Our 3k sq ft quadrant home was about 15 years old when the siding started to rot around the windows. Landmark removed all of the old siding, replaced plywood that had rotted, applied new siding paper, then installed the pre-painted Hardi plank. The bid was prompt and fair. They completed the work in a timely manner and were super easy to work with. Really appreciated their attention to detail. We're doing an addition now and am planning on hiring Landmark to help with the siding. Also recommended Rener's team to neighbors who had their siding replaced and their homes look great too.

While that was an unwelcome surprise, I felt extremely fortunate that Corneliu was the one who discovered and ultimately fixed the problem. This issue was neglected by another contractor who had done siding work previously for me. Corneliu fixed everything the RIGHT WAY at a very fair price and worked as late as 7:30pm, long after the sun had gone down, to ensure everything was done before the next storm rolled in. I'll be hiring Corneliu for a bathroom remodel later this year and anything else that may come up!

We wanted a door installed in the interior of our home. Cornel arrived, measured the space, explained the different styles, asking what we'd like. Then he went to the hardware store himself, took photos of all of the options that fit our criteria, and texted us the options so we could choose, saving me time from having to go to the store myself. He also went above and beyond by offering to fix the opposite side of the door frame, which was ugly before the project started. We didn't even think it was an option to fix that. Cornel installed the door, painted it, and fixed the trim on both sides, on the same day. The final result is absolutely perfect. It's beautiful, and the quality is stellar. We will certainly be using Smart Construction again in the future for home projects that we can't do ourselves.

Something that should have been identified on the initial call or soon after, not the morning of. Unfortunately I leave Sunday so finding a professional to do the job will have to wait. If this is an indication of their level of service and professionalism I absolutely would not recommend.

The Rheem estimate from the big box store was ridiculous; the teaser price went up by 50% once they actually itemized the install. Emerald City's came in comparable to our usual plumber, but with the added benefit of getting another Rheem instead of a different brand and adding an automatic shut-off in case of leaks. Emerald City partners with McClendon Home Services for the water heater installs. Jesse and Aaron were on time and professional. Jesse checked our meter at the street and explained why we didn't need an expansion tank and, in fact, why having one could unnecessarily increase our water bill. We now have a 10-year parts-and-labor warranty and peace of mind. We also got an estimate for windows, but unfortunately Emerald City doesn't currently provide exterior painting services. We still might loop back with them in the future for first-floor windows where we could paint the trim ourselves. Overall, we're happy with the communication, customer service, and value.

Everyone we dealt with was courteous and helpful. When it came time for the installation Emerald City Energy communicated to us what to expect and how to prepare for the installation. The installers, Tipton and Nelson, were great to work with. They kept us well informed on their arrival times and their progress during the installation. They did an excellent job. The Milgard windows look great and the installers attention to detail was welcomed. They cleaned up after their work and left our house looking great with new windows. Ion and Chris, project managers, met with me, listened, and came up with pricing and scheduling almost immediately. I felt the pricing was reasonable and, importantly, we quickly established a feeling of trust. After a career of running projects myself, I would give their crew the highest marks. Emily commented several times that all day long, the only sounds were uninterrupted construction noise; every one of their people worked hard, all day long. As happens, there was a flooring glitch at the bathroom door. Without hesitating, a large section of flooring was pulled up and put back properly. Their electrician, Nick, was installing the new panel when it became apparent a new exterior service was required for code. Somebody rounded up the parts and Nick worked until 7:00 pm so that Emily wouldn't be inconvenienced. They resided the front of the house and did a great job fitting around the windows and doors, but after paint, the siding material was very rough. I pointed it out to Chris, and he agreed. Cesar, their lead carpenter, came back and sanded the whole front of the house and rolled another coat of paint on it, and put a fresh coat on the door for good measure. I added a few change orders and was treated very fairly, like we were partners. Ion and Chris were always available, even on weekends and they are leading a great crew. We are very pleased with the project; it's made the whole house seem like it's new. I've already recommended them to a couple of friends.

They were one of the first to reply and set up a consultation. I set up an appointment. Received a phone call that I missed. I called them right back and a man answered rudely asking why I was calling... I politely explained I was returning their phone call and he still questioned me as why I was calling, short tempered. They were very specific to need to meet at my residency and needing my address apparently to meet but I was fine with meeting them at a close destination. They arrived on time, and I quickly realized the man I spoke to on the phone that was very rude was the guy that was pitching that he would be the GC of our job. He was persistent that he wanted to speak to my husband, as if I am not capable of making a decision if they are someone we would like to hire. I feel like he was overselling his capabilities of doing our job and he walked into that consultation as of needing to show me he was the boss. I need a GC that's capable of communication and fulfilling the job. Their tactic was very skeptical. I will give it to them, that they were quick to try to pick up a job, and they arrived on time and I was able to have a cordial short conversation with them to know they were not going to be our general contractor. He gave me a ball park bid. The price was higher than what I felt they were capable of, and higher than most other contractors. They also claimed they had a reputation with the local banks, but they wanted us to be the dealer. Maybe good for small out of pocket jobs??? But definitely not new construction builds that may require a lender, unless you are doing an owner build. Overall, based on my brief experience with them. Don't waist your time or money. Lack of trust in their ability to complete a job smoothly. This review is based off their communication skills.
