We continue to go to this incredible pastry shop whenever the mood strikes. Their creations are…read moresecond to none. The quality and the finish are at an artistic level. And I haven't even begun to talk about the flavors. Their signature dish/pastry is the Mont Blanc. It is highly sought after, and often run out before the afternoon. We made a point of going there yesterday, from my partner's birthday to get some special treats. We were not disappointed. Despite being jampacked, as it often is, there was a good supply of the pastries we sought. New to the mix, is their version of a tiramisu. It is off the charts! The pastry chef is truly an artist. If you wish to try possibly the best pastries in the entire GTA, this is the place to go. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. It also pays a call ahead to ensure that you can get the products that you're looking for.

I tried the Mont Blanc cake, three types of croissants (twice baked almost, roast beef, ham and cheese), apple danish, cookies and meringues. All the goods were so appealing to the eye and you just wanted to take a bite of everything. I enjoyed everything I ate here and would definitely be back to try some other items, but would probably not get the twice baked almond croissant again as there was an alcoholy taste to it that was not for me. That Mont Blanc cake that they're know for really stood out, and I would recommend everyone who likes chestnut to try it.

Matcha Jasmine: My favorite one out of the ones I bought. It had a nice balance of the floral taste from the jasmine and the bitterness from the matcha. Hong Kong Milk Tea: Somehow had the most moist cake out of the other ones. It had a slight bitter black tea taste which I liked. Durian: Great option if you like durian. The taste was strong and generously portioned. Mango Grapefruit: Tastes exactly like a mango pomelo bubble tea. Durian Bomb: Mixture of cream, durian, and the tangy taste of passionfruit and mango.

Now if I tried it one time, and the mochi fell flat, you can chalk it up to a bad day. But a second time, and it's still the same issue, especially for a place where their bread and butter is mochi, that's just not cutting it. Other gripes about their product is way too much cream. I remember having the matcha Jasmine tea mochi, and it was definitely Jasmine dominant. I personally don't have an issue with the taste, but I can see how others may find it too floral. Aside from a disappointing mochi, I give them an additional strike for not spelling their name the good old fashion Canadian way! It should be Savourology!
