Very polite After service communication was very good and they went out of their way to make sure everything was right. Not so great: A bit of lag w/ communication during the dead period between purchase and getting the window installed (and tbf, it was partially my fault). But as I stated above, they went out of their way to make sure everything was right and special shoutout to Chris M. over there for taking care of things. Really disappointing experience. After getting an estimate for a picture window replacement (10K+), I asked the salesperson for an on-site visit by their install manager/crew to BE SURE THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO INSTALL THIS WINDOW without needing to re-do the roof. I had gotten several window quotes and just as many different stories about what was doable considering the existing structure. One wouldn't do it at all, one could actually fix the existing, and one wanted to replace the entire structure, including the roof. So I felt it really important to have LWWD come to the site. Two weeks later and several nudges to the salesperson, nothing. Ghosting the customer after investing so much time into this decision is not good business practice. Stay clear of this business. read more

When picking a contractor for a job it is hard to gauge honesty, but with Jim, he went out of his way to make sure you were happy. I had a mixed experience with Lake Washington windows. I had three expectations from them that should be their core business: 1. Provide an accurate estimate 2. Invoice according to the estimate 3. Install windows correctly First, they quoted 9 windows but could only install 3. Unlike Sound View Window & Door, who outright said they couldn't install 6 due to openings being not square, LWWD had us put 50% down and then said they couldn't install it. I clarified with Michael, our salesperson, about the cost of the 3/9 remaining windows and proceeded with that. After they installed the windows, it was apparent that they were unwilling to honour their price. As we had put 50% down but only installed 3/9 windows, they owed us a refund. Getting the correct refund was like pulling teeth, and they were off by $500. There were some very deceptive emails about taxes, discounts and number of windows that were completely unnecessary. Michael was unwilling to cooperate, which was extremely frustrating. As for installation, 3/3 windows were installed incorrectly! The frames were not plumb and the sash was loose inside the frame. The frame was also not square. If I didn't have any previous window install experience, I wouldn't have known what was acceptable and what wasn't. It took two people from LWWD to verify that Chris and crew didn't do the correct install, so it took another 3 people to remove and reinstall the windows again to make it right. Overall, I'm baffled at this experience as it seems atypical. I will give LWWD credit that they did eventually make everything right. However, I shouldn't have worked so hard to get them to make things right. Lastly, the Anlin double hung windows have black weather stripping - which isn't in their brochures or website. read more

This was our first experience getting windows replaced, and it wasn't a small job either since we also had one large dining room window replaced with a sliding door. I recall getting a few quotes, but in the end I was really glad to go with Lake Washington. Our design consultant Ireland was very patient with all my questions and I could tell she was really invested in getting us the just the right windows + sliding door for the right price, without pushing any unnecessary options. Instead of doing just a quick measure and leaving, she made sure to go over as much information as she could with me which was really helpful. On install day, Thomas B., Daniel N., and Brennan B. were super professional and took all the precautions to ensure the dust and debris from the work area was blocked off from the rest of the house, and I could hardly tell that they had been there after each work day. I have to admit that once in a while I would overhear them discussing the small details that went into the install and I could tell they were ensuring it was done the right way. I absolutely love my new windows from Lake Washington window and door. The quality of the windows is wonderful and such an upgrade from my 100 year-old double hung windows. The installers Ricky Emilio and Gustavo were wonderful! They explained what they were doing every step of the way. They put up plastic walls so that no dust would get into the rest of my house. They put down pads on the floor so they would not track any dust around the house . And they did an excellent job installing the windows and caulking them and explaining how they worked. I will definitely use Lake Washington windows and doors for any other windows that I want to have replaced in my house. read more

We were interested in new sliders, and/or converting one slider into a window. We picked Lake Washington Windows because they'd have their own employees do the wall construction for a window conversion, not subs. Although that was the project we invited them in for, we decided to just replace the failed Thermopane seal panels instead, but during the visit the salesperson (Dave) mentioned their doors, which was a future project, so we asked for a bid for a steel door. Accepting their bid the product took almost exactly their claimed lead time. Although replacing a front door is less involved than converting a slider to a window, I was still concerned about the installers, and Andy and Taz did a great job. Very respectful of our property, detailed in their work, and explaining a few key points. The finished install looks great. While not an inexpensive project, I believe the upgraded door will not only provide additional security with its 3 point/four hinge system, but also be a good first impression for buyers when the day finally comes that we try to sell our house in the very distant future. In the meantime, we will enjoy. My only complaint would be they apparently do not do garage doors--another future project. Edit: I forgot to mention we did have a visit from another large well known company. Their attempt to upsell by expanding the opening for our largest slider was not appreciated, particularly when they denied such a change would require permitting. Also, really did not trust the longevity of their product which had wood encased in vinyl. read more

I requested a bid to replace two exterior doors - made an appointment for an onsite visit. They stood up my first appointment - when I contacted the company, they said that there was some matter of confusion, and they gave my appointment away so I would have to wait another week for another appointment. The rep promised me I wouldn't be sorry for waiting and that they would extend to me the expiring sale pricing. The day of the next appointment, I received a text shortly before my appointment time, from the rep, stating that he wasn't going to make it as he had to take his dog to the vet but would contact me to make another appointment. A week went by - still, no with no followup from anyone, I texted the same rep again, stating that I had been stood up for two appointments and had also not heard from anyone regarding rescheduling. NO RESPONSE. I again texted, asking if this is how they treat customers? NO RESPONSE. I ended up going with Washington Energy who happily showed up for their appointments, had great customer service, great communication and pricing. read more
