They provided a quote which BEAT the GC's quote, and even followed up with me directly on my phone via text messages (which I really loved). They were incredibly communicative (in the best, most respectful ways - not overbearing), and listened carefully to exactly what I needed to ensure nothing was missed. I can't recommend R&L higher. He works methodically, use high quality material and tools, cleans up at the end of each day. He did everything he said he would and more. As an example, he installed two windows and we later changed our mind and wanted them installed differently. He said no problem, smiled, took them out without hesitation and reinstalled them. It took him a few hours, but he wanted to make sure we're 100% satisfied. We also found some unrelated siding issues while he was working at our house and he was willing to take on that project to help us out. Should you hire Glassic? If you're looking for high quality work, willing to pay for it (he isn't the cheapest), and OK with the work taking s bit longer - go with Glassic!! Medhi does the work by himself with one additional worker, so you're dealing with one person from start to finish. He would install any brand and model of Windows you want (If you want something specific, it's mostly up to you do the research, but he's flexible and go with your choice). Alternatively, you can go to with a big company with many vans and installers. It will go faster (but not necessarily cheaper), and you might be limited in what brand of Windows to go with. The person who'll give you a quote won't be the person doing the work. There will be multiple installers working in parallel, so faster but lower quality control. If you have any issues, you'll have to call the office, not ideal. I hope you found this helpful.

Fortunately, we found Ace Glass online; their web site has an article (written by Reza, their chief repair person) about the options for repairing antique windows. Pedram from Ace came to give us a free estimate the day we phoned them; and a few days later, Reza came and replaced the broken pane with a new pane in the existing wooden frame. The repaired window works perfectly, and it looks just like it used to. And the cost was very reasonable. Reza and Pedram were very pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend Ace Glass; we hope we won't have to deal with more broken windows, but if we do, we'll be calling them.

We suspected this would be an expensive project, so for years, we just put it off. Finally, last year we decided to get it done. In addition to the closet doors, we also replaced 5 interior doors for "free" (I say "free" because there were other costs associated with the interior doors). Yes, this was an expensive project--there's no sugarcoating that. BUT, it was worth it. Someone comes out for initial measurements. Then, you go to the showroom to pick your doors, and get a breakdown in pricing. The cost of the doors adds up quickly (e.g. knobs, installation cost, etc.). But, they're not trying to pressure you into anything. Once you place the order, it takes several weeks for the doors to come. In the meantime, someone comes back out to do more precise measurements. The install took a full day and a couple of hours the next day. After watching them work through some challenges with the install (e.g., crooked walls), I began to understand why it costs so much. I mean, I don't think we would've gotten close to the same results going with a big box hardware store. It's been about a year, and our doors still look great. We just wish we would've tackled this project sooner!

Second, they are balanced, and open and close smoothly. And third, and perhaps most importantly, the bifold doors aren't falling off the tracks anymore. Replacing the hardware was also a huge improvement, with levers that are easier to use. Eric and his team did such a great job with installation, and I really appreciated all of the suggestions. Several of the door frames weren't standard, and rather than ordering custom doors, Eric suggested reframing the opening, which saved us a lot of money. Another closet wasn't the standard depth, and Eric designed a closet with built-in shelves that work perfectly for the space and for storage. I couldn't be happier with the work, and I highly recommend Seattle Doors & Closets.

Couldn't be happier! We have a skywall (14' long) over our kitchen counter. We interviewed and got estimates from 5 companies. Three companies said they would need to roof in the upper windows. Four of them said they would need to cut 3" off the entire length of our granite counter. Superior is the only one that said they could do it the way we hoped. We visited sites of their past work and were impressed. They staged the site (2nd story) the first day, then had the old skywall out and the the new one in the next day. They came back a third day to do some finishing touches. Mike gave us an original quote that was 50% less than any of the other estimates, and the final bill was exactly what he originally quoted. Tony and his son did a very professional job and were great people with which to work. This is one of the best experiences I have had with major home projects. We live in Everett WA. read more

Superior Glass Installations is superior in its timeliness, quality and workmanship. I called the company about replacing 5 skylights. When Mike, the owner, came to measure, he described additional features other contractors never mentioned. His crew, Anthony and Kasey, were professional, skilled and personable and installed the 5 skylights in less than a day. They were meticulous in their work and clean-up too. The results are stunning! My great experience with Energy Exteriors NW started this year at the Seattle Home Show when my…read morewife and I met Eric Gramonte. We had met several window people at the show, but Eric set himself apart by being truly knowledgeable about his products and his demeanor put my wife and I at ease. We set up 3 companies, including Energy Exteriors NW, to come to our home and give us bids to replace all of the windows (13), our French Door, and sliding door. Again, Eric set himself apart by giving us an all inclusive, straight forward, no baloney, and highly competitive quote right off the bat. One other company was over $10k higher! The second was several thousand higher even with the exact same windows, but lowered their price (and content of their offering) to get more competitive with Energy Exteriors NW. They actually, eventually beat their price, but we went with Eric. We ordered all Milgard Trinsic V300 for the windows and slider and the Ultra C650 for the French Door. Our order actually came in early so our installation was moved up 2 weeks. Raymond, Zack, and the rest of the installation crew were total professionals. Installing windows and doors is a messy business, but they managed to keep our home about as dust free as you could hope and the area around our home was equally tidy. They had the use of our guest bathroom and you could hardly tell they were there. They were quick and efficient craftsman that did an amazing job of making our home and our windows look like a million bucks. The installation took 3 days. We couldn't be happier!
