Trust your server! My friend and I had no idea what we wanted to eat so we gave the server these parameters: curry with beef, something mostly vegetables but without curry, soup. You can tell from the pictures that everything was pleasing to the eye, but the bad thing is that I lost my receipt so I can't list the names of the dishes, but everything was so flavorful and each dish was distinct so we were so glad to have trusted our server and for a fun experience, you might want to do the same. We loved the clean, quiet, well decorated atmosphere with lovely Thai art and a fun pic of Guy Fieri's visit. Even the bathroom was decorated nicely. Can hardly wait to return!
I see why the Wild Thaiger has been open all these years and I am sad that I passed it by so long ago. I am happy to say that I did not pass it by this time and met a few friends there for lunch last week. I got there before them and was warmly greeted by a server who helped push the tables together for our party of five. After checking out the menu I decided to get one of their cold sakes. It was lemon flavored, but nog too sweet. Once my friends arrived we decided to get a few appetizers, my favorite waa the chicken wraps that came with this amazing peanut sauce! It was a little hot and spicy, but full of flavor. I actually ended up adding it to my meal. I ended up getting the fat one that came with thick noodles topped with broccoli, carrots, onions, and red peppers. I enjoyed every bite until I could not! It did not help that I tried a bowl of my friends curry soup! It had just the right amount of spice with chicken, mushrooms, onions, and scallions. I would come back and eat this soup everyday if I could! Again I see why this restaurant has been open for so long. The food is great along with the service! They made us feel at home. I will be back!
The food is excellent it balances savory with functional heat and they are not stingy with the portions If you eat with your eyes first then you will be full before you ever take a bite. The service was excellent and very attentive. Restaurant is is not very big but it is clean and cozy. I am coming back here soon and you should definitely check this place out.

Came at lunch time on a Wednesday. It was not busy. We opted to sit outside because it was a nice October day and it was pretty loud inside. The good: The food had amazing flavor. I had Beef Kiewan. It was a good portion. Nice and spicy but not too spicy, and had two kinds of eggplant. It came with a spring roll, which was standard but tasty. The ok: the green beans seemed a little undercooked. Service was pretty nonexistent. After dropping off the food no one came back until we were done and ready for the check. The water didn't taste great - like melted ice. Still giving it 4 stars because the food was tasty and I'd go back and try other things.

I met up with a group of people here for dinner one evening and we were seated outside on the patio, which felt intimate as no other groups were dining out there at the same time. Even though it is the summer, it felt comfortable out there as the sun set and the misters kicked in. Our server was wonderful and handled our large party with understanding and grace, splitting our checks and making sure our waters were full. I started with the fresh rolls appetizer with tofu. These had a beautiful presentation and the quantity was good. The peanut sauce was so tasty, I could have easily used another one. The rolls were fresh as advertised, but a bit boring without any sauce. For my entree, I ordered the fat ones dish: fat rice noodles, spicy chili-garlic, basil, broccoli, carrots, sweet onions and snow peas. Again, presentation was lovely as the colors of the veggies were bright and appealing. Spice level was accurate as well, definitely spicy. However, the dish was missing more flavor, would've loved some sauce to add to it. Portion size was not as big as I expected after seeing my companions' dishes and I had no leftovers. I had an enjoyable dinner here with my group and service was excellent.
we ordered for pickup and everything was pretty smooth, except it seemed like there wasn't really a server going around attending to customers..? I picked up my food from staff directly in the (open) kitchen. food was quite average. we got the Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Pad Thai, and Beef Panang Red Curry. all the rice were mushy and overcooked. the pad thai was bland and kind of hard. the curry was decent and gave lots of beef.
Very interesting spot. We actually pulled into their parking lot to look for somewhere to eat. Decided to give it a shot. We sat outside - it was a bit noisy but our friend and my husband wanted to sit outside so there we sat . Service was great, everyone takes care of everyone. We didn't have a chance to need for anything. They were on top of it. Hubby had the Volcano said it may reminded him of a lettuce wrap you would get at PF Changs except with a nice kick. He said it had the perfect amount of heat and really liked it. My friend ordered the Broccoli Beef and she it was very tasty - she picked around it so I am hoping she was honest. She is very nice and doesn't complain much. The sticky rice is super sticky and my husband said it was delicious - so pretty authentic and everything is presented beautifully. If you do not like cilantro be sure to ask them to not put it on anything - they added it to everything. I hate Cilantro and it's not advertised on the menu that they garnish everything with it. I ordered an appetizer that was wrapped in paper and had veggies and chicken. The peanut sauce wasn't my thing, so the waitress suggested the plum sauce - wayyyy too sweet so the waiter suggested a vinegar like sauce. Did the trick as the chicken was super dry. Everyone was pleasantly surprised with the food. My husband said his pork dish was very fresh. One thing I would check is to see if they have MSG in their food. Could be a coincidence but I ended up within a migraine in about 30 minutes after having dinner.
10/10. Easily one of the best Thai spots I've ate here in Phoenix. Staff was super nice. Met with a friend and randomly decided to go here, so glad we did.
Chill lil thai spot we grabbed before we went to the Heard Museum. Lunch special pricing was great and the portion sizes fit the bill. Overall nothing crazy, just normal Thai food. Not bad.
The atmosphere was pleasant and we enjoyed dinning here for lunch. My brother and sister in law loves to eat here every time they visit Arizona. This was our first time and we really enjoyed it. The food is great... they offer different levels of spice to your dish. You can tell that everything is made fresh to order and I like that. You will definitely enjoy this restaurant if you're ever in Arizona. We will definitely dine here again when we return. Our waitress was very nice.
Wild Thaiger was more-or-less in the heart of Downtown Phoenix. The restaurant served traditional and unique food choices. The Pad Thai was presented well, the flavor was good, but leaned on the drier side. The Dragon Eggs tasted great and had a nice kick! I would compare the dessert to any typical dessert at a sit-down restaurant. Service was good and the inside of the restaurant was just fine.
So yummy! A little gem. The Mu Yang was delicious. The pork was perfect, the sticky rice was soooo good, and I loved their papaya salad. I could eat this everyday, it was so fresh, light, and tasty. My friend got one of the noodle dishes with chicken - I think The Fat One - and he got it spicy. They truly make things spicy here so be aware if you're ordering :) he loved it and orders it often. The dragon eggs were also yummy! We got half crispy and half steamed. Love the sauce they came with. I could've eaten them all myself easily. I think the inside is super cute. It's nothing fancy, but they have a great patio for when the weather is nice. We didn't get any drinks but they do have a full bar. Service was great too. Can't wait to go back!

This was the second time I've eaten from Wild Thaiger and first time sitting in the restaurant (COVID) and they did not disappoint. I ate with two others and we split the Dragon Eggz for an appetizer. Each bite was a different flavor full of delectable tastes. We did a mix of boiled and fried (highly recommend doing that unless you have a preference). I solely ate the Galee Gai, which was just the right amount of kick for a yellow curry dish. Washed it all down with a Pink Lotus and don't let the name fool you. It comes with a good amount of Hangar 1 kaffir lime vodka. read more

We got Thai food to go for NYE and it was amazing. We tried to have the food delivered but our grub hub driver pretty much stole our food and never delivered it. So we had to order again and had to pick it up. It was not the restaurant's fault, so I would suggest calling the restaurant directly to place a to go order! Food was really amazing, I got the tropical fried rice with tofu! read more

I have been going to Wild Thaiger anytime I am in Phoenix for several years. I'm from Brooklyn, NY. While I can say I've had great Thai food Wild Thaiger never disappoints. The service is always friendly and efficient. Kneetra* has been my host/server on several occasions and always provides excellent service with a smile. The food is well priced and even more tasty. Large portions, varied levels of spice available. As a vegan I am content with their offerings. Friends I bring to Wild Thaiger for the first time always return with someone new. Now it is your turn. read more

Seriously delicious! We had great service and the food was just wow! I'm a big fan of Thai food and we loved everything we ordered. The only issue we had was my husband orders Thai hot and his food wasn't nearly spicy enough to be considered Thai hot- but we were able to add more chili to it! It's our new must go to spot in Phoenix! read more

Good food! Strictly came here because it was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The Dragon Eggz (crispy) are good, not great. I ordered the Panang with chicken instead of beef and enjoyed the solid flavor which had a kick to it. Not a big fan on spicy food so I had them make it with mild spice. Girl friend ordered the Mu Yang that comes with a refreshing sticky rice and salad that had some spice to it. Not disappointed at all but like some others have indicated prior too my review, I have had better Thai food. read more

Diners, drive ins and dives listed this place as a MUST try do we did. k so first off let me explain why they didn't receive a 5 star. We came at 8pm on a Fri night and it wasn't too busy for a mom n pop spot. The lighting was HORRIBLE. I understand u want to set the mood outside but if customers tell you more than once that they can't read the menus then something needs to change. They lite a candle but it gave little to no help. We had to use our phones. Another thing we noticed is that the food took SSSOOOO long to come out! Also, by the time the food came out (3 plates at first and then another 10 minutes later) the food was luke warm. It seemed like they had plates ready but waited for the others to come out which made the rest of the food barely warm. Ok on the upside, the presentation of the food was great! We ordered beef pad Thai, tropical chicken fried rice, yellow chicken curry and peanut chicken plate. They were all very good, but the temperature of the food down played it. It all tastes great. We were so Hungry after our softball tourney that we didn't want to send it back since it took so long in the first place. Overall it's pretty good Thai food. Service was good as well. We Had a hard time understanding our waitress but we made it thru. If you're a local come try it. read more

Here are some of my favorites: Satay sampler - Chicken, beef, shrimp, served with peanut sauce and cucumber chutney Mango chicken salad - Big serving of grilled chicken, mangos, greens tossed with ginger dressing Tom Yum Gai - Your choice of protein with mushrooms and tomato in a broth of lemongrass and kaffir lime No No Pad Thai - Same concept, no noodle Mu Yang - BBQ pork, best I ever had coconut sticky rice, papaya salad If these don't tempt you to get in the car and start driving your culinary soul is a dark hole of unfeelingness. read more
The Thai Food I tried was unique and different than from other Thai Places I've been too including the sister restaurant The Little Thaiger. We sat on the comfortable covered patio. I tried the crispy spicy Corn Fritters. They were a little sweet, a little spicy and seemed very light in texture almost like eating a rice cake. The cucumber chutney was light and refreshing and went well with the corn fritters. I thought the fritters were very unique and never had anything like them before. I enjoyed the 24K, it was really delicious Thai Pumpkin, Two kinds of eggplant including Thai, fresh green beans in spicy green curry. I added chicken to the dish and it was prepared well. I thought this dish was delicious but would have been much better if they just added a little fresh basil. My husband really enjoyed the Sliced WILD BOAR in HOT red chili sauce. Service was very good. We had two servers that both checked on us several times and also offered refills before we even needed them. Tasty food but I would ask for some fresh basil next time. 3.75 stars read more
Wild Thaiger is still ,after all these years, my favorite Thai restaurant. Everything here is delicious, fresh, and made to order at the time you order it. If I could eat every day I would! Located on Central Avenue next to Durant's it's convenient, although the parking can be a little tight when they're busy. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable about the meals and friendly. It is cool inside and beautifully decorated . However, the biggest reason you go here is the delicious food we all came here yesterday for lunch. It was my first dining experience in quite a few months. They social distance the tables and it works quite well. It's still far too hot to sit outside. But, when the weather finally turns a little cooler , then sitting outside on the patio is also very nice. We got three different meals. The yellow curry ,the 24 karat curry and the Pad Thai noodles. Everything was excellent as always ,they have to go boxes for what you can't finish. Just another fantastic dining experience here read more
First time at Wild Thaiger. Had lunch on a Saturday early afternoon with my wife and daughter. It was 95 degrees but the patio was pleasant. We ordered Thai iced teas, which took a while to arrive. I don't think our waiter thought the patio was pleasant. My wife ordered the GF Pad Thai, our daughter ordered the Tofu Curry and I got Dragon Eggs and Phuket Fantasea. Lunch arrived after 25 minutes, a bit long for lunch. The Pad Thai was good. All the elements were served apart from each other, so you could mix ingredients as you wish - nice touch. The Curry and Fantasea were both good as well. The prices were fairly steep though. My Dragon Eggs (dumplings) were $9 and the Phuket Fantasea was $18. All-in-all, the bill was $60+ plus tip. That's a pricey lunch, even for Thai food. I may try it again, going with less expensive dishes and hope for better service. read more

Wild Thaiger is pretty good. A more accurate rating would probably be 3.5 stars though. I went around 5:30 PM on a week day. No wait which was nice. It's right downtown a couple blocks from a light rail stop - great location (pro tip: don't park in the lot on the south side of the building - use the one behind it or you'll be ticketed!). It has a large patio too. I ordered a boba Thai Tea and the veggie tofu pad thai. I thought both were good - not the best Thai food I've ever had but a solid contender. My husband was not crazy about his dish (although it certainly looked cool - I posted a photo). He kept picking out what looked like some sort of vegetable that was really hard and chewy, he described it like chewing on gristle. Not sure what it was but he wasn't a fan. The service leaves something to be desired. It's a sit down restaurant but the customer experience is not the priority (which is fine for a quick meal after work for me). Our servers were effective and prompt nonetheless. I wouldn't say no if a friend wanted to go again. I'd definitely order the tea a second time! read more
I was on my own for lunch so thought I would check out this place that was by my work and am I glad I did. When I walked in u could hear the pans banging in the kitchen and the fresh food being cooked to order. I sat at the bar and was welcomed by the friendly staff. I ordered the iced tea and was pleased to taste the notes of raspberry and jasmine in the green tea beverage. It was light and refreshing, no extra sweetener needed. I didn't have to wait long to receive my huge plate of the lunch special Chicken Pad Thai. It had cool cabbage and bean sprouts with scallions next to the hot rice noodles and chicken with a savory sauce topped with beats and cilantro. I ordered the medium heat level which had a slight kick, will go for full spicy next time but not the super spicy which is the one level above. It was fab, I will be back! read more

Wild Thaiger is good freaking Thai food. I'm so mad that we finally just tried it because we've really been missing out. We loved the patio, it was so nice to be outside!! We started with the satay sampler and the corn fritters, they were outstanding. We flirted with entree options for a while before we committed, I opted for the beef panang curry (my go to Thai dish) and my fiancée got The Fat One dish. I slugged down a big Tsingtao while we enjoyed our apps. We got our entrees and I was really wowed by the presentation of the panang curry. The taste was really good, it had some nice heat to it that was flavorful but didn't singe my taste buds. The Fat One was really good too, pretty much like a Drunken Noodle dish most other places offer. I ordered a Marooned cocktail, which was a little more foofy than I get - the cocktail was fabulous, basically a booze ice cream sundae with coffee. read more

This is incredible. I have been coming here for two years. The food was ok sometimes. They always messed up the order. I felt always being treated bad and had to wait for my order or food for 30-40 min even when I call ahead. So tonight I waited for 30 min the waitress never came and then I went to her she said she was told the manager said not to serve me and she should be afraid of my kind of people. I'm middle eastern and brownish. I was so hurt the waitress With the blue hair laughed and said the manager can serve anyone they like. The other waitress made a mistake and showed me a note on with my name on it stating not to serve me or my people !! what they don't know is I order for my staff once or twice a week over 200$ but I always have someone else pick it up. NEVER AGAIN VERY HURTFUL RACISM IS ALIVE AND WELL IN 2018. Very sad. I will not ever support this establishment and I hope you don't either. Racist people come in all shape and ethnicities. Good food -temperature, flavor, presentation, portion size, price-. I'm definitely recommending this place and the food. Will be back my next trip to AZ. This place ROCKS! Every time I've been has been excellent service and excellent food! Today we had the corn fritters, which were out of this world, and a veggie pad Thai. Absolutely delicious! I also had a Kirin light which was ice cold and sooooo good. I found out today that they also offer gift cards which is very cool! read more
Honestly the flavor of the Tom Ka Gai is just REALLY good. I've had a lot of Tom ka at various Thai places and the lemongrass gingery lime leave flavor of this place is just so good. There are whole pieces of lemongrass, ginger, etc that is not edible and you will have to pick out yourself while eating...but that's what makes the broth so flavorful. I deducted a star because I wasn't as impressed with my panang and yellow curry entrees. Still very good though! read more

To start, the food was delicious and the service, just service. No suggestions or help with the menu. I ordered something I was familiar with and wasn't disappointed. The style of the food was different but delicious! I would go back to try new things. I had curry chicken and chicken egg rolls deep fried. Yes, chicken egg rolls. Those were yum, curry chicken was average. My brother had phad thai, he loved it. read more

Cute and Romantic place to have a lovely dinner Food was made fresh right after we ordered. Prices are reasonable. I'm vegetarian who enjoys a restaurant when there are vegan and vegetarian options on the menus. Makes me delighted and when service is good and food is delicious and organic (!) We came for lunch and the menu had a lot to choose from including lunch specials. I went with the mu yang and was not disappointed. While the rice was filling I could have ate more of it, the flavor was excellent and really complimented the papaya salad and pork. My husband ordered the beef oyster sauce and the presentation was nice but it needed more flavor. Our server brought by some hot sauce options. I would definitely return if the occasion arose. read more

This is about my 1st time here: PROS: -Delicious Pad Thai & Panang Curry. -They have indoor & outdoor seating. -One of the male servers was very friendly & refilled our waters constantly. CONS: -Menu is kind of confusing. -When it got busier later in the night, it took a long time for my table to get our split checks. -Their drinks are expensive. -This Thai restaurant is on the more pricier side. -It's small inside. The American parties like to talk very loud. read more
My sisters and mom decided to have a girls day out for Mother's Day Weekend. My sister suggested we go to Wild Thaiger. I always love trying new Thai food so I was excited for this new experience. The service was great. We received water right away when we arrived. Our waitress was attentive and quick to take our order. Food came to the table quickly as well. The food was really good. I ordered the chicken fried rice, a thai tea and a mango sticky rice. Everything tasted so great. I asked for extra heat and they put jalapenos in my rice for me. We sat in the restaurant for about 3 hours talking and our waitress asked us if we needed waters during our time there. This is a friendly restaurant and I hope you enjoy the food as much as we did! read more
