Great communication, high quality installation and service! From quiet, order, installation, and follow up we were very pleased.

We had several windows replaced along with a sliding door and large bay window. The quote we received was reasonable based on what we requested and compared to other vendors. We were able to schedule the work quickly after the windows arrived in their warehouse. The work was finished over three days and the installers were friendly, professional, and cared about their end product. We'd highly recommend them. read more

all around great experience with this company! from my initial contact to request a free estimate for an insulated glass unit replacement to the scheduling of an accurate measurement to install. the people i dealt with were all very nice, courteous and knew what they were doing. it was stress free from start to finish. today chandler arrived to do the install along with two others (brady and colby, i believe?) they were efficient, conscientious of the space, clean, personable and did an amazing job. they even finished far sooner than i was told the install might take. time will tell, especially as the seasons change, but from all i can see right now, including the reuse of the window trim that shows no sign of having been removed, i'd 100% recommend einar johanson for window replacement. they were great to work with--zero regrets in terms of choosing them! read more

They did a wonderful job on our windows! We were very impressed at the initial estimate appointment and chose them for that reason! Ian and his team for the installation were very personable and technically sound. The installation was quicker than we anticipated and we are thrilled with the way they look. read more

We had seven windows that needed to be replaced in our 75-year-old house. We contacted four different window installers. One never got back to us, one came back another gave us a reasonable bid, but Johanson Window and Door stood out because their communication was so prompt and professional, they helped us understand the choices of windows available to us, their bid was in the right ballpark, and we liked the quality of their product. Dave and Manuel did a great job installing the new windows, and we're very happy with the results! We would use Johanson Window & Door again for any house renovations. read more

Couldn't be happier with the results. It's tough to find a team that cares so deeply about their craft. As someone who is detail oriented, I am so pleased and impressed by the work. Thank you again!! read more

This morning Ian, the window installer, called and told me he coming over in 15 minutes. He arrived promptly and prior to starting we discussed the project and what he was going to do before he began. The job was to install a new (3' X 2') basement window in the same location where a previous window had been removed. He walked me through the way he was going to trim out the exterior and interior after installing it. Once completed I was so thoroughly blown away how good it looked. Ian cleaned everything up AND washed the window inside and out so I didn't have to do anything after he left. I am so happy as now I have light in my basement office where I am now working. read more

My experience with Einar Johanson from beginning to end was nothing but top notch. I can't recommend them enough. I had been meeting with different window companies on and off for 2 years mainly because the whole journey seemed overwhelming and stressful. Once Doug came over to quote replacing all the windows in my house, he made it no hassle, enjoyable and zero pressure. He listened to what I wanted, answered questions and spelled out everything plain and simple, honest, no "sales" approach whatsoever. The price was reasonable as well. I was happy to sign up and my windows were ready in 6 weeks. Customer service was top notch as well with Heather able to answer all my questions with each call. Then came the window installation (shout out to Chandler and Cole, my window installers) - they were so nice, very respectful of my home, and completely transparent with how the week would go and their work was chef's kiss. Their attention to detail and quality work was something I was so appreciative of. And let me tell you about the windows!! They look fantastic, quality is great, the sound reduction is EXCELLENT, and I can already tell a big difference in temperature/heat insulation. Again, highly recommend! read more

I chose this firm based on Yelp reviews and I'm not disappointed. We had a casement window that wouldn't fully close due to settling at one end of our house. A very nice man came to take a look and prepare an estimate; someone else came to take final measurements. It took about 6 weeks from first visit to installation. It's not cheap to remove a window, insert a custom replacement, and then make all of the interior and exterior trim work. But we got a nice window of modest quality (but not low-end). Kudos to our installers. They come into your home with a new window, and don't know exactly what they're going to find. There was some problem-solving involved. They presented me with options and addressed my questions so that I could decide. read more

The company was able to get all our windows replaced on our tight schedule. They kept an open line of communication and did an excellent job with the work. The team on site were professional and quick but painstaking in their attention to detail. They did everything they said they would and more. I recommend them highly. read more

We have had windows installed by the Einar Johanson company in the past, so had them install two more today. The team that came out , Ivan and Yarik did a great job! They were very efficient, arrived on time, were careful to keep the house clean during and after doing the installation and were very pleasant to deal with. The new windows are made of high quality glass that helps prevent sun fading of items in the interior. The cost was very reasonable. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the windows, with John who came out to do the measuring, the efficient communication from Heather about the project from the beginning, and Ivan and Yarik who did the installation itself! The windows look great! Thank you! read more

Einar Windows and the crew were professional and competent. We had them for my brother-in-law's condo. I wish we had them for our house. The Loews install crew made many mistakes and they do not know how to schedule. They also do no know how to measure windows. Einar does. Many reschedules. We had no problem with Einar. I wish I could remember the crews names. They deserve commendation. read more

Recently had my kitchen windows replaced and each and every person I worked with was fantastic! From quotes with John, to the actual replacement from Manuel and Dave, each person was stellar to work with. When it came down to the actual replacement, both Manuel and Dave were not only cautious in my home due to the fact I have a cat and made sure he was not disturbed or got out for that matter. They expedited installation flawlessly. Highly recommend to use Einar Johanson Window and Door. read more

Ivan and Yarik did a phenomenal job replacing all 9 windows and a sliding glass door in our 1938 home. Both were courteous, on time, clean, and thoughtful. They paid a lot of attention to detail throughout the process and made sure every window was level. They contained their dust impecably. They were also courteous and considerate of our two cats throughout the 3-day project. Also, shoutout to Lana from scheduling for keeping us up to date on everything happening, to John for his excellent recommendations for the types of windows that would work best in our home, and to the other John for getting his guys lined up to do such a good job. The price was very fair, and we are thrilled with the results. It was weird to see a company with mostly/only 5-star reviews, but my husband and I can see why they are so highly rated. Highly recommend. read more

Ian, Davyd, and Sage did a great job installing new Coeur d'Alene windows around my townhouse. These new windows replaced existing 37-year-old vinyl windows. Team, Dave, Manual, Davyd and Javante, just completed replacement of 14 windows including 2 picture windows in our 1947 brick home. Previous window replacement by former owner was very poorly done. Dave and team worked like crazy to complete a great install. Lots of effort to make sure the sliders worked very nicely. Took 4 days. Quality of chosen windows very good. Went with Spokane produced Coeur d'Alene windows. Cost was excellent especially compared to Renewal. Love supporting local business. Highly recommended, thanks. read more

I just had my windows replaced and the whole process was positive. The salesman John did a great job explaining their products without pressure or the typical sleaziness. The installation crew of Chandler, Cole, David and Brody were friendly, efficient and professional. They got the windows in and left the worksite better than they found it. It should be a no brainer to use these guys. read more

I recently had an exterior door replaced by EinarJohanson Window &Door, and the whole process exceeded expectations from start to finish. The entire team Lana (scheduling), Doug (providing detailed quote), Frank (taking presice measurements considering the quirks of an older home) with Ivan and Yarik completing the installation with true craftsmanship, being respectful of my home (floor protection, tidy cleanup) and care fitting new frame to internal trim. The installation was seamless, and the door looks and operates great. I highly recommend EinarJohanson Window &Door for door replacement. read more

Excellent service, terrific (Marvin) windows. It took a week to install all of our windows. The installation crew - Dave, Miguel, and Javante - were wonderful - installation went smoothly, the workmanship on the interior frames was excellent, they were careful not to make a mess, and they were personable/had good senses of humor to boot. A couple windows were damaged when they arrived at warehouse, but that was not Einar's fault and they were promptly re-ordered. Lana went above and beyond in customer service in driving up to Burlington to get one of our replacement windows to meet to meet our timeline on further work we were having done - we greatly appreciate her effort and understanding. read more

I called Einar Johanson Window & Door about replacing some windows that no longer open properly. When I mentioned they were Anderson windows, the rep recommended I call Anderson first, since they might be under warranty. She was so helpful and saved me some money, too. We needed three diamond shaped windows replaced. After getting feedback from two people in our area who had work done by Einar Johanson, and getting quotes from them and others, we went with Einar. We are extremely please with the workmanship and overall experience. Initial contact was with Heather in the office, who worked to get us an appointment with an sales person. She was professional and polite, and genuinely cared about us and our need. The sales person, Doug, was a no-pressure sales person. He explained the work he thought we would need as well as how they would do the install, plus any painting or other work we would need to do. We decide to go with them, and the wait was not long before our windows were ordered and received by Einar, and ready to install. When it came to the install, we are likewise extremely pleased. Odie was our scheduler, and he worked with me over text (my preference) to schedule the installs. One of the windows proved problematic, as we needed to do a reinstall (due to our house, and not the fault of Einar). We worked with Chandler, Javante, David and Manuel, who we all superb installers. They cared about our home, they were tidy, efficient, and communicated the timelines, plans, and outcomes extremely well. We are thoroughly pleased with the product we received, the price, and the quality of the office that supports the installers read more

They did an outstanding job on the windows on our three-bedroom house. They were thorough, detailed, and friendly. Further, when the screen on our screen door broke because our toddler kept pushing on it, they agreed to fix it for free. I took it in expecting to drop it off for a couple days, but Ian offered to fix it right then and there and did a great job--plus was just really friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommended! read more

The crew, Dave and Manny, that did the install were fabulous! So were the individuals that came to do the estimate and the measuring. Also, Lana, in the office was so helpful. The were all around efficient, responsive, and did high quality work. So worth it. I'm so thankful! The windows look great. read more

Had the team replace a door and and its adjacent windows. EJ was the only company we found that could direct set the windows, keeping the original look while adding a bit more modern touch to it all. While the initial install didn't quite match what was discussed, the team did not hesitate to work with us to make it right, and we're now happy with the result. Each time the team came out, they were professional and did a good job keeping our house protected and clean. read more

We had a great experience. They replaced three windows in our 1916 home (so the job had some tricky elements). Professionalism from end to end. Every person we worked with was on time, friendly, and took the time to really answer our questions. They gave us options without upselling which we really appreciated. Installers were great and left our home clean. The final product is just what we wanted and all for a reasonable price. Waited a month to write a review just in case but it is all still great after rainy and windy days. After all the nutty experiences we have had with other contractors it feels like a miracle! Thank you Einar! read more

This business and the employees are amazingly professional, kind and considerate. We have one of those older homes that isn't easy to get to or do work on. This is the only contractor that didn't complain about the driveway or stairs or situation. We won't use anyone else. The price is fair and they are dependable. They came out when they said they would, called before they arrived and did an amazing installation job and then cleaned up better than I did when the window broke! We couldn't be happier with all they provided. Just amazing people! Thank you, thank you! Mark and David did great work and were so sweet in 90 degree weather. read more

We had a great experience with the whole team at Einar. Professional, kind, efficient, communicative, and timely. They were recommended to us by one of our neighbors and we are so glad we used this company. Our sales consultant, Earl, was very knowledgable, courteous, down-to-earth, and super helpful throughout the process. He went above and beyond to answer all of our many questions and was instrumental in helping us figure out what windows would work best for our 100-year-old Craftsman home and for our budget. The scheduler, Odie, was very responsive to text messages and phone calls, and helped me better understand the window opening control devices. The installers, Ivan and Yarick, showed great care not only in removing our old windows and installing the new ones, but also in ensuring the least amount of mess and disruption during installation. I appreciated how Mark, who installed the window opening control devices, took time to explain how the devices worked and made sure they were installed where I wanted them. John, who did the critical measurements and came back to fix one of the window opening control devices, was clearly very experienced and he was happy to answer questions and offer advice, and he was always prompt and efficient. Finally, Heather in the main office was also super responsive and professional, helping with invoice and payment questions and keeping that part of the experience running smoothly. On top of all of that, we love the actual Simonton windows too! But the quality of the Einar team, top to bottom, is what sets them apart. read more

This is the second time we've used Einar Johanson and we were just as pleased with their work the second time around. They are an amazing value for the price for window replacement. Every visit was on time. Communication was clear and we were updated at each step of the process. And most importantly our new windows look and work great! Special thanks to Dave and Moses who did the work replacing the windows. They took care to prep the space and clean up afterwards, all while checking in at major checkpoints to ensure that we were happy with the work and product. We just had Dave and Davonte out for installation of three windows in our basement. They were a perfect fit and everything went smoothly. Cleanup was also stellar. We were shocked at how much more light the new clear glass allowed into the room. And the basement is noticeably warmer too. Should have done this years ago! read more

They were just fine. The consultant wasn't very informative about what kind of windows they would be installing. The installers did the bare essentials of the job but nothing more. Which would normally be fine but now I have old locks for the windows that are hanging by on the window sill. And one of the windows stopped opening easily and should have been replaced. And they left my blinds on the ground and wouldn't put them back up on the new windows. And some of the screens that they put on were damaged. And door seals that they used aren't in place so they're loose now and don't really fit. Now that I write it all out, I'm pretty irritated Reply to business: lol wonder if there could be more than one person living in my house who could have set up the appointment? read more

Truly can't recommend Einar Johanson enough. I ended up choosing them more than a year after getting an initial round of bids. I followed up with EJ specifically because they'd come in with a competitive bid... but mostly I just liked Earl, the sales person... he's just really a really kind, warm human that provided wise guidance and I never caught the faintest whiff of salesy stuff. The installation for my four windows was super fast (just a few hours) and Dave and Moses were meticulous in their work. All in all, this was an incredibly painless process and they'll be hearing from me again when I'm ready to tackle the next set of windows. Thanks so much, team. read more

I hired Einar Johanson to replace six windows: two large pictures windows and 4 single hungs. I love that it's a local, family owned business. While their installation guarantee is only good for a year, I had no reasons to believe they would do a mediocre job, especially with all the wonderful reviews endorsing their workmanship and professionalism. On the other hand, my experience didn't align with the other reviewers. Of the 4 single-hungs Einar Johanson installed, two won't close fully for the sash locks to work. When I called to discuss the issue, the scheduler suggested that it's my fault: "if the workers could lock them, I don't understand why you couldn't." Not only could I not lock them, I couldn't even get two of the windows to close fully to lock. I can't close an open windows fully and it's my fault? Only two of the windows won't come down fully, but that's two too many. I blame myself for not doing a walk-through with them when the work was completed. It was late and they worked full day. They said everything is done, and I took their words for it. Upon close inspection, I found that two of the sash locks show wear and tear. For that kind of wear and tear to exist, it's hard to believe there's no installation issues. If not that, the part they used were not brand new. I couldn't get the windows to close fully to lock them. If the installers did lock them, I can only imagine the force used to cause such wear and tear. That doesn't look brand new and clearly suggests something isn't right. They will come back to examine the windows and take it from there. They couldn't give me a window of arrival. The scheduler told me it will be a Monday because "we use Mondays for things like this, and there are two customers before you." The scheduler said the technician will give me a call when he's on his way. I don't mind standing by, but I really wish the job was done right the first time. I will provide an update after the issue is addressed. UPDATED APRIL 20th, 2022. Einar Johanson sent an installer back to adjust the brand new windows on April 4th. The installer didn't have the right sash locks to replace the worn ones. Another gentleman stopped by a few days later to replace them. The first installer mentioned that Simonton Windows have the best seal in the industry and because of that sometimes their weather stripping could make closing the windows a little bit challenging, and that Einar Johanson had to do several of readjustment to windows just like mine. It sounds like this is a known issue. Still, why wasn't this first inspected after installation was beyond me. But I also hold myself responsible for not double checking the installation before the installers left. Having said that, I really liked that they are responsive. If unexpected repairs have to happen, I would rather communicate with a local, family-owned business than a national store. Everyone at Einar Johanson was friendly and I appreciate their offer to resolve the issue. For that, I am changing the ratings from 3 to 4 stars. read more

I've used Einar Johanson for both window and door installation. They are wonderful to work with, and they do such high-quality work. All the windows in my house needed to be replaced because they had started to severely leak (the prior owner had shimmed all the windows to fit, even though they were too small.) The folks at Einar Johanson were responsive, showed up on time, and were very willing to work around some difficult scheduling situations. Properly fitted windows make such a different with energy consumption, and they're now totally leak-proof! Because I'd had such great experiences with them, I also used them to replace my front door. They helped me pick out a good one that seems very durable and once again were very easy to work and schedule with. I will definitely use them again when I have to replace my back door, or any other needs I have in the future. :) read more
