Good food! Strictly came here because it was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The Dragon Eggz (crispy) are good, not great. I ordered the Panang with chicken instead of beef and enjoyed the solid flavor which had a kick to it. Not a big fan on spicy food so I had them make it with mild spice. Girl friend ordered the Mu Yang that comes with a refreshing sticky rice and salad that had some spice to it. Wild Thaiger is still ,after all these years, my favorite Thai restaurant. Everything here is delicious, fresh, and made to order at the time you order it. If I could eat every day I would! Located on Central Avenue next to Durant's it's convenient, although the parking can be a little tight when they're busy. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable about the meals and friendly. It is cool inside and beautifully decorated . However, the biggest reason you go here is the delicious food we all came here yesterday for lunch. It was my first dining experience in quite a few months. They social distance the tables and it works quite well. It's still far too hot to sit outside. But, when the weather finally turns a little cooler , then sitting outside on the patio is also very nice. We got three different meals. The yellow curry ,the 24 karat curry and the Pad Thai noodles. Everything was excellent as always ,they have to go boxes for what you can't finish. Just another fantastic dining experience here read more

Oh my goodness. My and my friend came here and it was OUTSTANDING! We had some kind of dumpling, then chicken satay which was so good. The flavors in you mouth... It like a party! Then I had the chicken pad Thai and the flavors were to die for. And then my friend got this soup... chicken, shrimp, veggies and glass noodles. So good. Highly recommended! Oh and their tea... Blackberry, jasmine and green. When it came to the table I thought it was just green tea and I don't like green tea, but to my surprise. Such a great flower of tea! Enjoy! read more

I was on my own for lunch so thought I would check out this place that was by my work and am I glad I did. When I walked in u could hear the pans banging in the kitchen and the fresh food being cooked to order. I sat at the bar and was welcomed by the friendly staff. I ordered the iced tea and was pleased to taste the notes of raspberry and jasmine in the green tea beverage. It was light and refreshing, no extra sweetener needed. I didn't have to wait long to receive my huge plate of the lunch special Chicken Pad Thai. It had cool cabbage and bean sprouts with scallions next to the hot rice noodles and chicken with a savory sauce topped with beats and cilantro. I ordered the medium heat level which had a slight kick, will go for full spicy next time but not the super spicy which is the one level above. It was fab, I will be back! read more

Wild Thaiger is pretty good. A more accurate rating would probably be 3.5 stars though. I went around 5:30 PM on a week day. No wait which was nice. It's right downtown a couple blocks from a light rail stop - great location (pro tip: don't park in the lot on the south side of the building - use the one behind it or you'll be ticketed!). It has a large patio too. I ordered a boba Thai Tea and the veggie tofu pad thai. I thought both were good - not the best Thai food I've ever had but a solid contender. My husband was not crazy about his dish (although it certainly looked cool - I posted a photo). He kept picking out what looked like some sort of vegetable that was really hard and chewy, he described it like chewing on gristle. Not sure what it was but he wasn't a fan. The service leaves something to be desired. It's a sit down restaurant but the customer experience is not the priority (which is fine for a quick meal after work for me). Our servers were effective and prompt nonetheless. I wouldn't say no if a friend wanted to go again. I'd definitely order the tea a second time! read more

The portion size was alright... the plate was taken up by a lot of bean sprouts and other greens (as seen in many of the photos). I will definitely be back to try their other dishes though! Wild Thaiger is good freaking Thai food. I'm so mad that we finally just tried it because we've really been missing out. We loved the patio, it was so nice to be outside!! We started with the satay sampler and the corn fritters, they were outstanding. We flirted with entree options for a while before we committed, I opted for the beef panang curry (my go to Thai dish) and my fiancée got The Fat One dish. I slugged down a big Tsingtao while we enjoyed our apps. We got our entrees and I was really wowed by the presentation of the panang curry. The taste was really good, it had some nice heat to it that was flavorful but didn't singe my taste buds. The Fat One was really good too, pretty much like a Drunken Noodle dish most other places offer. I ordered a Marooned cocktail, which was a little more foofy than I get - the cocktail was fabulous, basically a booze ice cream sundae with coffee. read more

This is incredible. I have been coming here for two years. The food was ok sometimes. They always messed up the order. I felt always being treated bad and had to wait for my order or food for 30-40 min even when I call ahead. So tonight I waited for 30 min the waitress never came and then I went to her she said she was told the manager said not to serve me and she should be afraid of my kind of people. I'm middle eastern and brownish. I was so hurt the waitress With the blue hair laughed and said the manager can serve anyone they like. The other waitress made a mistake and showed me a note on with my name on it stating not to serve me or my people !! what they don't know is I order for my staff once or twice a week over 200$ but I always have someone else pick it up. Diners, drive ins and dives listed this place as a MUST try do we did. k so first off let me explain why they didn't receive a 5 star. We came at 8pm on a Fri night and it wasn't too busy for a mom n pop spot. The lighting was HORRIBLE. I understand u want to set the mood outside but if customers tell you more than once that they can't read the menus then something needs to change. They lite a candle but it gave little to no help. We had to use our phones. Another thing we noticed is that the food took SSSOOOO long to come out! Also, by the time the food came out (3 plates at first and then another 10 minutes later) the food was luke warm. It seemed like they had plates ready but waited for the others to come out which made the rest of the food barely warm. Ok on the upside, the presentation of the food was great! We ordered beef pad Thai, tropical chicken fried rice, yellow chicken curry and peanut chicken plate. They were all very good, but the temperature of the food down played it. It all tastes great. We were so Hungry after our softball tourney that we didn't want to send it back since it took so long in the first place. Overall it's pretty good Thai food. Service was good as well. The Thai Food I tried was unique and different than from other Thai Places I've been too including the sister restaurant The Little Thaiger. We sat on the comfortable covered patio. I tried the crispy spicy Corn Fritters. They were a little sweet, a little spicy and seemed very light in texture almost like eating a rice cake. The cucumber chutney was light and refreshing and went well with the corn fritters. I thought the fritters were very unique and never had anything like them before. I enjoyed the 24K, it was really delicious Thai Pumpkin, Two kinds of eggplant including Thai, fresh green beans in spicy green curry. I added chicken to the dish and it was prepared well. I thought this dish was delicious but would have been much better if they just added a little fresh basil. My husband really enjoyed the Sliced WILD BOAR in HOT red chili sauce. Service was very good. We had two servers that both checked on us several times and also offered refills before we even needed them. Tasty food but I would ask for some fresh basil next time. 3.75 stars read more

First time at Wild Thaiger. Had lunch on a Saturday early afternoon with my wife and daughter. It was 95 degrees but the patio was pleasant. We ordered Thai iced teas, which took a while to arrive. I don't think our waiter thought the patio was pleasant. My wife ordered the GF Pad Thai, our daughter ordered the Tofu Curry and I got Dragon Eggs and Phuket Fantasea. Lunch arrived after 25 minutes, a bit long for lunch. The Pad Thai was good. All the elements were served apart from each other, so you could mix ingredients as you wish - nice touch. The Curry and Fantasea were both good as well. The prices were fairly steep though. My Dragon Eggs (dumplings) were $9 and the Phuket Fantasea was $18. All-in-all, the bill was $60+ plus tip. That's a pricey lunch, even for Thai food. I may try it again, going with less expensive dishes and hope for better service. read more

Nonetheless, after asking for a few minutes to look over the menu, our waiter disappeared and never came back. We flagged down another employee who got the waiter. After we got the food, he checked on us once and disappeared. We never saw him again. A young woman brought the check after we flagged down yet another employee and asked. Really, where were all the servers? It was also disappointing to me that the bill was not clear. On one side was 4 * $6.50 for drinks but no drink total anywhere. On the other side was our two entrees, each with a price, and then a grand total. Honestly the flavor of the Tom Ka Gai is just REALLY good. I've had a lot of Tom ka at various Thai places and the lemongrass gingery lime leave flavor of this place is just so good. There are whole pieces of lemongrass, ginger, etc that is not edible and you will have to pick out yourself while eating...but that's what makes the broth so flavorful. I deducted a star because I wasn't as impressed with my panang and yellow curry entrees. Still very good though! read more

We enjoyed our meal here. The atmosphere INSIDE was pleasant and quiet enough to where we could converse. We were also the only people in the place at 5:30 on a Wednesday night. It started filling up a lot by the time we left around 6:30. The heated patio in front looked inviting but the road noise from Central Ave was a bit too loud and distracting. Service was friendly and non-rushed. Prices are average for a place like this. We felt we got our money's worth. I had the Thai Forbidden Fried rice dish with vegetables. It was perfect and even brought some home. Hubby got Pad Thai I think. He enjoyed it also. The place is clean and the service was good, not overly friendly, but enough. I ate here at the suggestion of a friend. This place was featured on Triple D but I'm not sure why. It's not a dive and while the dishes that were on the show are good, the curries and the basil dishes are so much better than their dumplings. It genuinely tasted overly sugary. The meat was juicy but not my cup of tea. The pad sie ew was so sweet like we were eating sugary cereal. Cocktails were fine.it was just very off putting and grossed me out to where I couldn't have more than a few bites. Made me super nauseous. The service was great. We received water right away when we arrived. Our waitress was attentive and quick to take our order. Food came to the table quickly as well. The food was really good. I ordered the chicken fried rice, a thai tea and a mango sticky rice. Everything tasted so great. I asked for extra heat and they put jalapenos in my rice for me. We sat in the restaurant for about 3 hours talking and our waitress asked us if we needed waters during our time there.
