How I used to love this place for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Great food and cocktails, the right balance of foodie and real. A friend and I went last night and had some pretty crap food. Examples: kale salad was entirely lettuce; soup was tepid; mains were plated as if by a lunch lady, cheese plate consisted of apple sauce, whole-grain mustard, and two giant blocks of -- I $hit thee not -- Kraft cheese from the dairy aisle of the grocery store. Our server was lovely and it was just such a shame. In the early days and under chef Jason Horwitz, this place was amazing. Now it's like a bad franchise. read more

EPIC! Just can't say enough about the hospitality, the food and the ambiance. Great vibe, and a flawless FOH combined with a kitchen headed up by Executive Chef Jason Horwitz. This team knows how to deliver! Super menu with so many wonderful choices. My followers know I always order apps first while we talk and delve into the dinner possibilities. As I looked at the app portion of the menu, this foodie smiled because as I read each possibility aloud to our group, I found myself saying "ooooooooh, I could go for that". The only problem was that reaction held constant for EVERY appetizer listed! (Not a problem!) We settled on 4... the meatballs, the mussels, the brussels and the crab mac & cheese. My only regret was not including the onion rings to the mix, so... I'll be be back next week to sample them! The portions were huuuuge and the crab mac & cheese was perfection! Classic recipe, creamy and cheesy and loaded with blue crab! Loved the iron skillet serving of meatballs n sauce with some cheese bread... makes me regret not sampling the spaghetti and meatballs! The sauce had incredible depth and the meatballs were tender and seasoned to perfection. Lori came by and said they were going to make them larger... if that's the case, then Vic and Angelos in Delray has some serious meatball competition!!! Great delivery of a classic that tasted phenomenal, and lets not forget about the brussels, which everyone raved about! Dinners were a mix of lamb shank (killer), the pork chop (wow), a bacon grilled cheese (holy cow). The lamb shank rivaled that of Michelin starred spots I've been to, at a portion of the price. The main course options were plentiful, with fresh happy ingredients which will surely delight. Thank you Lori!!! You crushed it again! We are regulars for a reason... If you haven't been here, I suggest you add it to your short list of happy consistent places, with a staff that cares, a chef that can really cook, and owner that knows how to deliver a fantastic evening of great food at reasonable prices. Go eat and enjoy, you'll be so glad you did!!! read more

Wow, this place is awesome!!! It was our friend's bday and we were gunna make our usual Golden West trip but decided to check this new place out. It has been empty, burnt down, and sad for almost the past two years so I honestly didn't have very high hopes. What we walked into was a lovely, rustic, little tavern. When we arrived our two friends were already there smashing on Cesar salads and butternut squash soup. They also ordered a really good bottle of Rioja from the pretty extensive but not overbearing wine list. They had also ordered the Strawberry Basil Crush which was so good I had to order one for myself despite the fact that I still had a full glass of wine. We all shared their food and drink until our waiter came for the rest of our order. Not sure what his name was but he was really nice and attentive. We ordered the crab mac & cheese and Brussel sprouts for the table. The mac and cheese was SO delicious. Not really your traditional mac because it wasn't super cheesy, but the flavor was on point! The sprouts were equally as good. For entrees I got a crab cake sandwich while everyone else got burgers. Everything was delicious although I felt like the crab cake could've been a little bigger (I'm greedy though, lol). We got the Berger Cookie Sundae and the wine cream for dessert. The Sundae was insanely delicious as was the boozy wine cream. All in all, this place is doing great things. The food is so good and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We will be back very soon. read more

Not great 21 for crabcake sandwich that was mostly filler.mac and cheese very dry and undercooked. Won't be back.

I had brunch here with a small group of people - while we sat at the bar and waited for some of our party to arrive/seating we ordered two donuts and Bloodys which were great. We waited about 1.5 hours to be seated all the while there was ample seating that could have accommodated a group of 5. Once we were seated our waitress checked in twice and didn't bother clearing the table even though we were clearly finished with our plates for 30+ minutes. The wait and service aside, the food was fantastic, as was the ambiance and environment. read more

Stopped on our way from CT to Richmond, excellent! Friendly staff, great beer choices and food. Loved the rustic atmosphere and nice bar. We had the nurish bowl so tasty, crab mac and cheese and Tuscan chicken sandwich. Definitely worth the stop! read more

Really liked the food here and the service was great. Will definitely be back again! Thanks again for the wonderful time!

I came here for dinner. I liked customer service but my burger was burnt. I ordered medium and then after a couple bites I realized it was burnt. I thought it would start tasting better but didnt happen. I got the wicked burger. The onion rings was hard and weird. I think they are friendly but overall average restaurant. I wish I had gone somewhere else. I wouldn't come back. read more

Hanging out in Hampden on a Thursday night and decided to stop in to see Jeff Wallace. Needed a drink recommendation and Danny gave me a sample of the Elderberry Mead. Im not a beer drinker but I loved it! I ordered a glass and it will probably be my go to beer from now on. Thanks Danny for the recommendation! read more

We were visiting Baltimore over the holidays and looked this place up on yelp. Looked great online but when we got there, they had a ceiling leak they weren't tending to, plus the employees and owner were sitting in a booth and discussing their internal stuff right next to us.. We got to hear about all their drama, the whole time. A little unprofessional. Food was OK at best. The mac+cheese with crab dish had barely any crab! The place has potential. They need to work on food and employees need to be professional. People come to relax and have a drink not listen to drama. read more

You'd never guess they've only been open one month as everything was flawless and great - service, food, and a very cool atmosphere. Brussel sprouts appetizer were the type of culinary treat you could eat 50 of by yourself, but they were not to be outdone by the incredible crab mac-n-cheese. Our large group loved their entree salads, burgers and crab cakes sandwiches as well. We will definitely be visiting wicked sisters again, it's definitely worth the trip to Hampden, hon. read more

Wish I could give 4.5 stars; because we only had a late lunch, didn't get to taste all of their wares, but what I had was very top notch. Went there at 3ish on a cold wintry day & made to feel comfortable at once. Ordered from the back bar menu, ample selections for meat or veggie lover. Killer meatballs in a meaty sauce, redolent of tomato, herbs & garlic, but not overpowering. The meat was moist and juicy, perfect for meatballs. Friend had insanity burger on a large Brioche roll, toasted, she said that it was fantastic, esp. the Siricha Bacon! I had two hard ciders, yum, although lots of beers and some wines by glass. Shared a dessert and the coffee was delicious. Good prices for such great food. Also, free parking on Falls Road. Can't wait to come back with my vegetarian son. Great vibe with songs from the past. read more

New spot that is pretty cool. Good old fashioned. Small game room with a shuffle board table. Open design on seating. Worth checking out.

Farmhouse Chic. The Brussels Sprouts are amazing with spicy honey fried goodness. Brunch menu is filled with variety and different takes on traditional favorites! The insanity burger lives up to its rep. read more

Love Wicked Sisters. Have a nice atmosphere and decor. Have a great beer selection as well as interesting cocktails! My friend wanted to come for the vegan week. She was very pleased with their courses. On the main dish they forgot to add the edamame pesto and when my friend mentioned it to the server they brought a side of it out and took the whole entree off the bill without her even asking. Great customer service. I opted for a beer and the mussels which were great. Came with garlic cheesy bread ( who doesn't love that) and utz potato chips! Definitely would recommend this place read more

We went for lunch, so it may not be fair to say the food was "meh." Small portions and very average. They did have excellent service, but for me, it is all about the food. read more

Food very good on Dinner menu however lunch menu could be improved. We ordered take out for dinner and the food was Great! The baked chicken very tender and moist...yum! My picky 12 yr old enjoyed the flatbread pizza. Visited the restaurant for lunch recently n was less pleased. The toast for crab dip was awful I had to request more, the soda was flat couldn't even drink it and after advising waitress nothing done and I know she knew it was disgusting because my husband and daughter didn't even drink it. OAN fries were excellent, service could have been better was very slow and establishment wasn't busy! read more

Literally so delicious. The insanity burger is a 10/10!! Highly recommend this place. We found this accident, and ended up loving it! All the staff are so nice and friendly. Definitely recommend! read more

Went here with a small group for some late night snacks on a visit from San Diego. The place was pretty and well lit. We orders several small plates. The Brussels sprouts were amazing, sweet and spicy. Beef salad was tasty. Pickle chicken frites were kind of dry, might have been better using thigh instead of breast meat. Nice drink menu and beer selection. Had a small selection of non-alcoholic drinks for the straight edge kids like myself. Had some kind of faux mojito that was nice and refreshing. Would return if I'm ever in Baltimore. read more

Underwhelmed. This is our third visit to this restaurant and I don't know what happened, but the food seems to have gone way downhill. I had a salad that was completely overdressed in a very sweet dressing. My daughter had the mushroom bahn mi sandwich that came highly recommended by the waitress. It consisted of a baguette roughly the size of a loaf of wonder bread and no more than a 1/4 cup of filling which included - absolutely serious - 3 small strips of mushroom, an entire jalapeño and about five leaves of spinach on each 1/2 of the loaf sized baguette. read more

This place was amazing! A super fun and tasty place to eat in Baltimore. Here's why I loved it: 1. The atmosphere: it was fun and classy with access to a TV with the game on from almost anywhere. I dressed up but it was not overly formal. 2. The food: amazing flavor on a menu that is straight forward. Classic tavern food with a fun twist. We had the Brussels sprouts, meatballs and wedge salad. Everything was awesome. Cool flavors on the sprouts. The meatballs were straightforward but bursting with flavor (and came with cheesy bread too). The wedge salad had an amazing, house made dressing and enough blue cheese and bacon to make it mouthwatering. 3. Portions: like I said, 2 people had two appetizers and a salad, and we left full. You can easily do small plates to share or get entrees for each person and it will be great. 4. The price: extremely reasonable. We got drinks, 2 appetizers, a salad, and coffee at the end for around $50. Hard to beat the great price for the quality. 5. The drinks: fun mixed drinks, a great wine list, solid fraught beer list and long canned/bottled beer list. Can't go wrong. 6. The people: excellent service and everyone was super friendly. Good for families, date night, or night out with friends. You need to check it out. This place rocks! read more

Tough to write a review of a spot in their first week but these folks a LOT of kinks to work out. Service was awkward and slow - an overall 2. Issues seem to be across the board - bar took a long time to turn an order, staff clearly still learning the systems and the kitchen totally in the weeds. Time will tell if this gets fixed. Food was truly meh - not bad but nothing of distinction, an overall 3. A couple of positives were the fried spinach and the wedge salad. The "Everything Bagel" style salmon was also pretty good. Brussel sprouts were solid but nothing truly special. The famed Raclette was a good portion but the potatoes, which were cut too big and generally under cooked, overwhelm the dish and lacked any flavor. Crab cake is over seasoned but just about everything else needed salt. Tomato Fennel soup was heavy on the tomato and indistinguishable on the fennel - and yes, lacked any seasoning. Other sides totally missed the mark. The space is great and once these guys get some wind in their sails, there's a lot of upside here. The brunch menu looks promising and worth a shot. Available valet parking is a HUGE plus - as street parking is tough. Hope these guys make it - they'd be a great option in this neck of the woods. read more

My wife wanted to go some pIace new for her birthday and by luck I had driven by WS several times and the name stuck in my head. Let me just say this, I think we found our new favorite restaurant ! Prices are quite reasonable for the quality of food... Service was outstanding, Food was excellent, Drinks were top notch, plus valet service to boot. Truly an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. read more

I've been to Wicked Sisters Tavern several times, and always enjoy the food, atmosphere, and service. An extra bonus is that there has been easy parking every time, something that is rare in the area. Highlights from a food perspective would be pretty much everything on the appetizer menu, and the Wicked Rachel sandwich is fantastic. Also, have stopped in late night for an occasional drink, and the service was quick and efficient. Two thumbs up! read more

The insanity burger with the fries is amazing! This place is everything Hampden was missing. Make a reservation because it is very crowded.

Great eclectic atmosphere! Waffle sandwich was totally delish! Friendly consultative waiter! Creative mocktails compliment the meal! This is a great place! read more

Review is based on dinner on Saturday night. The space is really cool, complete with two bars (upstairs and downstairs.) There is complimentary valet, which is welcome in a crowded neighborhood. Their draft beer list is pretty nice, with local breweries well represented. The appetizer list is amazing. We opted for the sriracha-glazed Brussels sprouts which were fantastic! Some of the best I've ever had. Lots of delicious looking mains, too. I opted for the catfish with rice and beans. The catfish was perfectly blackened with a nice tropical salsa on top. Incredibly executed. Sadly, the rice and beans portion of the plate was bland and seemed to be an afterthought. I'd try another one of the amazing sounding mains next time. Our server was really friendly and attentive. Only other downside is that it was a freezing night and there was a draft coming in each time the door opened. Not a huge deal, but kind of annoying. All in all, really neat spot for a nice dinner or drinks/apps at the bar. Looking forward to returning. read more

Tried this place this past weekend with my boyfriend! Split 3 appetizers, Brussel sprouts, wings, and meatballs! Everything was delicious and very fresh. I did not like this place. The only good thing was that after I had my meal and was prepared to leave the cook asked me how was the food and I said "it was ok" because my Brussels sprouts cane out burned, he offered to make me a new batch to go. But the bartender never said hello and when I first complained about my food being burnt the bar tender tried to tell me that how they were cooked. They were burned to a crisp! read more

One of my favorite brunch places in Baltimore. The burgers are good, and the mixed drinks are interesting, balanced takes on traditional cocktails. The Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese also really stand out. There are other, more crowded places in Hampden that aren't nearly as good!! read more

We brought our 5 1/2 month old and sat upstairs near the windows. Our server, another server who put the shades down for us (without us having to ask) and two women (I think one may be a manager and another an owner?) were very accommodating and eager to ensure that we were comfortable and had a great meal. We had the mussels, the special steak salad, crab cake sandwich (I grew up on the shore, I know my crab cakes), and smith island cake. All were delicious!! We will definitely be back and recommend this place to others. read more
