I've been eating at DICKS since my first burger at location after concert at The Coliseum aka KEY ARENA Having grown up on DICK's burgers I consider myself a spokesman for the best late night greasy fries & burgers joint around. Now I'll grab a Dicks Deluxe anytime of day, yet nothing tops off a night of boozing & chasing women like the taste of Dicks Drive Inn at 1:30 in the morning. THE DELUXE my favorite burger is a combination of 2 meat patties, lettuce cheese & sauce slapped onto a bun. The fresh cut fires made on the premises and served with either a Coke or handmade strawberry milkshake to cap off a prefect night. Well, only one thing better is when you've manage pull in special friend with you ( wink wink ) to share it with. Not much has changed over the years. Dick's has manage to keep a very basic menu with 4 choices. The Hamburger , Cheeseburger, Special & Deluxe are your Burger choices along with french fries that are hand cut from fresh potato's on the premises for quality. Ice cream scoops & milkshakes for those desiring something sweet or if your maintaining a vegan diet yet just wanna participate in the institution. Parking is on the premise so you won't have any worries about parking. Meals are served fast and hot. And on occasion you may wait in line but that's because others want what you want. Was in the area cause my wife had a Dr. appointment on the way home we stopped for a couple of burgers and fries. My wife went with two cheese burgers and an order of fries, got two deluxe burgers and two fries. One of the things about Dicks Drive In is the walk up to order brings back memories of when I was a kid. Now if you want to sit down and eat you get in your car and enjoy your meal. The place has a nice sized parking lot and the staff is fast and friendly. The burgers arrived in the Iconic Dic's paper bag one look inside and I was happy the food is consistent the burgers are served one way but you can add onions for extra and Don't forget to get some of the yellow tartar sauce for your fries! This Dick's is walking distance from the Swedish Edmonds campus, so if you're stress eating or want something fast Dick's is a great choice. While I've been in Seattle 20 years I'm not from Seattle so I don't have the advantage of the burgers being flavored with nostalgia, but it's still good. It's definitely a fast food burger, but it's solid and consistent. The fries are always fresh cut and (not too) greasy and salty. No vegetarian options for protein - even in 2025. Prices have stayed low. They have good wage/education benefits for their staff and are locally owned, which is a plus. I don't love that this branch doesn't have tables or counters to stand at - but I guess it is called a drive-in. read more

Went there during lunch time and there were so many windows open that there was no wait to order. I did order quite a few burgers and was told it would take a few minutes. I would say that I didn't wait longer than 5 minutes. The location is nice as there's ample parking. Their burgers were good. (Not born but) raised in Seattle, obviously I have tried Dick's before multiple times. In fact, I think I have tried at least 5 different locations. Not all locations are created and managed equal. Some were just god-awful. Some were just alright. I have to say, this Edmonds location was great. I had the Dick's Deluxe, fries, and Huckleberry ice cream. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was awesome. Just like other locations, it is a walk-up. You can eat in front of the restaurant if you want but there is no seating or anything. It was a beautiful summer day when I visited and the venue was quite busy and surrounded by people that were just hanging out, eating their food standing up. I am not the biggest fan of Dick's in general but I highly recommend this location. read more

This was my family's first time here, and I was surprised how much we all enjoyed the meal. The service was friendly and very fast. We got our burger and fries very quickly and got down to eating. Since my son lives close, he suggested we try this burger place. It was an old school drive up burger spot. Area around the place was clean, trash bins were not full and messy. No sitting area so ate food by our car. The burger and fries cooking was smelling good. Service was so amazingly fast. We were in awe. Menu is so simple. We got a cheese burger, plain cheese burger and fries. Loved it all. I really love the fries. I could actually eat a couple of burgers and more of the hot fries. Every time I'm in Seattle, I have to stop by Dicks at least once. Although I'm still not a big fan of the fries, I'll grab 2 Specials and be good to go. This location is just like the others I've been to - they are fast and efficient. Plenty of windows open when it was busy. Restrooms were in good shape, after 7pm they are locked but they'll buzz you in. Helpful for a quick meal when you're craving a burger! read more

97% amazing. We took my brother here for the first time and unfortunately it was the 3% rare time. Our burgers just didn't taste right, like they weren't fresh or something. Burgers 4/5 honestly weren't amazing or anything but they were simple and tasted decent. Fries 4/5 were the soggy type and not crispy (except for the small pieces) and it had potato skins on them which added flavor. Not a bad fry. But not a crunchy one so beware for those who only love crunchy fries. The milkshakes surprised me the most. Good thick consistency and the best part was the sweetness. It was so perfect, my throat wasn't burning after each sip. Chocolate 5/5 Perfect. Bitterness complements the mild sweetness. Vanilla 4.5/5 Basic but didn't wow me like the Chocolate. Someone told me this is the equivalent of In-N-Out, so as a Californian, I had to go check it out! Dick's did not disappoint, especially the delicious French fries! The hamburger was basic and good, no complaints, but I'd compare that to a McDonalds hamburger in being similar. I love their French fries, though, for the taste, size and portion! I always come here when I'm craving a burger late at night since it's the only decent spot open until 2am. My go-to is a deluxe with onion and tarter. They keep the prices fair despite the rising cost of inflation. The tarter sauce is bomb. Sometimes the burgers become too soggy if you don't eat it right away. Fries are freshly made but they bag it so fast that the amount of fries they give you can be inconsistent. Dick's offers a simple menu and is comparable to Shake Shack and In n Out. Spent $45 on three deluxe four cheeseburgers and three fries. I repeated my order twice and the girl repeated it back to me. Got the bags and headed for home, about three miles away. Got shorted a deluxe and a cheeseburger or roughly $10 in food. The store doesn't answer the phone. Called corporate and got a voice mail back later from a regional manager. I will not call them back I'm not looking for free food. I'm looking for fast food places that can get the order correct. It's not like they are training people to be brain surgeons. First time at Dick's. Lots of folks waiting to take your order and lines move quickly. If you don't know what you want just stand to the side and look at the menu boards. We ordered a hamburger, cheeseburger, fries and a strawberry shake. I had a side of tartar sauce too. Fries reminded me of In-N-Out, ok when crispy but soggy in spots. Still tasty. The cheeseburger was one small patty with ketchup and mustard. The hamburger was the same, minus the cheese. Pretty good. Didn't try any of the shake so couldn't tell how it was but it disappeared ;) I don't normally do burgers and fries but this was a recommended local institution and glad we went. From the nostalgia of stopping with my dad on the way home from some random appointment, to memories of eating with college friends on the hoods of our cars, to walking down the street with coworkers, Dick's has been solid. Their tartar sauce is sweeter than most relishes, which I like but some don't. Service is ridiculously fast as, unless you're in line behind someone who's never been there before, customers usually average about 30 seconds before they're holding their food. So, for all these great things, why not 5*? The cost of the food has gone way up in the last couple years - maybe they were way behind on adjusting prices, but price increases have far outstripped inflation. That and their fries just aren't what they used to be. What was once a deliciously crisp handful of flavor has, in the last decade or so, become a wad of soggy potato. This is my late-night "I need a burger" spot. Also my mid-day "Hey we're out grocery shopping let's grab a burger" spot. Aaaand my "I'm totally in the mood for a Dick's deluxe" spot. Not to mention my kiddo's "Mom can we get a milkshake?" spot. This location is great. They have recently installed a canopy over the waiting area so you can social distance and stay dry. The staff is just as efficient and friendly as ever and they keep that line moving, so the wait is not terrible, even on a busy night. I appreciate their adherence to current Covid 19 precautions; everyone is masked and gloved, and I appreciate that they expect customers to mask as well--this protects the customers and the staff and shows how dedicated Dick's is to safety. read more
