I had a window that couldn't slide up and down properly. I took it off and found it was missing a balancer on the left side. The window was built in the 1980s so everything was super old and I had a hard time finding a matching hardware. Joe quickly identified the issue and found me a new set of balancer (the model no. is different but they are actually the same! No one told me this after a lot of Googling!!!) I submitted a quote in the evening to replace the glass in the sliding portion of the window (vent) and the next morning I had a detailed response from Jillian in my inbox that was price competitive and fair. She was also careful to remind about the slight color difference if switching to LowE glass (because of the argon). They also were very accomodating of our schedule. All Service Glass has done window replacement for us a couple of times. Once to replace a large window destroyed by a rock, and today to replace a dry rotting wood window. In both instances they did amazing work. Joe came out and did the estimate, the office quickly followed up with a price, and Shawn came out today to do the replacement. After he got the old window out, he noticed some ancient carpenter ant destruction which he masterfully repaired. Since this work was additional we were charged extra for that repair, but we felt the extra cost was extremely fair and well worth the added expense. PS, the window that dry rotted was made by weathervane. They are no longer in business. But All Service Glass can create new windows that match the weathervane - so you don't have to replace all the windows in your house if you only have one problem window. Family owned and operated businesses are a dying breed and I do my best/most often to patronize those that are still around. Having said that, the only thing that was small business feeling was the fact that the work was done by the proud and skilled owner. I know that this isn't always possible (to have the owner do your work, for any business) but most often the core roots of a business come from strong owners and I believe that All Service Glass, the owner (Joe) and support staff (I think I spoke with Michelle) were incredibly helpful, communicated clearly, came promptly (and somehow didn't get lost getting to our maze of a property/neighborhood), worked efficiently, and conducted themselves and their business with the utmost of integrity and honesty.--These are perhaps the most important values for any contractor/handyman, hands-down. On top of all that both he/his staff were incredibly engaging and friendly. He even put up with being shadowed by my baby/toddler so I can even say "family friendly". The work he did to fix my immediate problem was great quality (things are actually fixed, no muss no fuss). And we had further discussions and drew up a plan to address some larger window projects and repairs that required getting in touch with manufacturers and tracking down past repairs.--Being a busy parent and a business owner/manager, I can say with certainty that I was the only bottleneck/complication in that whole process. We tried companies in Seattle that would not come to the Eastside. Through several calls, we were referred to All Service Glass that is located in Issaquah. With little hope of ever finding a place to replace a single glass panel that has a white grid in it, we were pleased at the response and attitude of All Service Glass. If you want you window repaired you want to hire All Service Glass. Our double hung window (lower half moves up and down) mechanism had broken. I called them and was helped by a pleasant woman who knew all about my window. She explained to me where to find the part number of the mechanism and when I emailed her the next day (Wednesday) she called back that day and said they had the part in stock. She scheduled the technician for that Friday (just 2 days later!) which really shows how responsive they are as a company. The technician arrived on time, introduced himself, and took his shoes off even though I told him to leave them on. The first thing he did was clean our window, the tracks, and the mechanism! Then he took the window out, replaced the two broken mechanisms, reinstalled the window, tested it to be sure it raised up and down easily, and then he cleaned the window, tracks, and everything again! Mom hired them to install a new window above the railing on her deck. It seems they were prompt to offer a bid and very brief list of the work they will perform, and to collect a $600 deposit on a $986 job. So far (5 weeks later) it has taken a phone call from Mom to cancel the order before they agreed to send a worker out to complete the job. The bid list looks scanty and I fear the results will be sub-par, possibly not meeting code as the window listed isn't noted to be shatter-resistant (you know, the kind required over stairs and near doors-can't think of the name), and only 3 pieces of 2x3 lumber are listed on the work order... I won't be here for the installation tomorrow, but will add a review of the work. read more

I had to replace one broken specialty "vanity window", a bathroom window that another company told me you couldn't find glass for anymore. When Joe came out to look at the job, he actually had a sample of the exact matching glass in the truck with him! He also listened to my needs for new windows to replace old single frame aluminum windows, and did careful measuring right then and there. I had a total of five windows replaced, and they did a super job. Quick, efficient, careful, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. I am selling the house, and asked Joe if he would do a bid for the entire house so I could present it to potential buyers.
