I love Pho on a cold, wet winter day ... or if I have a head cold and want something to help clear our my stuffed up nose . The problem I've always struggled with was finding a decent bowl of Pho that WASN'T prepared and served in a disgustingly dirty restaurant. There seems to be some unholy connection between the two factors. Clean places have so-so Pho, and dirty, gross places have amazing Pho , at least in my experience. The White Lotus is in a fairly new strip mall, and kinda upscale for a Pho joint. The decor suggests an Italian bistro , or maybe a coffee shop , a'la Starbucks. It's a very clean, nice environment. Okay, you can probably guess what's coming next : The Pho is just average . It's not BAD by any means, in fact it's quite tasty. But it isn't "WOW ! " good .... just plain old good . However, a couple of other menu items are REALLY good, such as the Lemongrass Beef Vermicelli. Yum ! The Vietnamese BBQ sandwiches are also very good, served on a crusty french mini-baguette ....although at $3.99 they should stuff a bit more meat in them , IMO. This place is somewhat close to my home, so I eat lunch there at least once a month , and I enjoy it. That being said, I'm not under any delusion that this is really, really standout Pho . But since most of the truly great, transcendent Pho I've had around here was served in places that were so stinky, filthy dirty that I was in fear of my gastrointestinal health , I'm willing to compromise. This coming from a guy who has traveled the world and eaten food from some legitimately scary places MANY times, so I'm not some hypersensitive wimp who sees a dead fly in the window pane, or a water spot on a glass, and freaks out about it. The search for that clean noodle house with the amazing Pho continues, and if I ever find it , my fellow Yelpers will be notified without delay. Until then, White Lotus will be a semi-regular stop for me , when that Pho cravin' strikes. read more

This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the Everett area. Service is great and the food is very tasty!! Love the BBQ pork sandwich and the Pho soup is very big, non expensive and delicious. Recently tried the garlic chicken. That was very good, however if you do not like garlic don't get it. After you eat this dish you reek of garlic for a good 24 hours!! read more

You will receive terrible attitude from the young lady who takes orders and seats you from the moment you walk in. No sense of customer service seems as if you are bothering her day snd inconveniencing her. Food is pretty good but the service makes it unenjoyable when you sign your receipt they try to tell you their machine doesn't work so you have to tip a certain amount for it to work. If you like pho, this place is good for you. The pho had delicious broth, was a good price, and there were lots of options (Including steak, brisket, flank, tendon, tripe, and meatballs). It comes in three sizes, so you don't have to order a huge serving (but you can). Basically it was well-prepared, but pretty much standard pho. The calamari was mostly fried batter, and not very tasty. No plates were given so it was a mess. Too much batter, not enough flavor. The orange chicken is very fried. I love this place. I get takeout from here at least once a week because their pho is so delicious and they're always accommodating with any modifications I request (I always like extra jalapeños). It's always made to the same spectacular standard and it's always ready when I come to pick it up. They're also super sweet when I go in and they recognize me right away. Finally decided to give you a review. Customer service is awful, even though we were regular customers here, the hostess/server never welcomed us as she did to others. I would not be surprised if they serve DOG instead of pork. This is the 2nd time I ordered Grilled WHITE chicken for my vermicelli and she confirmed it was white chicken, c'mon! I love white meat (breast chicken and wings) and you cannot fool me with that! Anyway, I got my order and indeed, it was not white chicken, the WORST and Disgusting part is that it was DUCK!! Please anyone knows what to do in this situation? Should I sue them? I know how duck tastes, and don't like one bit. The lady saw me taking a picture of my plate and she ( for the first time ever) asked if everything was okay with my food, and insisted it was white chicken & she said that " for them" everything is white meat. For more than 3 consecutive months they've been out it toilet seat covers and there is a lot spiders webs inside the restroom. Last but not least the doors and floors are filthy. After reading the reviews i was excited to try this place near me. Went in at 11:30am only customer. The fresh spring roles were dried out and shrimp was very stinky rate 0. Pho special broth not very good, weak not like expected. Rate 2. Baun mi i would give a 3 rating pork very much gristle and cucumber log was massive. Many more people came in and looked like regulars, so who know, my be good enough for most. Customer service bad no talk, or ask how is food or anything. Place not cleaned even tables very sticky. This place is pretty good! I have never had orange chicken that tasted so authentically orange and their portions are very large. Prices are definitely reasonable for the amount of food that you get and the quality of it. The restaurant is clean and decorated nicely, it is a very warm and inviting place to enjoy some authentic Vietnamese cuisine! My only complaint here is with the service. Our server never checked on us for refills (and I desperately was trying to get her attention for more water) and in the end we were unsure how to pay. Turns out you finish your food and go to the front to pay your bill before they give you any sort of total or ticket. This is a bit odd for a sit down, eat in style of restaurant but whatever. I've personally never had a bad experience here. The same waitress is always there to take your orders and such. She's sweet and funny ^_^ and she NEVER forgets what my usual is! Lol I love that. The bubble tea is great. The Phó is awesome. The only problem I've ever experienced is when I was trying to go there when it says it opened and they didn't open till about an hour later. White Lotus like the other review said is where the old Papaya Tree used to be. I'm glad they changed ownership. The food here is fantastic I go about twice a week. The pho here is good, nothing extraordinary but still better than many. The Bun Bo Hue stands out, it's very traditional in flavor and garnish, something my grandmother would make. They have a variety of rice dishes as well, and wonderful desserts such as french style flan, and banana cakes FOR $2! That's a steal in my book. Our waitress was really rude to my friend and I. All because we asked for side veggies with a dish. She came back with napkins. My friend tried to tell her again and she came back with forks. It's not our fault she doesn't understand english. But she ignored us the whole time after that. Never came back to check on us and purposely avoided our table as she helped others just across from us. Finally, we had to ask for the bill, so we went to the register. She saw us, and without any eye contact she said for us to wait at our table. When she handed us the bill she practically left so fast that she didn't even see my friend already had her card out ready to give to her. It was embarassing. One of my very favorite Vietnamese restaurants! Their vegetarian Pho is my favorite and the spring rolls (a.k.a. "summer rolls") are to die for! Peanut dipping sauce is absolutely perfect - not too much hoisin sauce, not too much peanut butter. Menu has TONS of offerings and accommodates nearly any picky eater. Service is with a smile and very speedy. Employees have always been really nice and friendly and never rush you if you are with a group of friends and want to stay and chat for a bit. White Lotus has the best thai tea Ive EVER had. And trust me Ive tried thai tea from numerous places. Nothing compares. There was a point in time where I would get it every day for weeks. Been meaning to try this place with my girlfriend so we decided to stop by here while my car was in the shop down the street. Food was good. Little small corner restaurant which was cool. Girlfriend got the pho which was pretty tasty. A little on the sweet side but still good nonetheless. I ordered the chicken vermicelli, which was tasty as well (Fish sauce was a little sweet, but I can't expect moms hot fish sauce at restaurants). She immediately got angry and said we should have showed the coupon at the beginning, when I'm not sure why that would have even matter so what you could spit in our food? I wanted to like this really, really bad. The decor is much nicer than your average Pho place, nice server, clean. However the food was not where it's at. Hubby and I shared a vegetarian spring roll. It was OK except it was just lettuce, tofu and noodles. This is one of my favorite foods (I even make it at home) and I am used to some carrots, sprouts and more veg. It just wasn't very satisfying. I ordered the Lemongrass Tofu bowl and explained I was vegetarian and didn't want fish sauce and I needed to make sure it was gluten free. The server asked all the right questions to lead me to believe that she understood what I was talking about. My food came and I smelled the sauce. When I asked her what it was - fish sauce. She didn't even act like it was a problem. We had been over the no fish sauce. The tofu was covered in soy sauce - we had been over the no soy sauce because I am allergic. Now I know what you are gonna say - picky ass weird eating habits. I can't help it. I just expect that if you have vegetarian dishes that you understand what vegetarian means. I also expect that if we have a discussion about allergies and you ask the right questions and seem to understand that you might make a point to follow up with the cook. There are plenty of places that I don't eat because they don't seem confident that they can make something that won't make me sick. I respect that. However, if you say one thing and do another then I am gonna be kinda pissed. Our server did have it remade for me. I love Lemongrass Tofu but this, when I finally could even eat it, tasted like lemon Pledge. I took 2 bites and have been burping it all night. My husband had another kind of noodle bowl. Worst customer service ever! We came in last Friday night at 8:30pm and the waitress was already looking at us from the parking lot staring probably hoping we won't come in since they close at 9:00pm. Right when my husband opened the door the waitress immediately said we close at 9:00pm and continued to tell us we had to order and finish by 9:00pm. A couple of the items on the menu we wanted they were out but we ordered immediately and had to rush to feed our kids to be done by 9:00pm. We did finish by 9:00 pm but there were still another group of people who were still eating and we didn't hear her tell them anything when they entered. As i was driving on Everett mall way i noticed a yellow sign saying "$4 lunch special" and i couldnt resist. I never noticed this restaurant before but now i dont see why not. This is no ordinary pho shop people! I agree with all of the other reviews before but i must add that the Banh Hoi combo is to die for. When it comes to portion sizes, white lotus does not disappoint and when it comes to selection..well lets say they'll have what you want. From the well-known teriyaki to the home style Hue cuisine, this joint has got what you want. I went back a couple days ago and found out that they now serve dessert! This was just the cherry on top. I recommend this place for anyone passing by the Everett area or anyone looking for a great meal. read more
