A big shout out to Willy and his crew of 6 guys who did the most amazing job yesterday trimming my gigantic Chinese Elm. I called for a quote on Friday afternoon and by Saturday afternoon, my tree was very professionally (and majorly) trimmed, bringing tons of light into my house, my neighbors are happy, I no longer have to worry about limbs breaking off in the wind, my indoor plants can finally see the light of day, etc. etc. Willy even arranged for one of his crew to come back and move several large bags of dirt I was struggling to get rid of. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and the professional service, and I will absolutely call on these guys again for other work. read more

We've had the pleasure of working with Willy's Tree Service for a variety of tree issues over the years and they come through each and every time. I recommend them for their attention to detail their professionalism and workmanship. read more

Willy's is the gold standard for tree trimming, maintenance, and yard work. His team is experienced, efficient, fast, and committed to quality. They did two recent jobs for me and arrived in world record time and completed the work more quickly than I would have believed, and at a price that matches and beats most of the other services I have used. read more

We hired Willy's Tree Service to trim some overgrown trees and shrubs that had been neglected for too long. Willy understood right away what I was looking for and gave me helpful suggestions. He and his crew arrived right on time and worked very efficiently together. Very professional and focused. I was glad to see that Willy was there the whole time to supervise and make sure that his crew knew what to do. We're happy with the results. read more

It's like a bomb went off in the yard where they removed the tree. Willy pushed me to pay him before they were done, got aggressive when I pointed out they'd trampled the garden 30 feet away from the tree, claimed there'd never been plants where their mangled remains lay, claimed he was giving some huge discount (5k for 1 tree) so I should just be grateful, and left debris and trash all over. SKETCHY! read more

I called Willy about trimming some badly overgrown trees and removing several enormous junipers from our property. He came out and gave me a quote that same day, and he had a team here less than a week later. The team did a great job, especially on the tree removal. I expected them to need all day to take care of the junipers, and they had them all gone--including the stumps--by lunchtime. The crew was super professional, they took care of everything we needed, they did a nice job of cleaning up on their way out, and they did all the work faster than I could have imagined. I really don't know what more we could have asked for. I'd happily book them again. read more

Excellent, skilled, and kind service! Willy and his crew are extremely professional, friendly and efficient. From working quickly to remove overgrown and invasive growth to manicuring an ornamental Maple, these guys are a one-stop shop. On top of this, the price is outstanding for such a skilled crew. I highly recommend Willy's Tree service, and have already scheduled a follow up visit to do more work. read more

Willy's Tree Service was excellent. The crew included 5 men and completed the entire task in 2 hours. The service included trimming a numerous trees, one of which very high in our back yard, thus allowing again wonderful views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge from both my house and back porch. All of the branches and leaves were also removed so that were was no need for a major clean up afterwards. I have used Willy previously and will continue to do so in the future, as the price is competitive and service is wonderful. read more

Willy's team has been out twice to help us. First with topping and pruning some trees over our driveway and hauling out a large pile of dead rosemary. The second time on short notice to remove a leaning redwood threatening our neighbors, and to thin some other trees during the atmospheric river storms last winter. Each time they've been great, quick, and responsive to work with from start to finish. Will definitely be returning to them for future needs. read more

Willy is the best in the business. He can tackle any job and get it done The agave grew 30ft tall and they brought it down in less than 20 mins. Give them a call for all your tree and yard services !! read more

I highly recommend Willy's tree service !!! They came out today to work on a bunch of large scale trees on our property. Willy is an expert and his team of tree trimmers are truly the best. They come in to get the job done right and with safety in mind. They are a well oiled machine! And Willy is there the entire time making sure you are happy and the job is done right. His pricing is very fair and they have the best equipment to do the best job. Look no further.... You will be very pleased read more

I had Willie come out to give me a bid on pruning a tree that was on my neighbors property but was hanging over my roof. He said he would not do it without a permit. I explained to him that a permit was not required since it is on my property and I was only asking him to cut the Lim that was hanging over my roof. He got very abrasive and rude. I then asked him when he left my property to make sure that he close the fence so that my dog would not run out. He left the fence opened and of vourse my dog took off. read more

Awesome tree team. They removed an unstable/rotten 90ft tall tree from our yard in 2 days for a very reasonable price

Willy and his crew did a phenomenal job taking out some trees from our property. I called Willy and he was able to stop by on the same day to give us an estimate. The estimate was a great deal and even better Willy was able to start the very next morning. The team was on time, efficient, and thorough in their cleanup. We would definitely work with Willy and his team again. read more

Willy and his team did a fantastic job in removing 2 trees and trimming another. Great price and were incredibly fast. Willy is quite professional and was on-site the whole time to ensure customer satisfaction. I would certainly recommend him to friends and neighbors. Thanks again, Willy! read more

They are professionals. I got exactly what I wanted done correctly for a reasonable price. They were prompt and cleaned up after themselves. I don't know what they could improve. BTW - this is my second time using them. Highly recommended! read more

We have two tree stumps to remove and a persimmon tree to prune (we've only pruned it ourselves). Willy and team came through and completed the job in less than an hour! As in, removed the stumps, pruned back our fruit trees (in addition to the persimmon tree, we asked to prune our cherry and avocado trees), cleaned up after themselves and was out! Great prices, I would recommend to give them a call. read more

If I could give Willy 10 stars, I would! We called him on a Saturday afternoon, he accommodated our earlier timing for a Sunday morning quote and he and his guys were out on Tuesday. Willy is easy to work with, a great listener - an expert in his field. We had a large, unhealthy sycamore taken down, and he was thoughtful to turn the trunk into a cute bench for our boys. We also had some trimming and thinning out done, and Willy and his guys were clean, efficient and we now have so much more light in our home and yard. We will be calling Willy in the future for any further needs. His prices were transparent, fair and he was easy to talk to... just an all around great guy. Gracias por todo, Willy! read more

I highly recommend Willy's Tree Service!! I called for an estimate and he arrived within an hour. He was professional, efficient, and listened to all concerns. He was knowledgeable and honest in reference to the correct time to trim or in my case not to trim certain trees, due to the high risk of killing them. His quote for cutting down 3 trees, removing the stumps and cleaning up branches leaning over into my neighbors yards, way great compared to others I had received. His crew went right to work and did not waste anytime getting the job done. In addition, they cleaned up and left my yard looking wonderful. I plan on calling Willy's Tree Service again in a few month to trim the tree he recommended I cut in the cooler months. Thanks to Willy my neighbors and I can rest a little easier knowing my trees will not harm anyone or result in any unwarranted damage. read more

Very professional and courteous. On time and reliable. Did a fantastic job and they were incredibly fast. Pics attached are a before and after. Perhaps priced a bit on the high end, but worth it considering the crew he is keeping employed. read more

Willy and his team came by to cut down and remove our plum tree. Willy was able to come to our house and provide an estimate within a day of requesting service and we were able to set up a time for when he would come by. He was not able to come on the first day we scheduled because his team was busy, but we were able to set up another day. I thought it was awesome he could get this done within a week. The estimate was reasonable and the job was completed professionally. He's thoughtful and I would recommend him. I will definitely contact him in the future for work on our Redwood Tree. read more

Willy and his crew did an amazing job turning six trees in our yard from eye sores to neighborhood beauties. The trees desperately needed major thinning and reshaping, and Willy knew exactly what to do (he has a really cool laser pointer to show you what he plans to cut out). The cost was very reasonable, especially considering how much knowledge and craftsmanship it requires to properly and thoughtfully work on trees. read more

We appreciate Willy and his respectful crew. We have a redwood that needed serious pruning and we'd spoken with several arborists about the condition of the tree and what would be best. Willy offered a substantially lower estimate, showed up in a timely fashion and brought a great crew to keep the project going. I asked if we could keep some of the wood (deadwood from the prune) and the crew cut and stacked a good amount for us. They cleared the yard of all debris, and left us with the mulch from our tree. Pretty awesome! One thing to note: I created extra support/cover for two established but smaller plants under the tree...and glad I did, they would've gotten hit had I not. However, Willy came through in a great way and we highly recommend him. read more

Willy is a great guy, very punctual, reasonable price and very professional. I had a tree in my backyard about 30 feet tall. Willy came with 6 guys and cut the tree in 1.5 hours. Willy can beat the price of any other tree cutting services. So make sure quotes for others too. I am very satisfied with him. I recommend him to my dad also. read more

i cant really comment what he does for trees. he made an appointment with me for an estimate. never called or texted me day of , and a complete no show. so i don't understand how any business stays in business with so little communication. Its the communication that is most important if you want to be hired! read more

Fast, affordable, safe, and friendly - even shared their lunch with us! Will use again without hesitation.

My second time hiring Willy's Tree Service. They removed 2 trees and shaped my hedges. They also did a great job on my Redwood. They are though in their cleanup and completed in one day. I enjoy working with them to improve my home - it is beautiful. read more

Outstanding work, very professional. Polite and aim to please workers. Did more than we had agreed to on price . I was so impressed that I gave him a bonus and I'm hard to please. read more

We contacted Willy about removing a pile of tree cuttings we generated ourselves with a chainsaw believing they would treat a return client with respect. First they indicated they'd come on a Saturday so we waited all day for them to show. No show, no call. Finally they responded that they were too busy but would be back in alameda Wednesday. We were due to leave town so asked our tenant to move our car out of the drive in the morning to accommodate removal later that day. Again Willy did not post up only this time, he didn't call and now will not return calls. So I guess they don't give a rats balls about return customers and are too damn inconsiderate to call and reschedule. They may be cheap, but they are totally unreliable. read more

Pros: I needed some tree work done quickly, but the tree services I called weren't available for a few weeks and I had a very large blackwood acacia tree cracked and about to fall on my neighbor's yard at any moment. Willy brought out a crew and two trucks to cut the tree and remove the trunks within a few days. read more

Willy and his eight man crew arrived exactly on time and did an amazing job: thinning and trimming my giant redwood, removing ivy from the sides of my house, trimming bushes, cutting the lawn, and removing one tree. All of the work was done in five hours and the cost was significantly lower than the estimate received from another prominent tree service contractor. I recommend Willy highly (in fact, I signed up with Yelp simply to give him this review, I am that impressed). read more

I never got to work with Willy sadly. He seems like a nice guy and I did get to meet him once when he came over to check out the trees and give me a quote. However, when I called back to try and schedule a time to actually get the job done, he was impossible to get a hold of. The times he picked up, he would say he needed to call me back and hang up, and never call back. Other times, I just left messages. Finally I got a text message in broken English about how he can't help and I'm guessing from the text that he was having truck issues. Didn't try to tell me when it would be done or try to schedule a future date. Never have I tried so hard to give money to someone! Again, he seems like a nice guy but really could use an upgrade in his operations. I ended up going with Alvarado Tree Service and couldn't be happier with them. read more

We received a notice from the Fire Department that we needed to trim our trees away from the house. I called several tree service companies recommended by friends and none of them could come in a timely manner, and a couple didn't call me back at all. I noticed a truck parked in my neighborhood with a crew doing some tree work so I called yesterday. Willy came by to see what needed to be done and gave us an estimate the same day for the work requested by the fire department, as well as some long overdue work on a large redwood in our backyard. His prices were much more reasonable than the services recommended by our neighbors, and the trees look great now! Highly recommended! read more

We live in N Berkeley hills and had to do tree work in past couple weeks twice on short notice, including taking down large tree towering over our 2 story home. Both times Willy came to provide a quote within 48 hours and then the work was done the next day. the trees look great and he is easy to work with and nice guy and responsive. highly recommend! read more

My neighbors have a large tree that extends its branches to my 2nd story roof level that rats and squirrels were using to access my roof so I needed to get the tree cut back ASAP. I called Willy and he came out same day (within hours) to take a look and give a quote, then brought a crew of 8 with a bucket truck and a chipper to do the work the very next day. They worked very quickly and efficiently, were done in less then 2 hours. Got a great vibe from Willy and his whole crew. Only complaint is that the work came in a little over estimate. We added some branches removal on a couple of trees on the other side of the house and it was not made clear to me that would be an extra cost. Maybe my bad for not assuming it would be. Tree work is expensive, but rodents on the roof are too so we had to do it! read more

We were so impressed with Willy and his team who pruned and shaped 7 of our neglected trees! From start to finish, the project was a breeze. Willy stopped by the day we made our online request, quoted us a reasonable fee and showed up the next morning. His team worked efficiently and left our property looking beautiful. We highly recommend Willy, a certified arborist. read more

Willy and his team did a great job trimming a tree that overhangs my property. What's most impressive is how fast they work: all done with trimming and clean up in less than an hour. He's also much easier to schedule than other tree services I've contacted. Highly recommended. read more
