I've always liked JJ and ate at multiple locations. This location used to be one of my favorites as it seems like a commuter location for families, gym members, homeless, and people like me catching the bus. Over the years the preparation of sandwiches was fast, quick and efficient. As of late, their turkey tom, Vito, and totally tuna orders seem really lagging. I think it's all of the online orders and I've also noticed that the sandwich shop was closed due to lack of staffing. It's a strange feeling. I also saw a staff person at the cast register wearing a hoodie and mask when working. It was kinda weird to see as I could only see the persons eyes. I know staff work hard. My last review was based on disappointment that I didn't have a car and there was no delivery service only a mile away. It would have taken an hour and two buses just to go that short distance. Today, however, I have a car now and it takes me five minutes to get there crossing the excessively traveled Northgate corridor. The #4 Roast Beef--OMG, this sandwich is irresistible. $23 for the full-length version BUT--check the bread on the racks because some are bigger than others by up to four inches. I was disappointed to lose the N. 135th Street and Aurora store because Jersey Mikes took it over, and it's not the same. There, they like to drench everything with Italian dressing and they also use a "V" cut, meaning the bottom 1/3 of the sandwich has no goodies, only bread and coupled with the top and bottom it's too much bread! Jimmy John's cuts the bread in half length wise and makes the sandwich proper. And I make sure they get mayo and mustard all the way to the very ends along with the ingredients so I don't have a "desert" bite (a bite with nothing but bread). All the way to the ends I tell them. And they do. Hard turn left or right from N. Northgate way into the driveway shared with Total wine. They have five parking spots in front and a parking garage about forty feet ahead. read more

This location stays busy with app orders, which is the method I stick with. After years hearing good things about this Jimmy John's location on Northgate Way in the Northgate neighborhood of Seattle (my home neighborhood in my American hometown), I finally decided I would make it the Jimmy John's location for my first ever time having Jimmy John's. Driving past about half an hour before opening on Sunday 29 October 2023, I quickly checked out the parking situation. There was a small stretch with a few parking spots for retail parking with a 20 minute maximum abutting the side of the restaurant. Beyond these spots was a larger garage for retail parking. Returning about opening time, 11:00 a.m., I opted for the parking garage and was able to find an open compact spot on the top floor (ground level). Walking to the restaurant entrance, I noticed a sign on the door communicating the location was short staffed and thus there might be long waits. However, I was one of the first customers in for the day and the wait was not too long. The worker took about 4 orders, then filled them all in one go. He was a clear and straightforward communicator and in good spirits. I went with the 8 inch (regular) Vito (Number 5) on French bread. My choice was largely inspired by a video by USA Swimming on YouTube that featured Drew Kibler sharing his commitment to Jimmy John's as part of his training regime. As a runner, I was hopeful for a mix of tastiness and good-for-the-body ingredients. Eating on-site in one of the booths, I was happy both with the sandwich and the amount of natural sunlight serving as lighting. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The meats (capocollo and salami) were salty, the cheese (provolone) creamy/soft, and the seasonings (basil, oregano), oil, and vinegar helped the vegetables (tomato, onion, lettuce) shine without taking away from their flavor. In terms of the food being a good fuel for training, I had good workouts later the same day as well as the following afternoon (today, Monday 30 October 2023), including achieving an all-time second best time for myself in my current training set this afternoon. So in that sense, the food was good training fuel (I find food choices can impact my performance up to 48 to 72 hours later, typically). Reflecting on my experience yesterday and today, I was pondering some of the signs posted in the restaurant, such as the shirt and shoes required by state code. If Drew Kibler wanted to come in and dine wearing the attire he competed in at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games, would that then mean he would need to don additional clothing in addition to what he wore in competition... Left me with food for thought in terms of transferability of athlete competition attire to real life scenarios. read more

Dear reader, YOU DONT WANT TO EAT HERE!!! (Gyro Hut is literally across the street and is a thousand times more worth it.) I love Jimmy John's... or at least I did, after my last experience, I'm not sure I'll ever eat it again. I ordered a gigantic (double size) Gargantuan sandwich that cost me $24. On my second bite, I bit into something really hard, spit it out, dug through the food and found a CHUNK OF GLASS!!! I waited over a week to write my review because I wanted to see what customer service had to say after informing them of the disturbing situation. I never even received a response!!! I emailed them again (after a week) to explain how frustrating it is to not be responded to, apologized to, or at the LEAST offer to refund me the money I spend on a sandwich I was too afraid to eat BECAUSE IT HAD GLASS CHUNKS IN IT! ...they still haven't said anything to me, but I did magically get a $10 gift card in my mailbox. WOW! No words, no sorry, no refund, they never even asked if I sustained any injury from biting into sharp glass. All I got was a big "F*CK YOU, HAVE A CHEAP SANDWICHES ON US." ....as if I would want to eat their food again. (Seriously, a $10 gift card... WTF!?!?) We ordered from this location last November and had such a terrible experience that we decided to never go back. A lot of the workers are not happy and aren't friendly, some of the employees are great. It makes the experience bad when the employees make the customer feel like they're annoying them by ordering something. I'm sure there are other things going on but they need to talk to management and not take it out on people. read more

We kept seeing Jimmy John's everywhere and decided to stop at this location before driving back to Canada. The main reason was the commercial we saw late on tv saying "come try it because... SANDWICH!" Lol. Had to. Fun place great concept and motivational signs all over the restaurant I had to walk back up to take more even after I left I found other ones. Service exceeded our expectations they shared with us about the rainforest and desert areas in Seattle which I've not heard of once in the five years! Super friendly and nice. Jimmy John's subs do not get toasted and they are 16 inches or else 8 inches long. Also unlike subway, you can not choose vegetables or anything but they have veggies on them like avocados and lettuce tomatoes onions etc. Depending on the sandwich you choose. I'm super psyched about this Jimmy Johns and its location. The staff inside this particular location is very friendly and had my sandwich made before I was finished paying! I knew they were fast - but WOW. If you want a quick yummy lunch that's semi-healthy, this is your spot. Just skip the chips and cookies (or don't!) The cookies are SUPER yummy, with black and white Ghirardelli chocolate in them. I usually get a turkey tom and then fix it up exactly how I want it. I love their food. This location has a few parking spots right out front, although the intersection is quite busy since it's an entry to a parking lot for an apartment building and several businesses in the area. There's also a huge 2-hour parking garage area that was convenient and safe nearby if there's no spots up front. This branch called me and let me know they could not fulfill my order for 80 people 30 minutes before it was supposed to be picked up. I placed the order online 24 hours in advance. The manager said they DID NOT have meat, cheese, veggies, or bread ready.... All they could offer me was a later pick up with 80 BLTs. This was absolutely frustrating and confusing. Why didn't they call me a day in advance when I placed the order to let me know that could not complete my order? I then cancelled my order (20 minutes before pick-up) and asked to receive a confirmation email of my voided large order and that the refund has been processed - but I have not received anything to date. If I could I would give a zero rating. I ordered online and by the time I got there and waiting it was over 20 minutes. I walked in and all 5 employees continued to talk and never greeted me or even realized that I walked it. They realized I walked in when I asked where my food was because I said I order it over 20 minutes ago. They said my name with a question mark and at the time I did not know she was the manager said it's on the table. I had to tell her no it's not. He guy at the register had to go look for my food because no one knew where it was. I said I missed two buses because I have been waiting for my room. Manager got pissed and told me to clock in and start working if I wanted it to go faster. And then refused to give me my food that they already made. She is a horrible employee/manager and has no problem wasting food. I will never go to jimmy Johns again because of this manager and how she lacks customer service. Walked in... was blared out by death medal/gwar/ oh my god so loud music that it almost made my head hurt. I work down the street and absolutely love this jimmy johns! I order delivery from here minimum 2 times a week. My favorite is a #6 no cucumbers ,add: hot peppers, onion, oregano, dijon mustard, extra mayo and ask them to cut it into thirds. As a college student, I really liked Jimmy John's for their speed and their delicious bread...and I'm not sure if, as I'm getting older, my appreciation for their sandwiches is starting to wane, but their bread has gotten a lot less tastier. This specific branch isn't filled with the kindest of people and JJ's has lost it's luster for me to spend $7+ on a sandwich filled with mayo and lettuce, completely hiding the sliver of meat.
