The food in my opinion is just okay. If you are looking for Thai food that's catered to the American palette then this place is for you. I been spoiled by traditional Thai food growing up in Los Angeles and going to Thailand 3 times.The portions are tiny and the flavor was just okay for the price. In my opinion, it's overpriced. Been wanting to try this place for awhile ever since I saw it on diner,drive in and dives.. they have couple of ur usual menu items u will find in any other Thai restaurants like pad Thai, different types of curry and etc.. my friend and I ordered the "dragon eggs" which are dumplings u can either have it steamed or crispy or half and half.. and the chicken egg rolls .. then I ordered the spicy boat dish which was pretty good.. never seen it anywhere else and my friend ordered a chicken dish.. we both enjoyed our meals.. this place is small, I suggest coming early before any lunch or dinner rush because it does get crowded pretty fast.. they have their own private parking lot in the back.. read more

This is a stellar Thai spot in Phoenix. Although it can be pricey for groups, there is something for everyone. I love the different takes on the traditional dishes that chef brings to the next level; with the added flavor in the papaya salad & classic pad Thai. Curry is always a little on the spicy side for the non spicy eaters in our house, so the Hot octopus (hot dog for kids) is a favorite of ours! read more

The service is amazing! I had one of their specialty drinks from their drinks from their menu (watermelon mojito) and it was so good...worth every penny! Moving on to the food. For my appetizer, I got the crispy chicken rolls. It came with a choice of 2 Sauces: hot or mild. I didn't try the hot sauce because I am not able to really have too much spicy food. . The mild which I'm assuming was a sweet-and-sour sauce, was so good that I started dipping my prawns in it. For my entree which was off of the dinner menu, I chose to get the pineapple prawns. The prawns were pretty large (I as they are supposed to be). It came with a sauce that contains broccoli, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, pineapple, and was a little spicy. Even though the menu doesn't say that this is a spicy dish if you don't like spicy food then this is probably not for you. I am a wimp when it comes to spicy food so this was pretty spicy for me. I don't know how the dinner is plated because I got the meals to go. So fortunately they put the sauce on the side so it was and on Everything. The prawns meal came with rice. The rice is traditional Thai rice which is really good. As far as the overall appearance of the restaurant I do like the atmosphere. The cleanliness of the restaurant is decent considering the fact that it is a mature establishment. I really enjoyed the food at this place. Great Thai food! We had a party of 10 and arrived a little after 6pm with no reservation. While it was about 30 minutes until we were seated, the bartender was attentive to us with any drinks and cocktails we wanted. Please keep in mind that this is a small restaurant with limited seating, so I recommend calling ahead if you have a party more than 4. Once we were seated, the service was great and fast! I ordered the seafood panang, and it wasn't too spicy and very flavorful. I will be back here again when visiting Phoenix! read more

We got chicken pad Thai as a tester dish for this place and while the flavors were incredible, it was REALLY dry. Granted we got take-out, so that may have had something to do with it, but just a bit more sauce would have made a world of difference. I also asked for one with peanuts on the side (it's a texture thing for my husband); the lady taking my order kind of snickered, which I thought was odd, but she repeated it back to me accurately so I didn't think much of it. Lo and behold, they both had peanuts on them. Not a huge deal, just weird and annoying. The dragon eggs were delicious, though. read more

A-OK is a good way to describe this place. I havent had anything mind blowing but it's a good thai place if youre in the neighborhood. I don't think that it was TV worthy, but maybe I just didnt get the right dish. Try it out and see if it fits your taste. The interior is cute and a nice date night spot or a night out with the girls. read more

I went to Wild Thaiger several years ago and loved it. After seeing it featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives I decided to go back. What a disappointment. The dragon eggs were hard and unexceptional. The pad Thai was dry and tasted like it had been made earlier in the day and then heated up in the microwave. The ginger fish was dry and fishy tasting. The best part of the meal was the ginger Manhattan cocktail. A really sad experience. read more

We didn't know what to expect, we've driven past it a few times and always made a mental note to check it out. We finally did and I am so glad we did. We ordered the infamous dragon eggs, half and half of course. My counter part threatened to drink the sauce if it was taken away. ‍ We ordered the chicken pad Thai hot and the galee gai regular. We will definitely order the galee gai hot next time. It was great but my personal preference tends to lean towards more spice. This is the place to go if you don't want the usual! I have to admit I was torn whether to try this place or not. Some reviews deterred me. Triple D is good but not always an accurate account in my book. I must say, I am so damn glad I tried it. It was fricking incredible. The Dragon eggz were moist and flavorful. Definitely not too salty. The sauce was the perfect balance. I had half steamed/half fried; equally as delicious just a play on textures. I couldn't decide on one dish. I knew Guy recommended Mu Yang so I was leaning towards that. However my gut was telling me there was something else on the menu that would take my breath away. Possibly a curry. I was right. I ordered Mu Yang and Beef Panang. Why not. In life you will only regret the things you didn't do. Mu Yang was flavorful and juicy. It had a wonderful char flavor from the grill. Papaya salad cut nicely through the richness. The coconut rice was sweet and delicious. The star though...the dish and moment I will remember forever is the Beef Panang. The curry was thick and flavorful. It had a depth of flavor profiles that for once stumped me. It was the perfect amount of heat. It was spicy so if you don't like spicy try something more mild in heat. I had it with vegetables instead of rice so I could really enjoy the food and attempt to finish it all! It was better with veggies! Last but not least. I was asked if I wanted dessert. Normally no but again with my gut instinct. So I inquired to see if I could find a reason not to want it. Nope. All desserts made in house from scratch. I chose Mango cheesecake. Unbelievable. Incredibly moist and flavorful. Sweet but just made the cut for not overly sweet. Crust crunchy and homemade whipped cream. What is better in life? read more

The fact that the restaurant was very close to our Airbnb, and did not require a reservation also felt like a sign to make the visit. The spot is definitely trendy, and parking was tricky. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were definitely my favorite though everything was seasoned really well and incredibly flavorful. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. The restaurant has a really sincere, home-style feel, and you can tell the food is rooted in tradition while still feeling special and elevated. A friend saw this restaurant on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and told me to try it out. We went tonight as it is 3 blocks for our condo. 530 dinner and the restaurant was empty. Cute patio but too hot and they weren't seating outdoors. Plenty of parking in the back. Interior is a little dark but nicely done with a small made up bar if you need to come alone. Guy Fieri recommends the Dragon Eggz : (dumplings) and we got one order split half fried and half steamed. The sauce is phenomenal. Loved the skillet plating and extra jalapeños. I am a sucker for Papaya Salad if done properly: The flavor was on point and they didn't put ground peanuts on theirs which is a plus for me. Definitely forgot to ask for Thai hot as there was no heat at all. Maybe they underestimated me cause my hubby is white. Beef panang curry: very tender beef like other reviews state. Flavor of the curry was very different than the norm. Much lighter in texture too and didn't have vegetables. Pad Thai with chicken: hubby said it was decent but nothing to write home about. I very much dislike coconut but how could I not try the famous coconut ice cream? We ordered the fried banana with coconut ice cream and they battered the banana in shaved coconut too. More for hubby! The ice cream flavor and texture was good. Server was excellent and I loved her accent. The entire restaurant was full by the time we left and people were waiting outside. My wife and I went to have dinner here for the first time. We arrived around 6:15. We were told there would be a 20 minute wait. As we waited we noticed several tables open. I asked about this and I was told they were preparing tables for a large group and once they were done they would assess the seating availability. The open seats were booths and a small table for 2 on the patio. A large group would not use any of these open tables. We Waite some more and when I went to see how much longer it would be I was told about 10 minutes. I reminded the hostess of the original 20 minute wait she originally stated that we were already beyond, and once again pointed out the several booths and tables that were open. She then tells me they only have 3 servers and that is why they're not seating all tables. If the hostess had been honest with me from the beginning I could have made the decision to wait or not. Instead my time was wasted. I could see the owner busy cooking in the kitchen. I would suggest she spend a little more time on the front. We wound up leaving and ate at a very nice place called Sushi Station. It wasn't Thai, but it's a very nice place, and the Sushi is really good. You should check it out. As for Wild Thai, I may give it a second chance, but the first impression has been made. I usually have my Thai fix at a wonderful little place called Sala Thai. Great food, friendly owners and staff. The complete opposite from what I experienced at Wild Thaiger. read more

Despite this, his dish arrived with a bowl of fish sauce placed directly against the rice. I am usually pretty bored with the spring rolls I order at other restaurants, but these were really good. They offer some unusual menu choices as well such as corn fritters. The flavors are unique to any Thai food I have had and the dishes are very creative. I've literally followed them to every location they've been but I believe they've found their home at the Churchill. Food can take anywhere from 10-20 minutes so we usually order in advance online so it's ready when we arrive. There's plenty of other options for drinks and a nice ambiance to eat your meal near by at the Churchill location. Definitely come before closing time because they do sell out from time to time.
