt like we were unwelcome. We promptly ate our food and left. Would order a burger for take-out in a pinch, but otherwise would likely not return. read more

This place is near to we live which is the #1 reason we go. The burgers are pretty good. You can't get one without fries though. Their sauce is a little sweet but everything is fresh and freshly made. read more
