My initial experience with ARCO glass was great. Ghanbar was responsive and impressively quick in communication. He installed three new glasses for our windows quickly and the installation job was done very clean. However, after a few hot summer days, we realized the glasses are very energy inefficient compared to old glasses installed ~10 years ago. I noticed our room is much hotter than before. I measured the surface temperature of the new glass and an old glass in the adjacent window (less than 5 inches apart) and surprisingly saw 3-4 degrees of Fahrenheit difference. I admit that we specifically asked for clear glass instead of Low-E glass and that's likely the reason for the difference in surface temperatures. While I vouch for Ghanbar's installation work, I expect the glass company to communicate better with the customer regarding the expected difference, which turns out to be significant. From our conversation, my impression was that the difference would be small as much as the price difference is also small (~he said Low-E glass adds only ~$20). He also said that Low-E is only effective on hot days. We had a Milgard double-pane picture window (the kind that does not open) with glass broken on the inner pane. Ghanbar replaced the double-pane glass insert without touching any of the interior or exterior wooden trim around the window, and without replacing the window frame either. He measured the window and ordered a custom glass insert. Arco was about 25% cheaper than another company I contacted for a quote. Overall, I'm happy with the work Ghanbar did. The replacement glass may not be a 100% color match to the original, but I don't think anyone would notice unless you pointed it out. Overall just happy to have the job done. read more

It's common wisdom that you can't have all three of fast, inexpensive, and high quality. Ghanbar challenges that wisdom -- he handled my project quickly, ensured my utmost satisfaction, and gave me by far the lowest estimate of any offer I received. Ghanbar installed three mirrors for me: a bathroom vanity mirrors and full-height mirror in my master bath, and a bathroom vanity mirror for my powder room. He came out two days after I contacted him, and his quote was 30% lower than the next-most competitive estimate. The following week, he called me to let me know he had all three of my mirrors and was ready to install. Two days later, Ghanbar came out and installed all three in less than 90min, but noticed a chip in the powder room mirror. He conscientiously called the defect to my attention, and with no questions asked he took the mirror back and told me he'd be getting a replacement. It took another week, but he just came back to my house today, and it took him 20min to install the last mirror. On both visits, Ghanbar cleaned up after himself, gave me some simple instructions on care of new mirrors, and thanked me for my business.
