Arriving at the Taco Del Mar on 196th Street Southwest a little after opening this morning (about 10:39 a.m., Wednesday 17 September 2025), the interior was clean and ready for customers, including quiet music playing. The menu behind the ordering area was well sectioned with large font. Protein options were varied, and in the spirit of Del Mar (Of The Sea) I decided to go with the fish. The menu item I selected was the quesadilla, so my order was a fish quesadilla. Workers I interacted with were friendly and professional, and I got to see the item prepared. The serving size was large and it satisfied my hunger. The fish was flaky and well distributed throughout the quesadilla. The cheese was melty. A goldened flour tortilla was soft and did not detract from the cheese and fish flavors. The item was warm throughout. An all around enjoyable experience. read more

I have been going here for about 5 years now and I go several times a week. My daughter even hugs the owner when she comes in. She absolutely love Luis. He's the hardest worker I have ever seen in fast food! He even knows what we want when we get there. That place is ALWAYS, and I do mean always spotless!! I'm not sure what is in their queso but I have yet to find another TDM with the same. It's amazing. Service is outstanding. Food is amazing. I recommend this place over any other fast food place, shit, I'd rate em better than the "fancy" high dollar rip offs. I placed two orders for pickup for an event on Wednesday. The first was scheduled later and I received a confirmation text that it would be ready by 6:05-6:10. Instead, I received a text that it was ready for pickup at 5 pm. Was able to get a refund from Door Dash, since I knew food would be past its prime at 6:45. I placed another order for immediate pickup at 6:05ish via Postmates. When I went to pick up the order, they gave me the earlier order instead, which was as terrible as you'd imagine- soggy and cold. Also possibly unsafe, since it wasn't even under a heat lamp, just on the counter on a hot day. Called business later that evening to explain what had happened and was told someone would call me the next day. They did not. I do not recommend- at least via pick up or delivery- recommend you try somewhere else, instead. read more

Only one employee working on a busy Saturday lunchtime. She was nice and gets my only star. Got nachos. Food was microwaved and overcooked. Everything was just gobbed on top so after about 10 bites I had just an overpriced bowl of chips. The soda machine was dripping water on the floor and the counter had tape on it. Loved this restaurant at other locations but it's been about five years since I've had them so idk if the universal quality has gone to or if it's just this location that sucks. I have been going to this place for some time. I stopped in this week and to my surprise, there were many notable changes. It seemed like the old owner really let the place go downhill at a certain point, but this new owner is so nice and quick. She has organized and cleaned a lot of things around the store. There are some repairs going on in the store, but that is no problem. It just goes to show efforts are being made to improve this location to what it was before. The overall ambiance, service and quality in food has increased drastically. It is also family run which is nice to see. I use to like this place but not after today, they really cheaped out on toppings on my burrito hardly any hot sauce, meat or beans, shockingly they gave me even less cheese than Taco Bell would give you on my icky dry burrito that was mostly rice. My husband is always telling me how good this place is, so we decided to grub hub it for the family. I am so disappointed...it was $50, we got 3 meals and 1 burrito. They left off one of our sides, plus we were missing 2 drinks. The "meat quesadilla" platter was $11 and it was literally one quesadilla cut into 4 pieces. The food was all pretty bland, and they charged us extra for cheese, sour cream and guacamole, that we didn't even get. What the hell guys? I really dig the hard shell tacos. Much better quality and flavors than a local NW competitor that features a talking cactus. And they never give me gastrointestinal disturbances like the aformentioned competitor's food. The burritos, however, was a miss for me. The chicken was way too dry for my taste, and i was really peeved that they charge extra money for sourcream or guac. Who can eat a burrito without sour cream? I cant. I love Taco Del Mar and have been to many locations but this one is my favorite! Very bright and clean and the food is always fresh. Also doesn't short you when making your burrito and actually gives you the full scoop unlike some other locations I have been too. Healthy filling lunch for less than McDonalds meal. Luckily I live near this location and I get it for lunch frequently to the point where the owner knows me and my order and actually seems to care about how my day is going! My favorite Taco Del Mar, hands down. The service is friendly, quick, and attentive. Large, bright interior and plenty of parking out front. The high chairs could use a little attention, but the tables and chairs are clean, and spaced so that you don't feel like you are right on top of your neighbors. If you have never been to a Taco Del Mar, this is a fast food chain that really understands its customers: fresh ingredients, and endless ways to customize your meal. Very vegetarian-friendly. For the past few weeks I have been coming to this location instead of Dicks Drive In because the nutritional value is higher. But today the person taking my order prioritized a conversation in Spanish with her co-worker who was on break over paying attention to what I was saying regarding my order including having to ask multiple times what ingredients I wanted and whether or not it was for here or to go. Even though I had said to go she was still setting it in a for here tray. My husband has raved about this place for years and I recently got to try it on a trip to Seattle. We walked in and were the only customers. The lady working had to get up from a table and get behind the counter to help us. My husband knew exactly what he wanted - a wet steak burrito. So I copied him but with chicken. We both made it a combo. I mentioned to her it was his birthday (it was) and she was nice enough to give us 10% off. The total came to about $20. The burritos are pretty big but I was not impressed with the quality. The chips were like the bottom of the bag, in pieces. Hands down the best Taco Del Mar in Snohomish/King County! The largest portions, best prices and friendly service are the reason I frequent this location. The food is hot and prepared right in front of you to your liking. They don't charge you for different tortillas like other places do. But what really tips the scales for me is the service. While some of the younger staff isn't as personable, they try to get things right, but the owner is amazing! The owner knows my order and treats me like one of the family. My kids run to hug her every time we visit, she is like one of the family! My kids love the cheese quesadillas, and my wife loves her chicken quesadilla. I love the mondo burrito. When ordering a combo, I am almost always able to save 1/2 for lunch the next day. Great value for your money!! Bought the $1 Groupon to try this place out. First, don't buy the Groupon unless you want a combo. They don't tell you that you have to buy 2 combos to get the deal. The food was just ok, wasn't even very hot. They ask if you want guacamole and sour cream without telling you the guacamole cost $1. I asked for no rice, she put some on anyways and asked if it was ok. I then had to buy the combo. I chose chips and queso. This is a place where my girlfriend and I always go for a snack. Their service is quick and efficient and even when we came at 8:55 (they close at 9), they were very friendly with us. I haven't been to Taco Del Mar in a couple years... I mainly went to the one in downtown Everett across from the arena. This is my first visit to this location. The food was good as usual, not as great as I remembered it from years past, but still good. I do wish that the portions were a little more. A bit small compared to what I get at Qdoba. I get the soft taco combo - you get 2 at TDM and 3 at Qdoba. But the lower prices at TDM reflect this as well, so it's understandable. The queso is alright, but just your standard nacho sauce, not much kick to it. Quick service and quiet atmosphere makes it a good quick lunch. read more

I came in on a Tuesday afternoon at 1215. The place was clean and wasn't packed. There were two people in front of me when in line but things went quick. This was my first trip to TDM and I love burritos. Well I'm happy to say I walked away with a smile after finishing two burritos. I'm typing fast before the food coma sets in!! I eat Chipotle all the time and I feel TDM's burrito was better even thought their meat probably isn't grass fed. They are slightly cheaper as well. Every year we order a taco bar for Administrative Professionals Day. Employees love it. However, the service was terrible. I had scheduled catering for 11:15 am delivery (to be setup and ready no later than 11:45 am). I called at 10:45 am to confirm and left a VM; no one ever answered the phone or returned my calls. I left 2 voice mails at the location I had placed the order with and 2 voice mails with the local office (for the Coordinator and Operations Manager of the Lynnwood office). Someone finally showed up at 11:41 am, 4 minutes before it should have been ready!!!! Setup takes about 15 minutes, so our 12:00 meeting started 15 minutes late with other offices on hold, just sitting there waiting for our office to grab lunch.
