I was fortunate to have been able to have the insulation work done on my home by Green Built NW when I qualified for the Weatherization program. They were very professional and I couldn't be more pleased with the work accomplished. I'm in my late 70's with a sensitivity to dust and chemicals, and they were able to recommend various products to keep my home safe and healthy. Lupe did the original inspection and Darren led the crew. They were here for three days (working in 80° temperatures). At the end of each day they did a thorough clean up and any questions were answered to my full understanding. The entire team at Green Built Northwest was a pleasure to work with. I had two standard windows replaced, one sliding glass door replaced with a picture window and dog door, and one picture window replaced with a moving glass wall. Sophie worked with me over several days by email, text and phone to make sure every last detail was to my satisfaction. Fabian came out to the house to get all the measurements and make sure we were on the same page concerning size and opening directions. Natalee kept in touch with me for product delivery and installation dates. Renaldo and his partner built a dust barrier while they did the demo and installed the windows and framed in a dog door for us. Juan and his partner came back to install the moving wall. We had to reroute some electrical wiring and the electrician they partner with was also top notch. The installation teams were punctual, courteous and most importantly CLEAN! This has been one of the best home-improvement projects I've experienced! The work started with Erick, who wrote up the bid. He was courteous and answered all my questions. I got a 2nd bid from a different company that was pushing the sale so hard it made me uncomfortable, so it was an easy choice to go with Green Built NW. I felt at ease working with the team who prepped for construction, including Erick, Maria, and Fabian. As a team, they handled permitting paperwork, purchased windows, were direct and creative when we hit a supply chain snag, made an effort to fit construction around my work schedule, and earned my trust. Alex and Henry did the construction. They were hard working, efficient, and an excellent team together. They arrived on time, stayed focused but were friendly and upbeat, great communicators as the work progressed, kept the place free from dirt & debris (better than any construction team I've worked with), and kept the worksite safe. Things moved like clockwork, including coordinating a 3rd party for the concrete cutting. My neighbor (an engineer) stopped by on Day 1, and said he could tell how well organized and staged everything was. On Day 2, Alex and Henry arrived on time, finished the job a few hours ahead of schedule, and put everything back in the yard better than before. Seriously impressed with the whole experience. They installed an egress window in our basement and swapped out another window for one with a larger opening. Eric and his team did a great job of managing the work and scheduling, and he was always very responsive. Juan and his team did a great job doing the work and cleaned up the work site each day.
