If you have a door or window project, Window Fellas is highly recommended. Competitively priced, competent, professional, friendly and reliable. There's not much not to like - which is hard to say about much of their competition. Without question, Window Fellas is the Bomb! If you'd like more detail, here's my story... For the past couple of years, we had been working to get our 3 beat up, weathered, exterior patio French doors replaced. We'd gone through multiple rounds of quotes from the big box orange/blue home improvement stores, the dominant Seattle-area window & door companies and the national window/door replacement arm of one of the major manufacturers. But we struggled to move forward because no one seemed to really care about ensuring we were getting the right product for our needs. And the process of scheduling an appointment, listening to a bunch of meaningless sales info and then working through the quote process was painful. No one seemed interested in discussing/offering options once the initial quote was provided. Of course, they would do it (sort of) if pressed, but it felt like it took a lot of work on our part. In the end, the overall cost of the project was too high to pull the trigger on a product we were unsure of. And then we came across Window Fellas. As other reviews have noted, their process is a bit different. All of the initial quoting was handled through email. We sent photos and rough measurements of the existing doors and explained what we were looking for. Then there was lots of back and forth regarding different door options, from multiple manufacturers, with pros/cons and clear, complete pricing for each option. Many questions were asked and answered. All of this was handled very efficiently via email and never was there any pressure nor any sense that we were taking up too much of their time. Eventually we narrowed down the options and made a selection. Then Petr was scheduled to come out for the critical measurement and sign the contract. Petr immediately made us comfortable with our choice to go with Window Fellas. He is personable, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. What stood out the most is that he asked many detailed questions about things that we hadn't considered, but that might be important. Such as where the hinges appear on inswing vs outswing doors, what color they would be depending on the door hardware (handles) chosen, how that would look with the door trim, etc. It was clear that he wanted us to be happy with our choices. There was a long lead time while our doors were manufactured. During this time, it was discovered that there was significant water damage to the house structure around one of our doors. This was brought to Petr's attention and he offered a few options - fix it ourselves, hire a contractor, or it could be fixed by his crew on a time & materials basis. No fuss, no pressure, just clear options. When the doors arrived, Petr reached out and proposed an installation date. The repairs were in progress, but it didn't look like they would be finished by the proposed date. Not a problem - the date was set to install the first two doors, and the third door was put on hold until we were ready. Again, no fuss - just flexibility to do the right thing. Andy and Tyler, the installers, were great. Professional, friendly, fast and skilled. They showed up on time, cleaned up when they were done, kept us informed and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Some punks threw a concrete block through our front window at 3 am just after Thanksgiving. We requested quotes from 3 companies. One of them said "That isn't the kind of work we do." even though the description matched their web site perfectly. The other company never responded back. The WINDOW FELLAS come out the very next day (before going to an all-day job previously scheduled) and made all of the measurements. Then when the glass arrived (from Boise Idaho) late in the afternoon on Dec 23, they called. They came out the very next day (Saturday) at 8am and installed the glass in about 2 hours. We had every window replaced in our house. From quote through installation, we were very pleased with the detail, care, and ease. Initially, we weren't sure if we wanted to replace panes of glass or entire windows. During Petr's walk through, he explained which windows would work to have individual panes replaced versus which were not salvageable. He also carefully explained how installation would work given newer windows aren't as deep so spacers would be inserted to make up the difference. His quote then showed the cost of replacing individual panes where possible versus the entire window so we could run the numbers and decide. I appreciated this transparency, he could have just told me I needed to replace entire windows and made more on the job. I was also told that there would be no follow up after the quote unless I had questions or wanted to proceed. I appreciated that it wasn't going to be some sort of hard sell as so many companies tend to do. We opted to replace all our windows and made a visit to their showroom to pick styles. Installation took 4 days and the crew arrived when promised every day and worked with care and attention including being careful with and kind to our small dog running around. Given the pandemic, they always wore their masks. At the end of the project they cleaned up completely after themselves. The crew lead noticed the retractable screen on our sliding door wasn't retracting smoothly so he said Milgard would be contacted to get customer service/repair/replacement started. Milgard called within 3 days. Everyone I came in contact with at Window Fellas is clearly passionate, knowledgeable, and meticulous. As a result we're very pleased with the entire process and final product. If only other home improvement projects went this well! Some reviewers have complained about a lack of response when trying to get a quote. I actually had originally contacted Window Fellas a couple of years ago and was told to submit a request via their website. I never heard back and didn't do anything further until I contacted them this go around. While I know it's frustrating to not get a response, it's worth following up! Once the connection is made, you will have their full attention, care, and expertise. I just got two older windows replaced by Window Fellas. From getting the quotes through installation, the whole process was really smooth and straightforward. After sending photos of the windows that I wanted to replace and providing dimensions, I got a recommended window type and quote within a few days along with a draft of what the new window will look like. Once agreeing to proceed, Petr came out to take accurate measurements. The windows were fabricated in a couple weeks and the installation date came. Petr and team were punctual arriving, he quickly set up a plastic sheet barrier between the work area and the remainder of the living space, and installed the windows within two hours, which was his estimated time. The area was kept really clean and the workmanship was great. The new windows made my home much nicer and updated. I am very happy with the results. My greatest concern with my old windows were the amount of street noise that came in and also the concern of the window not shutting if I opened them. Ive been shopping around the bellevue area for windows and i gotta say i did not know anything about windows when I started. I have had several company's come out and bid my window replacement job and by far I liked window fellas above and beyond the competition. When picking a installer it really comes down to the type/brand of windows you want. I ended up wanting Milgard fiberglass windows so I targeted company's that could purchase and install this type of window. Reasons to like Window Fellas: + fair bid for the job. (Unlike another competitor in the area who bid $5500 more for the same exact windows. I'm replacing 13 windows/9 openings). + knowledgeable and NOT trying to push product. Petr was great, explained everything and has a lot of installation knowledge so he was able to convey different options and explain "why" or "why not" to go one way or another. + Petr was very patient and respectful. + Other people in my community has also used window fellas and all had good things to say. Reasons not to use window fellas: - if they cant order the type of windows you want. Note: they have the brands they can order and install on their website may also want to call if you don't see the brand on the website. Im still waiting to get the windows installed so i will update this post after the installation but if you are in the market for windows, I suggest you call window fellas and schedule a bid! **UPDATE 3/31/2017** The install went great. Updating my review after installations: They were in contact with me before the date of install to confirm, they worked around my schedule and answered all my questions before the job started. Also, I hate talking on the phone, and they were able to answer most of my questions via email. I also did most of the bid review/acceptance via email (I spend a lot of time on phones with suppliers, I don't want to have to do this in my personal time too). John and Andy were on time and did a great job of installing all 4 windows on the first day. They even got to the first sliding glass door. They secured the area per HOA guidelines before 5pm and returned the next morning to finish the job. They gave me a heads up that they were going to be done with the job around 2:00 pm so I headed over at 1:30 pm to check out their work. I walked by the front and could barely tell that there was any work done on the first 3 windows. The install was so clean and matched perfectly I had to stare long and hard to confirm that the windows were in fact replaced! They left the outside as clean (if not cleaner) than I remembered. They were working around back and saw me so they offered to show me the new installs and how they functioned. From the inside, you could barely tell that there was any work done as well. There was no visible damage to the walls and the windows seamlessly matched. They didn't clean up the interior of the windows on the first day because of all the rain, but they did clean everything up before heading out (including all the old wood framing and windows/doors they removed). They answered any questions I had and they told me to call if I had any problems. They provided me with all the stickers for the windows and the paperwork with my receipts. The sliding glass doors and windows looks great. I just have to paint the trim and I'll be all set. They are good with time estimates, they were done and cleaned up by 2:00 pm and I was already on my way when they were loading up their van. I just used Window Fellas to replace ten windows in my house with Milgard fiber glass windows, and I'm very satisfied with their service. Back in August, we interviewed four windows service companies to inspect and replace the 27 years old windows in our house, some of which already showing decay woods. We decided to go fiber glass because it fits our house's style better, and low maintenance. We have around 10 windows to replace, so it is not cheap. We spent weeks interviewing companies from yelp, or friend reference. After comparing the price, quality and service, we decided to go with Window Fellas because a. Petr who came to our house was very technical. He did a detailed inspection (free of charge) and explained lots of things to us. b. Their price is very good comparing with others. c. They have a display room in Issaquah, very close to our place. We went there twice asking questions and check on the examples. The original installation date was in Nov because they all booked up. However in Oct they had an opening and contacted us right away. We're glad to have the windows replaced before the winter comes. The installation crew was very friendly, professional and efficient. They always have the floor and carpet covered up so the debris won't get the house dirty, and vacuum the floor before they leave. When I feel something not right with the window, Andy exams it carefully, then either explain it to me, or fix it right away. When they noticed a few flaws from the Milgard windows they ordered for us, they notified the manufacturer to contact us for follow ups. Since we were concerned about if the water damage over the years rotten the dry wall or not, they checked each dry wall and let us know the result. The work was pretty fast and clean. In three days they completed the work and we're very satisfied with the result. We'd be glad to refer them to our friends. read more

I requested a estimator for 5 windows and a door, and they did not want to come out for an estimate, and suggested I send an email with the project. I sent a fairly detailed request with window sizes to Nick. Then stopped by their Issaquah showroom to speak with him in person. I followed up with a more specific email that included Milgard models that they sell. He said they would get back to me after he spoke with the estimator. Never got a followup call or email from Nick or an estimator. Might be a great choice if you can get their attention. I would have appreciated a simple "Sorry we are booked" message. I have heard positive reviews from our neighbors so I reached out, so far I am 8th or 9th email in back and forth, I provided all the information requested and still yet to get a response if the quote (partial as there was miscommunication ) includes all taxes and fees. I asked if I could have an in house quote done as I am just really not confident that they are going to order/replace what is actually needed based on responses and that was refused. I guess at this time I am waiting for an actual quote from the owner , we shall see. But I am just really unsure if I would go with them at this point unless someone comes out and actually inspects my windows and patio door and goes over options and confirms what I would be purchasing is needed.. surprised, as my neighbors recommend them highly, but I see another person gave them a similar back and forth run around in July of this year , I thought may be they don't come out due to Covid (totally understandable) but just saw another review in July of 2019 they would not come out for estimate of 5 windows that a person requested....
